I despise relaxing.

It wastes time. But maybe since this will be our 6th trip in less than 3 years I will start to work some of that out of my system. It kills me to rest when the parks are open. If there is an open park we should be IN THE PARK!
But I am TRYING to put together a schedule that is more relaxed and will allow for midday breaks and later dinners. In many ways this trip will be easier than last August because it is just the 3 of us. Last August we were with another couple and I bent over backwards to be a gracious hostess. I will NOT do that again. It was too hard to keep everybody happy and I just ended up being resentful.
Deep breaths, Elizabeth!
I used to be a commando-tourer, too. Heck, growing up, even going to Disney about every other year, we went from park opening to park closing (and that was back in the day when the MK and other parks would be open until midnight or 1 a.m. every night)! Now that we go more often (and I am in control for the most part of deciding when I need/get to go back), DH and I have really begun to relax and "take it all in." We spend more time dining, resting, noticing the small details, enjoying the resort, shopping, etc. We took so many naps on our 9-night trip last March - plus I read a whole book (350+ pages)! It was awesome!
BTW - I subscribe to TGM, too. I don't like a lot about the way he represents information (sometimes his writing style is a bit cloying), and I think he has to be
trying to make his site sometimes so confusing! That being said, I do use his information on the best days for each park, and have also used his suggested touring plans for the
MNSSHP and
MVMCP, which have worked quite well. Of course, I'm also a huge devotee of the Underground Guide. I just blend a little here, a little there, and also just rely on my own intuition in most instances, since I've been so much in my life.
I can remember the first time I read some of the suggested touring plans from both sources - I was like "Well, DUH!!!"
