AnneMarie - Thanks!

Jen - Good luck with your ultrasound.

Vicki - Enjoy your impromptu day off. Take it easy and feel better soon!

Glynis - It's amazing that you feel so much better. YIPPIE! Now if we could just get Deb up to snuff.

So far I've gotten 1.5 loads of laundry done (one more to go), went grocery shopping, and baked a batch of cookies (don't be too impressed, they were the Pillsbury already sliced ones). I did sprinkle red and green jello on them. My holiday baking just doesn't compare to some of yours. Plus I know my mom will send me back with loads of cookies on Saturday. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Chris has been a doll and helped me with cleaning, shopping and even holiday treats   I really needed all the help that I could get today.

Deb

Those are so cute! Would you mind sharing how you made them?

The sad part is I didn,t have to look up the answear to the Garden Grill question, it just took me that long to type the answear in.
I noticed my signature is from the weight loss thread. As a long overdue update, I have now lost an additional 25 lb.s. I am now lighter than I have been since 17. How did everyone else do?

Way to go, Chris!!!! That's fantastic! I bet you and Deb are one HOT couple, huh?

I'm good, too! I've reached my goal, and now am working on maintaining. That's harder than the losing was!

Jen good luck with the Dr appointment!

Tammi glad the kennel is able to take your furbabies while you are gone.

Elin thank you for the card!

Vicki I hope you are able to relax today & get to feeling better :wizard:

Glynis so happy that your stone did not cause you to much pain.

Elizabeth have fun at the book store!

Deb I hope you are feeling better today :wizard:

Have a great day everyone! Talk to you all tonight.

You can join us in our next New Year's Resolution, to add exercise to our lives. Last year weigh loss, this year exercise. Now all I have to do is get rid of this pain :furious:

I think I'm going to make that my goal for next year, as well! I really want to make exercise a consistent part of my life. I'm afraid that without the marathon as an incentive, the exercise part will "walk" out of my life. I know if I have to report to y'all, I'll be more likely to do it! Thanks for the inspiration for my resolution, Deb! I like it!

Chris wants to take the Kitchensink Challenge. He thinks he can eat an entire kitchensink by himself in less than an hour. If he can do it, it is free. I'm pretty sure he can do it too.

We'll all cheer him on! Go, Chris!!! You have to eat it for all of us!!!

It's official. Chris is addicted to the DDA :rotfl2: I'm going to drag him to bed now or he will not want to get up in the morning. Chat with you all tomorrow.

Deb

Yay! A new member of our family!!!! We're so happy!!!!

Hi! I feel like I haven't talked to you all in forever!

Things are fine here...just busy! We went to our zoo's "Festival of Lights" on Thursday evening and hosted dessert for a progressive dinner on Friday night (I made Dawn's rum cake, a cheesecake made with Splenda, lemon squares and brownies from a box for Kevin :teeth: ). Saturday, we spent the afternoon at a fun local event with carriage rides, pony rides, and Santa, and Saturday night, we celebrated Christmas with Kevin's dad. Yesterday, we went to an extended family function, and I made peanut butter balls.

I still need to wrap most of our presents, make my cut-out cookies (the dough is in the refrigerator), finish our Christmas cards, and make turtles (gosh I wish my dad would settle for the easy kind you posted Elin, but he's spoiled :goodvibes ). We travel on Thursday to visit my family in Northern Ohio. We'll celebrate Christmas with my grandparents on Friday, Christmas with my mom on Saturday, and Christmas with my dad on Sunday. We'll head back home Sunday night, and we'll celebrate with Kevin's mom on Christmas Day.

Today my mailbox was brimming with cards from so many of you! Thank you! And Vicki, thanks for the joyful tears today. Wait to you all see what she did! :grouphug:

Take care everyone!
Amy :)

Don't I know it! After being diagnosed just once with kidney stones, you remember that pain. I hoard any major pain pills that are prescribed for me, and use them when I feel that pain start. Since nothing can be done for my stones except to wait for them to pass on their own, I take pain meds and sleep.

How did the jello cookies turn out? I haven't done any of those this season and my kids are asking for them. Maybe we'll do that today. We'll see how much other stuff I get done.

Elin - Thanks for the card! I love it so much!!!! I can't wait to show it to the kids and Alan! They will love it, too!

I'm getting so frustrated with our scanner/computer!!! We bought a digital picture frame for my mom and dad and are putting pictures from all of my siblings on it. I know they will love it! However, my brother Addison, is not quite up to date on technology and doesn't have a digital camera. He gave me an envelope with all his pictures in it and I'm trying to scan them so we can get them all uploaded to the photo card that goes with the frame. Sounds easy, right? Not so fast!!!! My scanner works fine for a couple of photos, then it quits and I get bizarre error messages. I end up having to turn it off for about 15 minutes before starting up again. GRrrrrrr....... This should only have taken me about 30 minutes, but I've been working on it for almost 2 hours and I'm not even halfway done with the photos!

Do you have an older computer Glynis? It could be a memory issue. Are you shutting down just the scanner or the computer for 15 minutes? I know I had the same problem when I had my scanner connected to my older computer that didn't have much memory. You might want to get a feeling for how many pictures you can do before it acts up and then just "restart" your computer after that many pictures but before it acts up.

I am getting ready to leave for work, but I had to come on quickly.

Vicki I received your card & I am honestly in tears. I am so touched as I know everyone else will be. I want to say more, but I will wait till others receive their card. I also received a package with lots of Tinkerbell items, Thank you so much!

Glynis, Bernadette, & Tom, thank you for the cards. The photos are wonderful :goodvibes

I know others have said it, but this is the most caring, thoughtful, & giving group I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. I am so happy that you are all a part of my life.

I have got to go now & try & make my face look presentable for work. Good day everyone, I know mine will be :grouphug:

Yummy! I already ate 2 of them. :goodvibes Over the next few weeks I'm sure I'll gain back 10 pounds!

Well after 2 of you crying, my curiosity certainly has been piqued.
