I just wanted to introduce myself. I am one of the DIS board members representing this board and the VMK board in the Extreme WAPASADI game, as a member of the Nightmare Fantasmics. I think we have a great team and we hope to make you all proud of us.

Hello, Rushdude! Welcome to our little corner of the DIS! Good luck on the game! Even though I'm not an "official" cheerleader, I'm cheering y'all on! I don't understand the game, but if Kate's on your team, you are in good company!

Stick around and join our family. We love newcomers!

I'm so glad she's getting this! I was toying around with the idea of getting them for the twins, but didn't know if they'd be able to work them. I'll be interested to know how Alyssa does with it, and if she likes it! Way to go, Grandma!!!
I'll let you know Glynis. The ad makes it sound like it is pretty simple, so we'll see.

Good morning! Well back to the usual craziness trying to get the kids off to school!!! And to think I missed them while I was away! :confused3 :rotfl2: (they are all fighting as I type!)

Does anyones kids keep adding new things to their Christmas list???? Mine come up with a new thing everyday!!! Um kiddies..Santa is done!!! :teeth:

I am going to try & get some wrapping done today but the kids have a half day so not sure how much I'll get done.

It is going to be in the high 60's today but cloudy & foggy. Have a great day DDA.

Yup. My kids keep adding things to their lists. I just tell them that Santa will probably pick and choose from their lists and not bring them everything. I know that they will be happy with what they are getting, though. This is the first year that I've felt that with all my kids. I'm pretty happy about our choices this year!

Good Morning Everyone,

Here's some PD for all of our travelers :wizard: , hopefully the weather won't interfere with your flights.

I'm feeling much better this morning, yesterday I was pretty sore. Tuesday I woke up feeling bad and got a late start to work, well on the way there there was a traffic jam on the interstate, and for some unknown reason the 18 wheeler that I was behind decided to back up, and with no where for me to go as we were in a traffic jam he backed right into me. Fortunatly the damage is minor but now I have to try and get the trucking company to cover the damage, as the driver never stopped. The officer that took my report said he prbably never even knew he hit me.

I don't have another trip in the works yet, but I feel the World calling my name.

Have a Great day everyone, I'm going to try and get things rolling around here, I have barely started my Christmas shopping.

Debbie

Yikes!! Glad you are okay!!

I had my parent meeting last night at church for the pageant. I volunteered to be one of the angel coordinators, to help them dance up and down the aisles. I also have to come up with costumes for Nicholas and Alyssa. Does anyone have a shepherd or angel costume they would let me borrow? I don't need wings or halo, as the church has those, just a white sheath/dress or something.

Well, it's a busy day here! Preschool for the twins, Christmas shopping and wrapping, Katie's violin recital this afternoon, and finally a Reflections award night this evening. I was told yesterday that one of Katie's entries won an award. I'm not sure which one, so we're excited to find out. Katie doesn't know, yet! I wanted her to be surprised tonight.

Dinner is in the crock pot, so all I have to do is shuttle my kids around.

I'll be in and out today. I hope you all have great days!

Have a wonderful time Vicki!

Luckily, the weather prediction at least early this morning was Green Bay and Cincinnati were just going to get some rain. None of the freezing rain and snow that Chicago is getting. I was unhappy when we had to change our flights because of AA messing with our flight times but it may have been divine providence that we'll miss the snow in Chicago. Otherwise, we'd have been flying from Green Bay to Chicago. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers that there are no delays for us due to the bad weather coming through. We'll be home late Tuesday night.

I don't know if I'll be back before the end of this crazy day so:

I'll miss all of you and will think of you while I'm at Disney. Have a great week-end and I'll check in on Wednesday.

Hope Abi feels better soon :wizard:

Abi is home sick from school today.

I am just waiting for a co worker to come in and my bulletin volunteer to get here. Then I am going home. Yes, my grandparents are home but sick munchkins need their mama!!

Sorry to hear about your car, hopefully ins. will take care of it. Take care of yourself! :wizard:

I would pay money to see this...

Well the yuckiness is on its way in. The rain changed to a steady sleet as we were heading home from the grocery store. Rachel's school is letting out at 12:15 so she should be home before long. The sleet is supposed to stay with us through the night before the snow hits around midnight. 1/4" of ice expected with 4-10 inches of snow on top of that. Not looking forward to that at 4:30 in the morning when it's time to take Phil to work. If I thought that he would be comfortable driving in it I would send him with the car and we'd all stay home, but growing up in So Cal, I think that he's only driven in snow once and that was at the front of the storm outrunning the worst of it all the way.

The good part though is that I bought firewood at the store this morning so I forsee a toasty fire, cookies baking and unpacking the rest of the Christmas decorations for our day. :vibes:

Hope things are staying enough south for everyone headed out in the morning! I'm glad we're leaving next Friday and not tomorrow.

That would be something nice to pass down through the generations!

Could anyone with some spare "safe driving" pixie dust please send some our way? My dad is a courier and just picked up a run going from St. Louis to Wisconsin - aka right through the whole of the storm. Luckily he is leaving now and not as it gets worse here, but I don't know what you all further north have in store for the night. Thanks everyone!

So I've been busy today.
I rescheduled my Dr.'s appt, called and emailed the Girl Scout Council.

Went to Walmart, Starbucks, AC Moore, the mall, back to Walmart to pick up my prescription, to the post office, to the Earned Income Tax Office, to Home Depot, Target and then to Wawa and finally home.

I still don't have the mess that is the Occupational Privilege tax worked out as one of the employers still hasn't paid it from 2005. They told me I should contact the employer and see if they can refund me the money instead of paying it to the EIT office and then have them write a check. We'll see what happens.

I hope everyone is having a great day.
