At least Chicago is used to snow and they know how to handle it.

Around here everyone just freaks out. I'm keeping my

for you.

Same here! We're supposed to maybe get freezing rain/snow tonight. Craig flies out to Albuquerque in the morning. :(

I cannot believe the awful weather many of you are having! It was gorgeous here again today. No jacket required, sunny and breezy. Just lovely!

I hope the weather issues won't affect anyone's travel plans.
I know I've been wearring flip flops, sandals and short sleeve shirts and its almost December. Although today was cloudy and drizzly, dreary looking but in the 60s.

Sending :wizard: :wizard: that the weather doesn't affect anyone's travel plans.

Chuck and I are seriously planning on being at FW in our camper in June 2008 as well.

I'm doing well except for the lovely cramps due to TOM. I have the next two days off from work. I thought I was going to relax :joker: I gotta call the Dr. to reschedule my check up appt, call Girl Scout Council, go to the post office, go to AC Moore (I'm starting to think I live there), make name cards and scrolls for my Mother for the Candlelight brunch she is hosting one of the tables.

I also have to go to 2 different earned Income tax offices to get my occupational privilege tax money back for last year. You have 2 years to get it back. You only have to pay $52 but if you work at more than one place sadly they often will take it out. You can get it back but you have to go to the EIT office after the employers have paid it. Well I tried back in May and they weren't all paid yet so they wouldn't give my money back. I paid over $100 last year and the same this year because I worked at more than one different place and they each took it out. I have to go to two different offices because they were in different cities. It is such a pain in the butt and waste of time.

I have to do my class evaluations, not for my grades but because they let the professors know the students opinions. Although I am glad my assignments are done.

My two free days aren't looking very free anymore.

Nope those don't sound like free days to me either.

I am going to finish the 12 ornaments(forgot to put that these are for the Tea)...when I am not sure...each one took me over a half hour for the two I did tonight...we had Christmas Choir reschedule from tonight to tomorrow. I am hostessing a table at our Christmas Tea Saturday morning and the adult craft at my work church's Advent Festival on Sunday...didn't realize when I committed to them that they were the same weekend.

I have never heard of EIT before....I mean I have but not being able to get it back except on my taxes.

Well all I'm off to bed!!!

Good night DDA!!

and

Good Morning, DDA!! :sunny:

hope the weather holds up for all of our travellers!!

I am freaking out...we are supposed to get a foot of snow tomorrow night...and we are to fly out Fri. am!

I don't have to go or do anything for a few days except get a mile away to help Kristi if she needs it so I'll pray it will stay further south and dump most on us instead of up north on you. pixiedust: for clear travels!!

We had that today too! Though it is falling fast. The rain has started with freezing rain by noon tomorrow, sleet to follow through the evening and 3-5 inches of snow on Friday predicted to follow that. Quite a change from the 60s-70s we've had for a week.

I was going to say the same thing! It is turning nasty in Dallas - but that's okay, I wouldn't mind an ice/snow day! I have Christmas decorations to put up, and it would put me in the perfect frame of mind.

I'm like a little kid with my fingers crossed!!!

I hadn't had a chance to thank you all for the sweet comments on Chase and family. They came home this afternoon and are doing wonderfully. Kristi doesn't seem to be moving near as slowly as I remember doing after Terra was born. Chase is doing great! She only lost 4oz and Kristi is already feeling like her milk will be in soon so that is good too. She is just so tiny, I can't even imagine Terra like that. Of course, Terra started out about 11oz bigger on the same length so that could be part of the difference.

With the icky weather moving in, I am looking forward to a couple of at home days with no one to worry about with Terra. And even then, Phil is home tomorrow. With Chase coming this week, no progress was made on the box/room movings so I've got that on my plate for the next 9 days before we leave.

Lucikly, though, my Christmas shopping is mostly done. I finally got lists from Phil's brother and sister so I can get some things ordered and sent in the next week since the cheapest mailing deadline passes while I am gone.

I know that I missed most travellers for this week, but to those I didn't...HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!! Enjoy the DDA company, the cruise and the stuffy wedding of the century (as Theresa called it ;) ).

Welcome back to Anne Marie and Paula, it was good to see your typeface if only briefly. Hopefully, with my time more my own again for awhile I will have more time to keep up and chat.

As for now, though, I am off to bed! Nite!!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am one of the DIS board members representing this board and the VMK board in the Extreme WAPASADI game, as a member of the Nightmare Fantasmics. I think we have a great team and we hope to make you all proud of us.

My SIL got tickets for her and her kids to ride the Polar Express. It will be somewhere around here next Friday and it is supposed to be like the train in the movie. They are very excited. I really don't know much about it so I'm not too excited for them. I guess I should google it and find out what we're missing. The tickets were very hard to get.

Deb
If you learn anymore about this, I'd love to hear it. It sounds like it would be fun!

ETA: Nevermind. I shoulda kept reading. Thanks.

Welcome, Rushdude! It's great to meet you. We are all going to support you. Good luck!

Good morning, DDA!

Today is going to be another mild one, though not quite as sunny. I'll take it, compared to what some of you are getting ready to experience. I'm praying that it doesn't effect anyone's travel plans.

Welcome! You ought to have a ball. We are here to cheer you all on. Keep posting. We are a friendly bunch.

Morning all...

Just wanted to wish all the travellers a safe journey. Have a magical trip. Here's :wizard: that the weather doesn't cause any problems.

I am caught up but honestly don't remember alot. My brain is quite fuzzy. Here's some :wizard:, :grouphug: and :cheer2: for everyone. to all the VMK Disers. Nice to have you around!

Tia~ I did want to say congrats on becoming an aunt again, Chase is beautiful!

I have a busy day ahead of me, Molly and I will be baking Emma a birthday cake. Emma invited her grandparents over for Game night and Pizza to celebrate her birthday. They will stay far away from Build a Bear with 20 kids invited. My mom is the only brave enough to come along.

Just an update~ My official due date is the 5th of July. I started seeing a new OB as my dr is retiring in early 2007. I was a little nervous about starting over with a new dr but my girlfriend recommended him and he is fabulous. It was almost as if I have been going to him forever. That was a big relief! He did say that if I had not delivered by July 1 he would induce me on the 2nd so I could be home for the 4th.

I hope everyone has a great day.
