That is for people who actually scrapbook which I don't. I want accountability from my DDA friends - like the weight loss thread. I can scrapbook. I just need the motivation and support to get moving. The scrapbook board is more for people that scrapbook regularly and they share ideas all the time. I have all kinds of ideas (and don't need anymore to feel even more lazy).
sorry

I misunderstood - I think that is a great idea!!!

is anyone watching the golden globes?

We're recording it on the DVR so I can fastforward all the boring parts...just like I do every day with DOOL. :teeth:

I see you're online ITDJBW (Julia)! I'm not sure if you saw my post on the last page, so I'll say it again: Happy Birthday!!! :bday:

Amy :)

Nancy and Kate - I'm so very sorry. I have you in my prayers.

Cinderumbrella - while our circumstances were a little different, we did manage to have 2 successful family vacations. We chose the dates from the beginning, so that wasn't an issue. We also all stayed in the same resort, but again, that was decided from the beginning.

What we did do is say that we would go our separate ways *most* of the time. It was important to my MIL that we all have some time together, so it was usually a scheduled dinner or show. We only tried to do a park together once, and even then it was OK if we went our separate ways. I think we all compromised that day and just realized we might not all get to do everything we wanted but we really had lots of fun (much to my surprise).

I wouldn't change your dates or your resort. Since this wasn't planned as a family vacation from the beginning, I'd just let them know that is the time that works for you, and try to schedule some time in there for the whole family to get together. I don't see any harm in telling the truth - that it's very difficult for a large group to navigate the parks together and you'd much rather each portion of the family enjoy themselves instead of feeling like they're tagging along. If they've never been or aren't veterans, I'd buy them the Unofficial Guide and give them some pointers. Offer 1 dinner or getting together for Wishes or some other event (if you're comfortable with that) and be done with it :)

Tink2020, I think you've been given some good advice. DH and I were both working full time and in graduate school and we never saw each other. Since Kyle will be working all of the time anyway, it's a great opportunity for you to finish your education. While it is possible to finish it after kids, it's much, much, much easier to have it behind you. I would buy something in the low end of your budget (I would definitely buy vs. rent and build equity) and save the larger home for the time that you both have the time to enjoy it. Good luck! :goodvibes
