Jumping in,

Hi Glynis :wave2: How are you tonight??

EXHAUSTED!!! This has been a crazy day!

I dropped the twins off at preschool, then went shopping. I accomplished quite a lot! I picked up the twins, then we went to my sister's house to pick up a digital frame we got for our parents. I had to wait there while she uploaded her photos, so we got to visit for a minute. Then it was off to one of the local malls where Katie's school choir was performing. We shopped for Mary's present for Alan, then had lunch (Chick-fil-A, just in case Amy's reading!), then watched the choir perform. Unfortunately for me, the mall has a playground, so we had to hang out there for a while. Finally we left the mall and came home. 30 minutes later the older kids were home from school, and we headed to Costco to pick up my Christmas cards. Only, silly me, forgot to bring my purse, so we had to turn around, go home, grab the purse, go back to Costco and pick up the cards (grrrr!). We finally made it home around 6:00 and I still had a load of laundry to fold and another to put in the dryer. I made dinner for the family, relaxed for a while, and now I'm here! I'm addressing envelopes as I DIS.

Can I just say, I'm glad today is over????? I'm looking forward to bed!

How are you doing, Becky?

Well, it looks like I won't be going to work tomorrow. Nicholas just threw up all over the carpet. He runs out of his bedroom and stops at the top of the stairs calling for me, instead of running to the bathroom. But in his defense, he probably hasn't vomited since he was about 2, so it's scary for him. I have a feeling he just ate too much and stuffed himself. At least that's what I hope. He went to karate tonight and acted completely normal. But he did complain about his stomach hurting when he went to bed. He is now sleeping with me. Send pixie dust that he doesn't throw up in my bed!!!

Poor baby! I hope he's ok, and that you both get a good night's sleep! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks. He's sleeping now, so I should probably try to do that as well. Goodnight everyone.

OK, DDA! The bids are finished!!

We got (drumroll, please) our second choice! We are now booked at WL August 15-24. Our free dining ressie changed over, no problem! :teeth:

Now for the POSSIBLE complications:
DS SHOULD start back to school Aug. 27 because they passed new legislation mandating all TX public schools start no earlier than Aug. 27. If they start earlier we are in trouble. If they start Aug. 20 we would lose half our vacation. If they start Aug. 13 we are squashed like bugs.

The other complication is that DS is starting middle school and I imagine if they have an orientation he will miss it, because they will do it the week before school starts. (Assuming school starts Aug. 27.) There is no info on the district website for '07-'08 yet.

DH's other week is Easter. Since we are going to WDW in February and since Easter is crowded and expensive I think we won't go that weekend. DS might have Friday and Monday IF there are no ice days before then. If he gets the days off we might go visit my mom.

It sounds like you will be able to make a trip with dh. That is great!!! I'm glad that it worked out better than you thought.

I thought you already said you were a Pal mickey addict?? :confused3 :confused3 :lmao: Wasn't that enough. :teeth: Just joking Vicki.

I should do the same: My name is Becky, I am 24 years old, single but always looking for my Disney prince charming. I have a cat named Penny and a Betta fish named Mushu. I live in central PA.

I guess since I told her to let us get to know her, I should introduce myself, too. I'm Glynis. I'm 39 (going to celebrate turning 40 in WDW!!!!), have 4 children and a DH who is not as Disney loving as me. I'm working on him! We live in northern Utah.

I'm doing alright, except for the previously mentioned tummy issues and my back hurts. I worked this morning and have to work tomorrow morning and have a Girl Scout meeting tomorrow night. Tie dye t-shirts for gifts are finished I still have letters from Santa to finish. I worked out, watched the old version of the Grinch who Stole Christmas. Been dissing for a bit, I should head to bed soon, but am too lazy to get out of the chair I am sitting in.

So I brought 2 white belts to Karate tonight and this is what I came home with

ChrisandHunterDec2006.jpg

:thumbsup2

Hunter earned his yellow stripe and Chris earned his yellow belt. The tester told Chris that his yellow belt test was the best he had ever seen. That made Chris' day. Nicholas gave up a while ago. He wasn't too coordinated when it came to karate, but at least he gave it a try. Hunter did awesome and was not asked to repeat anything as others had too.

We also resized Hunter's project. We kept all of the key elements and just kind of smooshed it together. I guess it would be functional for a mouse, but not a nice as the original version. When chris went to get the project this morning the teacher made the comment that she didn't know that it was too big as she hadn't found time to measure it yet :confused3 We cut 15 inches off on one side and 6 inches off the back. It was pretty obvious. When Chris said the was taking it home for Hunter to fix she asked Hunter if he'd rather stay in for recess and work on it then. So why would Hunter give up recess, which is a punishment for not getting work done on time, when he could do it at home where he has the proper tools, like a glue gun. Some things could not be done with regular glue. Oh well it is finished and so is his letter. He is glad that he doesn't have to worry about it anymore.
congrats Hunter and Chris. :cheer2:

Well, the first batch of Christmas card envelopes are addressed. So, I'm going to bed! I'll see you all in the morning. Have a great night, everyone!

It's almost midnight so I'd better get to bed soon too.

First I should introduce myself. I'm Deb, mother to 3 sons, Nick, Hunter and Colby and wife to Chris(kitchensinkguy). We live in Vermont and all 5 of us are obsessed with Disney. We are currently planning our first trip home as DVC members. It is a 3 week trip!! yep, I can't wait. I am also a hostess and bartender at a local restaurant which takes up 3 or 4 nights a week. In addition to that I take care of my nephew 4 days a week and I'm a Den leader(and more) for our Cub Scout Pack. The DIS and the DDA are my destressers so I hang out with this cool group of people as often as possible. In my spare time I like to make crafts and do a lot of home repair projects. I guess that is is in a nutshell. Nice to meet you

Hi Theresa, I just said to myself I wonder where Theresa is and sure enough I refreshed and you had posted. How are you? I really should be getting off my butt and getting myself to bed.

Since everybody is introducing themselves here I go:

My name is Theresa, I am 35, married to Jim and mom to a teenager (Cassidy) and a twinkie (Abi). I am an office manager at a church and our Pal Mickey is one of the travelers!! By the time he gets back to us he will have been to WDW more times than me!! :teeth: All of us love Disney and the DDA is chosen family for me.

Marci I am sorry to hear of your loss. You & your family are in my thoughts & prayers. :grouphug:

I read your post of needing to go to bed.....and thought I should do the same!!

I have had a heck of a time sleeping the last few nights....I must have done something to one of my feet and it has been painful....I was happy that I got 3 hours of sleep straight last night.

So if I go to bed, will you??? :teeth:

Tammi- I watched Terri Erwin with Barbara Walters and she made me tear up also.

I just saw a wonderful piece on our news: A Colorado service man died over in Iraq. His body was brought back tonight and in at least two spots on his final drive home there were flags being held up by citizens to honor him. It was a beautiful sight.
