OK, time to hit the shower and then head into work for a few hours. Enjoy your mornings, friends. :goodvibes

Have a great day all, I need to get to work!

As I sit here in the kitchen it is 61 degrees and the birds are singing outside, the sun is shining and the trees are ripe with buds. I bet we are going to get hit BIG TIME with a winter storm sometime in the next couple of months, but it sure is delightful right now. I wish I could pack it all up in a box and send it to you all who need it.
Bite your tongue, woman!

I need to get moving too. Talk at you all later.

Good morning, DDA!:)

DH went in at 11 PM and got home at 7 AM. He said the roads are fine, even on the bridges. He doesn't think it dropped below freezing. It just started raining again - we're supposed to have that off and on all day.

Deb - Sorry your day was so crummy! You know, Brother goes through spells where he is just obnoxious. He is horribly naughty one minute, then he is all whiny the next. Drives me up a tree! And last week he didn't want to sleep so he was tired on top of being naughty. It's a vicious circle. Hang in there!

Amy - Congrats to Kevin! I hope Matthew decides to sleep through the night soon! Have you tried a little Tylenol for the teething?

Lindsay - Glad you were able to get your errands done! I'm not sure what we're in for today, but I am staying home! I try not to tell my mother we're going to Disney until the day before. I don't see how it is any different than any other vacation. People return to the same ski resort or lake or beach, so why does it matter if all of us go to Disney over and over?

Janet - I hope your weather conditions improve and that your car doesn't try to escape again!

Jen - How's your grandma doing?

Thanks! I'm thinking about all the pictures I can take with no one waiting for me to compose my perfect shot. Lots of photos to take at the flower fest. Did you enjoy the rides alone? I'm thinking it must be "nicer" to share that with a friend.

I can't wait to see your photos! I had a little solo time on the last trip when I was early for our meeting. Composing photos is what I spent my time on, too.

Okay, here's a brief synopsis on what's been going on in the Hardman household since the New Year:
-We've all had the sniffles, but poor Matthew had it the worst, since he also had a double ear infection.
-Matthew has only been sleeping for 2-3 hours at a time at night for the past few weeks (teething).
-Kevin got a promotion at the prosecutor's office and a raise!
-Kevin is also the lead in the community play (Alan in Neil Simon's Come Blow Your Horn).
-Alyssa's current favorite Disney movie is Tarzan. She still names us all characters, but it changes several times a day.
-Alyssa doesn't seem to understand that some of the toys belong to Matthew.
-I am absolutely exhausted.
-Our Disney trip is less than a month away!

Again, I apologize for not being around to show my support to you all. I know I've missed a lot of joy and sorrow. Please know you're in my thoughts. :goodvibes

I loved the photos of Alyssa and Matthew!

I hope that you are all feeling better soon and that Matthew cuts those teeth and starts sleeping.

CONGRATS to Kevin on the promotion (and pay raise)! Break a leg in the play!

Laura watched Tarzan exactly once when she was little and has not ever let us watch it again. She was so mad that the father gorilla died. She still says that she hates that movie.

Take care of yourself as much as you can!

I can't wait to hear all about the Disney trip!

I miss seeing you around, but I'm glad that you pop in to let us know how it's going with your family.

Good morning :cold:

Remember me saying I could not get my vehicle up the drive? Well We were awoken this morning to 2 police cars sitting around my vehicle which had slid into the street :scared1: Dh had to do a skateboard stance & slide down the driveway :rotfl: I can laugh now beings he did not fall.

My vehicle is now parked across the street. I called work & had some guys bring some salt & a spreader over. So dh is now outside, hopefully it will melt enough.

We were hit with more ice last night & the salt trucks have not been out yet. The roads do not look to good. Everyone that has this storm coming or are getting it now, please be careful!!!!!!!!!

:grouphug: Deb.

I can completely empathize. Alyssa has been extremely whiny lately, and with Kevin at work then play practice, city council and/or church meetings, there are many days and nights that I feel like I'm going to lose it. Sleep deprivation isn't helping either, and thank goodness the Christmas cookies are gone, because I was stress-eating big time.

I wish we could meet for a girls' night out!

I know exactly what you mean. I actually thought of you as I was falling asleep last night. I was thinking that with 2 little ones, Kevin's job and play practice it must be difficult to get a moment to yourself. At least when Matthew cries it's because he really needs something. For colby it could be just because he isn't getting his way. He can actually make tears flow now and in the next second shut them off and tell me he was just kidding :furious: I think we all need down time now and then. I hope that you can find time for yourself soon. I was feeling the same way a couple of years ago and that is why I went back to work a few nights a week, just to get away. Normally I work on Saturday nights, but I didn't last night and maybe being off schedule contributed to my poor mood. Chris and Colby were quiet this morning and let me sleep in and now they've gone to pick up a motor for the Street Rod at a friends house. I plan to shower and get out of here before they get back. I need to run errands and I'm determined to do it in peace :goodvibes ::yes:: Thank you all for letting me vent and If any of you need to vent feel free, there seems to always be someone else in the same boat and it is always nice to hear that we are not alone when we are feeling so down.

Beth & Bernadette,
My only "alone time" last August was when I sat on the balcony after everyone was asleep:rotfl2: ...so peaceful.

Amy,
Give Kevin a big congrats from us!

Its very dreary & rainy here. 45 degrees. Supossed to get bitter cold by mid week. We are going to start redoing the playroom/tv room for the kids today. It used to be Sophie's bedroom when she was a baby. When she could sit up she started to rip the wallpaper border down & eat it. So we have to put this white wallpaper (sizing) stuff over it so we can paint. The kids have all drawn pictures of what they want the room to look like. All Disney themed. Unfortunately there is a pink carpet in their which we cannot change right now so we have to work around that. Any suggestions for wall color? (anything but white?) Also there is a daybed in there. I have to find a nice cover that maybe has bolsters/pillows so it looks more like a couch.

That is pretty :rotfl2: but it must have been startling in the middle of the night.

Morning. :goodvibes

I am really enjoying the absolute silence in my house :cool1: The cat is happily snoozing on the couch. He looks pretty excited to not have to find a quiet place to hide for his snoozes

I think I'll get ready and head out before someone decides to come home. We aren't seeing any rain, but the snow has already started. I wonder how much we will actually get. They were only predicting a couple of inches, but that was having the storm start off as rain. :confused3 Hopefully the stores will be quiet, but considering we've only got a dusting so far and the road are just wet I may find it very busy with people anticipating worse weather ahead. I guess I should bring a book or magazine to work tonight as it will probably be very quiet.

Have a nice day everyone. I hope you can all find some time for yourself, sounds like we could all use some.

Deb

Deb - I am VERY curious about the website you got your smiley from. Looks like the DIS blocked the name!
