Thank you. I really appreciate that. My friend is not very religious (her parents were of 2 very different faiths and never did settle on which way to raise their children), but I know if she were, it would give her the strength she so desperately needs.
I just found out today that a coworker is getting divorced, and her soon-to-be-ex sounds just like my friend's husband. He went as far as to request that his visitation rights be granted to his parents instead. He actually said, "I wasn't a dad to (son's name) for the first 5 years of his life; I'm not about to start now."
I can't wait for my DH to come home from work so I can give him a great big hug and tell him how much I appreciate all he does for me and the kids.
