Hi, everyone. Will have to go back and read to catch up. Feeling better here- FINALLY!

I have something I'd like some advice and feedback on, please. I got a call this morning offering me both prenatal classes each month (instead of just the one I teach currently). If I teach both prenatal classes, I would only make $100 short of what I'm making currently. That's 2 days work a month vs 12 days (plus workshops, etc).

I'm also considering working as a substitute teacher in the public school system where the kids attend starting this fall (if I quit teaching preschool). Then I could sub when I wanted, not have to worry about missing their activities, volunteer at the school, and hopefully not get sick so much. I do enjoy the preschool and like the women I work with, but it is a 40 minute commute and not much money, I'm not sure. BTW, subs make $60 per day up to 10 days, and then it is $70 per day.

Now, if I could just figure out how to sell these shirts (or something else) on Ebay, I wouldn't have to worry about it at all!

And, thanks to Kevin for the inspiration for my new signature. It's definitely my favorite one yet. And yes, my dreams really did come true!

I say go for the prenatal classes. Work less days and make almost the same amount. The sub thing is definitely a great idea. A friend of mine could make twice what she is making at preschool if she worked as a monitor at the Elementary school where he son attends. She is the same as you......she loves the people she works with and hates to leave them. It's the preschool at our church (Mount Zion Preschool) so she also has alot of friends from church that work there also.

Decisions, Decisions.........if it is more money to help pay for more Disney trips I say go for it!!!!

That is too funny. I read it to Chris and he gave me the evil eye. :confused3 . Of course I want a girl and since he can't provide one I'll need a sperm donor too.

Deb
I would go through another pregnancy if it was guaranteed to be a girl, but I think we would also need a sperm donor. Any volunteers? :lmao:

Bye for now DDA'ers. I am heading home to get my manicure/pedicure gift certificate that I got from DH for Christmas and I am heading to the spa.

I will check back with ya'll later.

Denise-

I would say go with the prenatal classes and subbing. Friends do the subbing route and love it because they can choose not to work that day or for that school. The commute sounds painful(I work 6 blocks from home).

I LOVE the new siggie espescially the baby picture

Just home from the ENT with the kids. Nobody has Strep but me, so that's good news. Their ears look great from surgery (tubes), and they all passed the hearing test. BUT, Rees' nose is bad again with horrendous nose bleeds, tissue, swelling. So he is having surgery on Tues, Feb 28. Go in for a post-op visit and, once again, it's a Pre-Op appt for him. Poor kid never catches a break.

Off to ballet and then to the special ed school program to drop off more paperwork. Try to be back on later.
:wizard: Poor thing. Prayers for such a special boy. I love the new sig. they were cute babies and still are cute. :goodvibes

Be careful! My neighbor tried 6 times for a girl. They now have 6 boys. The oldest is now 20 and the youngest is 12. She really wanted a girl! Poor thing! She loves everyone of those boys but one female in a house of 7 males??!! :faint: I feel bad for my DH and he only has 3 females to deal with.

Ooh! Enjoy!

Denise - I agree with what everyone else has said, prenatal classes and subbing. I would give anything to be able to work in the school where my kids attend. Luckily, I volunteer A LOT with the PTA, so I'm there quite a bit! It just puts my mind at ease that the staff knows me by sight, they know my kids, and I can keep an eye on things. As for th prenatal stuff, you're a natural at that, so I say go for it!

Love the new siggie! I love seeing baby pictures and those triplets are adorable at any age!

so this is a little frustrating - I found out that Diseny Press only accepts manuscripts through a literary agent -

that just seems like a pain to me!!

What is a girl to do!

Reason number 768 that Kate is Queen...She emails DDAers with Ding fares! Thanks to an email from Kate this afternoon that there was a $125 (yes roundtrip!) fare from Providence, Terra and I are headed to WDW this weekend. It was a struggle to make the hotels work, but we worked it out. We are headed out Saturday morning and will be back late on Monday. It will be quick, but SOOO worth it for everyone I think (Phil had another terrible morning so he is ecstatic at the idea of some quiet).

I'm not sure what we're going to do yet, but I'm not too worried. I think we'll just hit our favorites, get some autographs and catch a few parades and fireworks. I'm SO excited!!! :mickeyjum :goofy: :donald:

Ooh. I'm jealous. To just jump on a flight and head to Disney. I'm saving my money so we can afford DVC by the end of the year. That way, maybe I can do the same thing in the future.

Have fun!!!! (Like that isn't going to happen!) :rotfl: Glad it works out for your DH as well.

Thanks....
Now to rub salt in the wound I just checked the airfare again and it went back up  I can't catch a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it- the next time I find it again I am booking it and I will tell the others in the party and if they want to dilly dally again than it's their fault that they missed out on the deal!!!!

I suggest you do book it if it goes back down. The airport closest to us dropped down to 244.00 a person and I jumped on it but my neice felt sure she would get it cheaper out of another airport two hours away. Well to cut the story short the fare at the closer airport went up to 350 or so and she had to pay 260.00 for the fare two hours away. Now she is kicking herself in the rear. Sorry you are having all the trouble with your DHs family. When I decided I was going and invited my neice and her little girl I just told her when and where. She has let me plan everything as she is a single mom working full time.

I hope everything will workout so there are no hard feelings. I know it is hard to please everyone and even harder to have family members hold a grudge about something like this. GOOD LUCK

Wow glad everything fell into place for you. I love spontaneous trips. Of course DH and I have not had a spontaneous trip since baby #1 came along (now 17 years old). I think when they are all grown if we can still get around :rotfl: :rotfl: we might try it again.

HAVE A GREAT TRIP.

Yep we have 4 boys and DH has 2 more from a previous marriage. When we have them all in the summer, I start feeling a little  . I try not to even think about the grocery bill. :rolleyes1 Still, hard to imagine life without them.
