The Christmas concert went well. I thought they all played great! I was disappointed though, I could not see Garrett very well. He was in the 2cd row & not very visable. We took our camera & video camera, but were not able to video tape beings we could not see him :guilty: Here are a couple of pictures:

Vicki, great pictures! Now I really want to go at Christmas time! Maybe next year! I just wish this wasn't such a busy time for us!

And I didn't detect a Texas drawl from her voicemail she left me!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

People are always shocked when they hear I'm from Texas - they always ask where my accent is!

Born and bred, but I guess I've just never picked one up! :goodvibes

That's good news, Jen!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for good health coming your way!

Well, we had a busy day today! Took Leighanna to see the Santa at the mall, thankfully she didn't ask for Butterscotch again! The camera was down at the Santa booth this time time, and wouldn't you know that I left mine at home!
We had our family pictures done today. Whew! after about 60 or so pictures we only got to choose from about 10 (thankfully Thursday afternoons aren't that busy). Someone's eyes were always closed or looking the wrong way, but a few did turn out good.
We came home and I took our own photos for our Christmas card (see my new siggy). I thought since we were all ready dressed I might as well do it. Hopefully I can get them printed and mailed out before Christmas! :goodvibes I sure had alot of outtakes from this experience too!

Unfortunately our Christmas tree buying adventure didn't pan out because we received a couple of inches of snow today, and I didn't want to bring a wet tree home, so I set up one of our "artificial" ones. It looks nice and I don't have to remember to water it every day!

Tomorrow is our Anniversary and my Company Christmas Party, so we have a sitter for the night. Hopefully we will be able to finish our shopping too!

Hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Happy Anniversary, Tom! I hope you guys have a great one. Love the new pics! Leighanna is such a doll (and you and DW aren't bad, either! :goodvibes )!

Janet great pictures! Leighanna has her Preschool Christmas Program on Tuesday night! She said she has bee practicin' everyday, but she is not supposed to let us hear her! :goodvibes I caught her singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in the bathtub yesterday, and she told me to get out! :rotfl: She does know all the words, so it should be cute!

Thanks Lindsay, I consider myself the lucky one to have such a beautiful family!

Marci - :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for you and yours. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you!

Vicki and Terry - thanks for the pics! It is nice to see everyone having such a good time!

Elizabeth - great trip recap - I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful time. :wizard: for the vacation bidding process! It was also nice to see a picture of you - now I can keep an eye out for you on the streets of Dallas! ;)

Stephanie - I'm sorry you have to leave tomorrow, but it sounds like you have a wonderful amount of memories to bring back with you!

Janet - the Samantha Brown TC special will be on again! 12/19 at 1 p.m. ET. My DVR recorded the later showing for me this evening, but I caught most of it in real time. Ahh - I can't wait to be there - this time next week, I'll be fast asleep at SSR! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Tia - if you check this before you leave - HAVE AN AWESOME TRIP! I can't remember if our dates overlap at all, but I'll keep an eye out for you and Terra!

To everyone else - :grouphug: :wizard:

I'm off to bed - sleep tight all!

A couple of pictures before I head to bed. I am usually work nights, so it takes me awhile to get used to sleeping at a "normal" time when I am not used to it.

Trying to get used to the self timing mode on my camera. Today was the first time that I used it, so I had to have a little practice! :goodvibes
2006_1207Christmas20060023.jpg

Oops! I thought I had set the timer for 10 secs. but accidently had it set on 3. I think this photo is funny because I can hear my DW telling Leighanna she better get ready!
2006_1207Christmas20060034.jpg

I think Leighanna was getting a little tired of my picture "antics" and just wanted me to stop at this point!

Can I ask a question since you know your cameras? I bought my first digital Canon 550 online. What kind of memory card do I need? Not sure what I am supposed to buy? Thanks

You need an SD memory card. I found with my 7mp camera that 1gb will hold about 300 pictures at full resolution.

I would also recommend purchasing a backup battery-especially since that camera requires a lithium battery so if your battery dies you can't just buy a new one anywhere. I always have a 2nd charge battery ready to go if needed. You'll have to check your user manual to make sure you get the right one. If I found the right one on Amazon its only about $12.50.

Enjoy your new camera!

Just a fly by to say we are home! :)

I am exhausted! I will be around tomorrow to give you all the highlights of our trip and catch up on what I have missed!

Good night, DDA!
Welcome home!

Well, I am almost ready! Shirts are made, laundry is done and most everything is together. I just have to actually pack the suitcases in the morning. :rolleyes1 I really need to be in bed since I have to take Phil to work in 3 hours, but I am too excited to sleep. The reality of leaving is finally hitting me and I just can't wait. :dance3:

Lindsay, we don't leave until the 17th so we do overlap. Our plans as of now are:
14th - AK, Boma and DTD or mini golf
15th - MK, MGM, Fantasmic
16th - Epcot, MK, Spectro, Wishes
17th - Unknown

If we overlap in our plans at all, give me a call when we may be in the same park. My cell phone number is on the DDA contact list.

Other things I noticed in my quick catch up:
Jen - Congrats on the close location. I hope that you are feeling better soon.
Tom - LOVE the Christmas card
Ellen - :grouphug: to DDIL as she has to leave her sweet baby and lots of :wizard: that the time apart will be short
Deb - That robe is beautiful. I think that MIL will love it.
Bernadette - I'll see you next weekend!

To everyone else - Have a wonderful week and I'll catch up with you after the 17th!
