A curley wurley is a chocolate bar with caramel running through it - let me go find a picture.

So, it wouldn't be used with the sauce that she also wants? :rotfl: When she first posted, I was picturing some kind of curly french fry to dip in the sauce.

I think that I forgot to come back with an update on SIL. I told you last Friday that she came through surgery fine. She went home on Monday which greatly helped her mood. She is still having a little trouble with speech (finding the correct words), but the doctors are sure that it is caused by swelling from the surgery and is temporary. She is a bit frustrated with that and exhausted (as is my brother). But all in all, they are heading back to "normal" life.

Thanks again for all the prayers, pixie dust, and good wishes! It really helped last week when my nerves were getting the better of me. :thanks: :disrocks: (We need one that says the DDA Rocks!!)

Beth

That is great news. We'll continue praying for continued improvement.

Well I just got off my butt to go in the kitchen and find the curley wurley - and what d'ya know DH has eaten it! The cheek!

Well I can't eat chocolate so I did give him permission to eat my selection box :rolleyes1:

No no! They are two different products completely!!! I used to live in England when I was 10 and these are two products that I remembered having that we can't get here in the states. One is a steak sauce that I use on scrambled eggs (you get used to the taste!) and the other is a Cadbury Chocolate bar. Yum!!!

Marti-

There is an English store in FL that I went to often when I lived in Destin for a summer. It was so nice to find the things you loved when living in England in there and knowing that they were truly from the UK. They are also the only ones who sold my favorite pop(which the name escapes me right now of course ;) ). It is one of my planned stops on our drive down to WDW this summer.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Let's check in with all the pregnant ladies -- yes or no to steak sauce and chocolate :teeth:

It's not in Old Town is it? We went in there last trip as DH really wanted a newspaper and some english chocolate and the prices were such a rip off! I didn't pay much attention to what we were buying but 3 chocolate bars and a newspaper came to a round 10 bucks - now 1 that's way too much and 2 - what are the odds of it being a round number??

Of course!! They also have a website but I need to get it again from my father....who now lives in Destin full time but I have no idea where or how to contact him (long story!!) So as soon as I have that info you will too!!

Maybe I could get a shopping list from you closer to the time and just send a box on!! I'll try and remember to PM you before we leave.

I have to say that the chocolate bar with caramel sounds fabulous.

Speaking of caramel and chocolate, my DD found a new fabulous easy, quick dessert. It is Betty Crocker Warm Delights. There is a chocolate cake with caramel topping. They have several different kinds - daughter liked the chocolate brownie. There was also a chocolate cake and a cinnamon swirl cake. It comes in a microwave bowl, you add water, stir & microwave. It is supposedly one serving. My DH and I shared one with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Wow!!!! It's nice because it is warm and there isn't leftovers. I've been doing so well trying to lose weight. This just about sent me totally off course. It was all I could do not to buy a third & fourth & fifth. I was bad and bought one a second day.

Nope I have never been to Old Town......it's closer to the Georgia border....can you imagine I lived a whole summer in FL and not once did I make it to DW? :sad2:

Theresa how on earth did you stay away from the DW being so close?

I can't believe I'm still DIsing it's waaaay past my bedtime - I think they're showing american idol twice a week for you guys right? For us they're running them one after the other on a Fri night - there's still another 30 minutes to go but it's 11pm and I'm beat.

Got my big party tomorrow night so need some beauty sleep!

 Night everyone :)

I've just spent the day in my wedding dress again - we had a vow renewal at the registry office for DH's parents - it was a surprise for them - they thought we were having a family portrait session at a studio and DBIL took them to the registry office to meet us. It was a lovely ceremony and we went for dinner after. It was freezing cold outside so we didn't get many pictures - but the ones we got were nice. DB was the photographer. Here's a link if anyone fancies a look: http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2111788297

:)

Oh and my DB finally gave me his wedding pics - so I have uploaded those too... careful there are quite a few!

Claire, they're so beautiful! Your brother did a great job! I love the first two of you and DH in front of the GF (one is b&w, the next in color - same picture) and the one of you peeking around the palm tree is really cute too! I love them all, but those were my favorites.

You were a lovely bride, and your DH is very handsome.

That was us in our "first dance" pose! We had done a real dance but it involved us standing close together and swaying around in a circle... not good for photos :rotfl:

Glad you liked them

I really am going to bed now!

Still can't share - trying to preserve the magic.... I'll share as soon as I can... but it involves doing something nice for another DDAer and I don't want to give it away!!!
Speaking of DDA's doing nice things for each other - I want to thank Theresa (babytrees) and Kate (our Queen) for finding gloves for me for Christopher's birthday party :goodvibes
