I went to Lane Bryant tonight and got

1 pair of dress pants, 1 pair of jeans, 1 3/4 length tee, 6 pairs of socks, 2 bras(one for Cassidy, one for me) and spent just over $100 bucks.

Grandma said when I got home and told her I got new clothes with Christmas money(of which some is hers to me)...."I hope it's nice"....I replied "Good night too...Grandma"

The poor woman needs something to entertain her other than saying we're all going to h e double hockey sticks.

BTW, what's with the computer chips in your shoes?

They give you a chip to affix to your shoes, and periodically during the race, at the beginning, a couple of times in the middle, and at the end, you have to walk over a sensor pad. The chip records the time that you cross over each pad, and it lets the "powers that be" know what pace you are doing, and if you need to be swept.

That's what I'm pushing for. Who knows if it will happen, but it's fun thinking about it. My kids would love to meet your boys! I talk about them so much, that it seems like they already know your kids.

You should!!! There are Fun Walks and 5K's for the kids in the family, too. It really can become a family fitness affair. Alan and I are seriously looking at doing it again when the twins get old enough to handle something like that. I can't wait.

Older DD28 Kathrin spent the night at our house last night and took younger DD20 Kristin back to college for me this morning.

It really saved me time and energy and Kristin really appreciated it since Kathrin took a day of vacation to do it!

Kristin seemed to be feeling much better this morning, but still a little rocky. It was SO quiet when I got home from work tonight... Thanks for asking, Elizabeth!

If you fall below a specified time, then a van picks you up. They transport you to the finish line, but you do not get a medal for finishing. it was great incentive for me to keep my pace up!

Well, I'm all caught up and now it's time for bed. Alan and I have made a resolution to stay off our computers from the time he comes home until the kids are in bed, so if I disappear for a couple of hours every night, you'll know why.

We had a good dinner tonight, a sloppy joe based casserole topped with tater tots. The kids gave it the seal of approval, so I guess I'll keep the recipe!

After dinner, we played a game as a family, then read some stories and got the kids in bed. Jacob is having a ball reading the Magic Treehouse books, and is on book number 3. He's reading them out loud to me, and is so proud that he can actually read chapter books by himself. Katie and I are reading The Goose Girl and it is so good! I almost hate to stop reading each night.

Well, my bed is calling, and I'm going to answer. 5:30 comes awfully early in the morning.

Channon-I liked the cake. Here's one I ordered at the GF for our 21st anniversay. The Lenox Mickey/Minnie topper would look great on a cake like that. The one here is chocolate.
