Are there any designers out here that use Photoshop? I have an opportunity to take an 8 hr class on Photoshop, through work, and wondered if it would be worth it.
Mine were done mostly with Photoshop. I would highly recommend taking it. :thumbsup2

Midnite--I'm not sure that I have ever seen your photo before. You are beautiful! And all of your kids are absolutely adorable. You did a great job on that "Wednesday's Child" photo, too.

Beth

Thank you.

Not a problem at all! My little one sometimes acts likes a tomboy, but mostly thinks she is a princess! She came in the other day with mud on her shoes and made me IMMEDIATELY clean them! :goodvibes

Thanks! Terra will wear a dress, but won't keep it on. We got her birthday pictures taken the other day (almost 3) and she was so excited to wear her new dress. Within 10 minutes of the last picture she had her dress halfway over her head and wanted to put her pants/shirt back on. Of course, when we were at WDW in Nov/Dec she also refused to take off her Sleeping Beauty and Snow White dresses after breakfast and wore them until mid-afternoon most days so you never know.

Hey Midnite - I really liked your Wednesday picture and your signature pictures. Glad you're hanging around some more - we missed you!!

P.S. my bowl never arrived :rotfl2:

I agree ::yes::

I was looking for pictures to make my new signature with and found this on my harddrive. I forgot I had done this. When I worked for an ad agency we had a party where the designers made computer-generated paintings illustrating famous sayings. They then printed them out, framed them, and displayed them at the party. I chose "Wednesday's Child" and did one of my daughter. I had her pose for me and told her to "look sad" which isn't easy for her. She's always so upbeat. :teeth: Anyway, here it is:

I'm back. I just spent 2 days catching up with everyone. Sounds like a lot of you need pixie dust and hugs. I'm so sorry some of you are going through the things you're going through right now. Just know that you have a place to vent and lots of shoulders to cry on here on the DIS.

I was out of town, throwing a baby shower for one of my best friends. We've known each other since junior high school and the many miles between us (AL and NJ) don't matter one bit. It should be a very happy time, but it's not. Her husband (not DH) leaves a lot to be desired -- doesn't help around their fixer-upper of a house, doesn't bring in much money, doesn't provide her with companionship, doesn't do anything for anyone other than himself -- and being up there clued me in on the fact that it's even worse than I had imagined. Although he did agree to this baby, he has said that it wouldn't change his life and that if something happened to my friend, he would not raise the child. Come on, jerk, even animals take care of their young! (Plus he hates Disney. No redeemable qualities in that guy whatsoever.)

I'm very sad that my friend will be a married "single mother" and wish I lived close enough to help. She is the sweetest person I know, but never learned how to make a decision and is now stuck living with the aftermath of her many poor choices. It's painful to witness.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Boy I can relate to this :rotfl2:

Amy - I know you're worried about the six pounds - but I can gain that on McDonald's drive through - and I'm not pregnant!

Ok, I'm attempting to post some pictures of my kids. I've never done this before, so I'm hoping I remember the instructions correctly. Keep your fingers crossed.

If all goes well, this is a picture of all my kids last Easter. I hope this works.

Ok, so I've figured out how to post pictures. Can anyone tell me how to resize them to make them smaller? I've got some from our last trip to DL that I'd like to share (T-shirts to show off). Thanks.

Glynis your children are beautiful!

Thanks. I'm pretty partial to my kids. Considering what I had to go through to get them, I think they're little miracles! But then, what baby isn't?

Thank you on all counts. :) I drew that picture using Photoshop and Painter on my Wacom tablet. I haven't actually touched real paint since my daughter was born. I used to paint in oils and acrylics. Now it's all pixels ;) Easier clean up, no fumes. :thumbsup2

P.S. my bowl never arrived :rotfl2:
:scratchin I shall contact Tiffany and give them a piece of my mind!

Oo if you're gonna make fish and chips you gotta do it the English way.

You'll need cod or haddock in batter...
FAT chips - just cut the potatoes up chunky (you should really deep fry them but oven cooking is fine)
Then salt and vinegar and some tomato ketchup or tartar sauce

Oh and to be real authentic you should wrap each serving in newspaper and eat them out of that yum...

Love English fish and chips and now you have made me hungry for some, it is one of the things I miss from SA, we had some in Australia and got DD hooked too, love 'slup' chips!!!

What about some ENid Blyton? The famous five or secret seven - or are they too old? Or the Hardy Boys? Or Harry Potter of course.

We don't get much Enid Blyton here, when my DD was little I looked for noddy and they never had heard of her, we grew up reading her books.

Glynis - you've been holding out on us - those kids are some good lookin' kids!

I have one question everybody --- how come the children on the DDA are gorgeous? There isn't an ugly one in the bunch - how did that happen :confused3
