Ok, his name is Brian Wilson. Actually, "C. Brian Wilson". Destined to be someone important, I suppose

He was pre-law and worked on a few of Boehner's campaigns thorughout school... so sometime between 1999-2001. I doubt you'd know him, but I thought it was interesting! He also went to Washington to do something for him, but we don't know those details. I wonder if Kyle has a picture or something, or if it would even have been possible that you guys had met

I do not know him - DH might - he has had more contact with the offices than me-

he kept up with the staff for work -

I just kept up with his wife!! She is a sweetheart - she and I used to have a blast in DC together - I was the only girl on staff who could really leave the office so she used to have me take her to the events for Congressional wives since she didn't have a car and I got to stay with her!! It was so much fun - the best was our Christmas tour of the white house!!!!!

It was actually a pretty neat idea -- I didn't expect it to be there of course! And as favors at our wedding we gave our jars of my cousins homemade strawberry jam. I don't know why Paul picked a strawberry patch.

Sounds a lot better than my grocery store parking lot in the rain walking home from the doctor's office.

I hope you are all getting ready -

Unless you have already seen High School Musical and can pass my quiz - I expect all of you to be watching it and not on the boards!!!

I was hoping to watch it again tonight but my DH has informed me that our satellite is out and we need a new part. However, I've already watched it and I'm hoping I remember enough to take the test!! I really enjoyed it the first time. I've watched the end 3 times now.

ETA: I'm getting old and don't have as good a memory as I once did. I hope the test is multiple choice??!!

I think the thing about declutter would be that I would not be emotionally attached to your clutter -

for example: I bought Julia an adorable wood dollhouse at target - I got it on clearance for $14 - it was normally $80 - she NEVER plays with it but I love it b/c I got a great deal on it and I think she should love it - I really need to put it on ebay - I am just too emotionally attached to it

I also got the Dora dollhouse buy one get one free last year - and bought 4 - we had 3 girls who wanted it - it turned into the toy of the year and I sold the one extra dollhouse for more than I paid for all of them on ebay - she never plays with it - but I got such a great deal!!!!

Once I successfully implement what I learned last night - I would be happy to let you all know if it works!!

Since our moving is contingent on selling our current house, obviously the plan to put our house for sale is on hold for a couple months.

Seriously though, I learned an important lesson today. Don't mulch close to your house!!! Not only does mulch attract termites, but termites might actually already be breeding in the bag of mulch you purchase!!!

Everytime I go to Disney - I look for the perfect bag - I have recently given in and gone with the old fanny pack - but it isn't really what I want

so I am thinking about designing and making the perfect Disney bag and if I find it is feasible sell them on ebay - so I thought that I would get all of you to give me input on what would be your perfect Disney bag

I imagine there would be different needs for people with strollers, without, with small kids, no kids - maybe it will be a whole line - but it seems to me people are always asking what kind of bag to get to take in the parks

so my goal is to find out what people want in thier disney bags and what price point they would be willing to pay

here are my must haves:

must hold camera, cell phone, fast passes seperate from the money, my small binder, be comfortable and easily accessible -

I also need a bag for my kids though - it must hold an extra set of clothes, their pins a few activities = a backpack usually suits my needs just fine and I can get Disney ones at the disney store so a custom one would not appeal as much to me - but maybe you all have idea of what would attract you to a custom bag for your kids

so do you all get the idea now? you can either post your ideas here or pm me

and if you think my idea is not very good - I would love to know that too!!! If you all think it is a bad idea - it might save me some time!!!

and if you all give me totally different must haves - maybe I will find the best idea is custom made to order bags!!

Interesting you should post this now. I spent several nights in Lansing shopping for a Disney bag (after having shopped locally and in Green Bay and Marquette). I have also decided to go back to the fanny pack. However, now that I'm losing weight I was hoping not to look so "frumpy".

What I'm looking for in a bag:

I need a small zipper pocket on the front so that I can put my Disney pass/room key (whatever the thing is called), drivers license, and a little bit of cash.

I need a bigger pocket for my autograph pages (4x6), park maps & notes (I have individual pages with reservation #'s, tips, etc. for each park that I take out of my binder and fold up when we are in the parks), and highlighters. I think there are a couple of more smaller things but I can't think of them right now. If I carry the camera (my DD's carry theirs in their purse which I use instead sometimes), I usually attach it to the outside of my fanny pack so it is right there.

It has to have a comfortable strap. I like to have my bag easily accessible (either in front or just to the side). I was looking for an over the head (and one shoulder) bag. I found one that I've been testing around town but the strap is too thin and hurts my shoulder after just a short time.

ETA: It has to have room for a DDA iron-on.

As I think of more things, I'll add them. Vicki

I am a very organized person at heart. However, I had the same problem as you when my girls were young so my house was very disorganized (people from work couldn't believe this because I'm so organized at work). I was not able to successfully get organized at home until this year now that my oldest DD is off to college and my youngest is a Junior in high school. I was finally able to detach myself from a lot of things like you describe. I have still kept stuff for my "grandkids that I want now but don't want my girls to be moms for at least 10 more years". Anyone got any ideas on how to accomplish this??

This sounds like a great ideal. It is funny but since my trip is coming up soon I still have not decided on what I want to use in the parks. I have several different bags but am just not sure what I want. BUT it must hold my small camcorder, digital camera, money, park passes, comb, autograph book/clip board. For the autograph book a side slip in pocket would be my best bet.
I will add more if I can think of anything else.

In theory, I like the shoulder bags that LL Bean carries for a park bag. They seem like they'd be large enough to hold the necessities but are supposed to be back-friendly. Disney-specific compartments would make it perfect. In reality, however, I use the diaper bag!

For my Mommy-and-daughter trip last May, I bought a super-large "Mom purse" from Liz Claborn. It was way too big, and I know I accidentally bumped a few people with it (sorry!), but it held everything I needed it to.

One of the features it had that I liked was a mini wallet that attached to the inside of the bag with a cord. I never had to fish around for the wallet; just feel for the cord. I kept my Fast Passes, APs, DDE card, Disney Visa Rewards card, Disney Visa card, and stroller rental certificates in the wallet's slots.
