Did anyone watch Dr. Phil yesterday?

did you see the family where their deaf dalmation attacked their daughter and she needed 31 stitches on her face

the dad wants to keep the dog and the mom said no way the dog is coming back in the house -

the husband said that he felt it was not the dog's fault and the mom put their daughter in the dangerous situation and should have been more careful - and that he thinks she just needs to learn how to protect their daughter

Dr. Phil helped them come to a compromise to keep the dog outside until their daughter is older

I got to tell you though - if my DH said on National TV that a dog attacking my child was in any way my fault and that it was me and not the dog that needed to be trained - we would have way bigger issues than whether or not we were keeping the dog!!!!

I'm with you ....my Dh would be sleeping in the dog house for a loooongg time.

I am back from my trip and trying to catch up on all the pages and there are lots!!!

Ok friends, I need some help. My sister in law is throwing her husband a surprise 50th birthday party. She has asked us all to come dressed from the 1970's. I don't have anything that will fit the bill. Can someone give me advice on cheap outfits (or anything relatively easy to make) for my husband and me? I have no idea what to do! Thanks all you creative people.

What is PSB??
What is H&V.....Hollywood & Vine??

That for the info!!! Of the 8 kids on 3 are girls so I think the boys would love Toy Story. Let me know if you hear more.

Lynn

PSB is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot (Norway). They have princesses all day there. I really like the breakfast there (though I haven't tried the other meals). H&V is Hollywood and Vine. I'll let you know if I hear anything absolute on the Toy Story meal. I have been following a couple of threads on the dining board and listening in to what they here. Since we aren't going until October, our 180 days shouldn't start before they start ADRs so I'm letting everyone else do the constant calling. :D

So here's a great Queen story for allher loyal subjects....
since she is on a current events posting frenzy...

We always called her "WLWKATIE"
WLW is the Talk Radio station in Cincinnati, It is 5000 watts so you can hear virtually all over the midwest. On a clear night we can listen in SC! We used to say if you had news to get out...just tell Katie!!!!!

Sounds like she is trying to keep us all informed!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have a friend like that.....we call her 'the mouth of the south' :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Glynis - my law firm does a lot of themed "decade" parties, and I can tell you that Goodwill and thrift shops are my best friend! You can find a lot of ideas, and for pretty cheap in these stores. I know we even have one here in Dallas that had clothes grouped by decade, so it made shopping that much easier.

1970's is about the only decade I haven't dressed up for, but I would definitely think a polyester leisure suit is in order for one of you. Good luck!

Dawn, congrats and baby number 2 is just as special, things will work out and I don't think there is a parent who oesn't wonder how they will love another child as much as the first but somehow there just is enough to go around!!!

My number 2 just turned 8 and is so independent so make the most of when they are little!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :grouphug:

Hello all...

Just checking in...I haven't been around much and mostly likely won't be for a bit. My 91 year old father in law fell and is in the ICU. Very long story...but he isn't doing well. Very stressful, and Bill as the only child is having a hard time. We have been faced with some difficult decisions....we signed a DNR. I truly pray for a peaceful release for him...there's just no quality of life left for him. We are exhausted and functioning on only a few hours of sleep.

Hope all of you are doing well.

I know there is a board for this, but I feel more comfortable asking here. I am thinking about renting points for our Oct. stay at BWV. I would have to split our stay beings weekends cost so much more. Alot of you here own DVC, have any of you ever rented points before? I know my boys would love to stay there & being within walking distance to Epcot & MGM makes it even better. I was able to stay here for 3 nights on this last trip & I really enjoyed it & I would love to share this with my sons. The only way I could afford to do this is if I rent. So how hard is this to do, what all is involved? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :goodvibes
