Theresa, those are the only B&W pictures we have from the photographer. There is also one oil of Bob and me similar to the one I posted. The photographer was a dear friend of the family and the work was a wedding gift. The only caveat he placed on the gift was that he would do the formal shots and all the candid shots would be done by our friends so he could enjoy our wedding. Waaaaaaaaaaaay back in 1973 he suggested that our friends all bring their cameras and take pictures so that we would get the best shots of everyone. So we asked all 250 guests to do so and we got photos from probably 50 people. It was very interesting to see what each of them thought was important to click on. I will look for a couple of the albums later on this weekend and see if I can find some color photos. If you all think the styles are 60s/70s... wait till you see the colors!

And, for the record, Tammi... the shoes are not lace-up! They are peau de soie sandals that both my kids say they would still wear today! I found them in the dye-to-match section of a bridal shop in Erie, PA. They were already the right color for my dress. The hat was special ordered from a shop in Johnstown, PA and all the gowns were handmade by a seamstress in our town. My roommate (the one on the far right) and my best friend from college (the one on the far left) and I all lost so much weight after we graduated from college that May that our dresses all had to be remade in time for the wedding. Talk about pressure! The maid of honor is my sister and the other bridesmaid is one of Bob's cousins. One of the groomsmen is my brother, one is Bob's best friend and the other two are his brothers. Anyone want to guess who is who?

I figured out why we have such good looking kids here on the DDA. We had gorgeous brides! I love all the photos. Keep 'em coming!

I actually own those sandals in black. They are so comfy, I wear them all summer.

You guys ready for some bouquet pictures? I have it narrowed down to a selection of 4, all with flowers I like and don't like. I have a favorite, but I'll try not to tell until the end. Let me know your favorite!!! Forgive me in advance for taking a whole page!!!

Bouquet #2 - I'm not fond of the ferns - I'd sub in some smaller hosta leaves; and those purple thingies sticking out would have to be shorter...

Bouquet #3 - Would have to get rid of the pink and maybe some yellow...

These 2 are my favorites! I think they are both really classy looking!

Well, its been a long day, and I'm ready for bed! All kids are tucked in and asleep (except for Katie who is reading). Alan picked up his laptop charger, and is back in computerland, so I'm going to head to bed to read for a while.

So we bought a new car today.

It is a 2007 Nissan Altima. Dark grey. I looked at the '06 and was NOT impressed - my 2003 looked nicer as far as interior, and the body style wasn't drastically different, either. The '07 has MUCH better safety features, and the price they wanted for the '06 wasn't that great. We would have only lowered our payments by $30 per month! Now our payments are $25 MORE, but we will own the car at the end. And we might refinance to shave a few dollars off - the interest rate sounds high to me, but the other place I called could only beat it by 1%, so I want to look a bit more.

They told us they only made a profit of $32 on our purchase. I don't believe that for a second, but whatever. Sister gets to ride to Tae Kwon Do in the NEW car! I had to take DH's car to pick them up at preschool because we weren't through all the paperwork yet. I KNEW they couldn't get us in and out in 2 hours. DH stayed there and signed everything, then he brought the car to me. Brother is at a school thing wiht Dadboss, so he will have to wait until Monday for his first ride.

OK, so here are my wedding pics, for what they are worth. I didn't save any of the professional pics from my first wedding, but here is a favorite snapshot I saved of me and my sister from 1984 when I was 21.

For my second wedding we got married in our backyard, and my sister took some pictures, but no real photographer. We had both been married before, and didn't want all the hype/expense for our wedding. The picture isn't the greatest , but it's all I've got.

I can't believe my luck today!!!! While I was at bowling, Alan went through his side of the closet and got rid of clothes that don't fit him anymore, and also got rid of shoes!!! I can see the floor in our closet again!!! Hooray!!! I was so pleased, I promised him I'd help him in the garage tomorrow! It was a good day!

Have I said how much I love that guy of mine???

What a good guy.

Chris's side of the closet is clean too. Oh yeah, I cleaned it. he is a pack rat, me not so much.

Bouquet #1 - Don't let the apples fool you - I'd sub in crab apples because they are so much smaller. And I wouldn't want them as dominate as they are in the photo...

Well, I'm on my dad's computer so there aren't many of my pictures on here. However, I did find a folder called "Tia's Wedding". There were subfolders for the Vegas version and the Oklahoma version, but in the entire OK folder, I am only in 4 pictures and I am tempted to delete one of them due to the people in them (long story!). So, there isn't a very good picture of my dress, but you get the idea.

Vegas pictures:

(My sisters are to the right so you can kind of see the bridesmaid dresses. They were navy blue and someone made Rachel a dress very similar as she "had already been a flower girl 2 times and needed to be a junior bridesmaid this time.")

And because as I was looking for these I found this picture and had to share it. It was one of the funniest pictures of Terra as a baby. Phil dubbed it "Sweet Adeline" as she looks like she's in a Babershop Quartet.

It looks like I'm the last one up. That must be a record. I guess it's time to test the new mattress. My first opinion is that it is very hard. Apparently it needs to aclimate to our heat and it will soften as air is absorbed. It was shipped all rolled up. It is a memory foam mattress. Chris is in bed sound asleep so it can't be too bad.

BTW my mom stopped by tonight and she had just got some amazing deals at JcPenneys on boys PJ and Boys winter jackets.

Thanks for the recipes Glynis and the search, Heidi. We're going to break out the pot sometime this week and give it a try. Terra is very excited.

I was trying to catch up before going to bed, but Kassie wanted to spend the night and apparently the only way to get either girl in bed tonight is to go with them. Not a big deal for Terra, but Kassie has an actual bedtime at home and we're a little (WAY) past that. Bad aunt!
