I'm trying to dis and have my feet in the foot spa at the same time... a little odd, helping the right, not much on the left which hurts the most....but maybe I haven't given it enough time.

I just want to say that I've said it a lot of times but you ladies (and gentlemen) are some of the best people in the world!!

Make sure you see a pediotrist asap. They can get you the proper orthodics to stop the pain. They have some available otc at the office, but they can prescribe custom made ones. The pair that Hunter just got have been amazing for him. He has only had one bad night in the last 3 weeks. That is better than we had hoped.

Becky - I have to say, as bad as I am in the kitchen I have NEVER set off the smoke detector. DH has, though! :rotfl2:

This was not as bad as the flaming cereal incident. :joker: :joker:

My roommates in college stored the cereal boxes on their sides in the cabinet above the stove. They used to open the cabinet and stuff their hand in the cereal box and pull out cereal whenever they wanted. Their favorite cereal was Lucky charms or the generic Well in the process of getting the cereal, it would go everywhere including in the stove burner pans. Lets just say they were not the cleanest of people.

The one day I was cooking something and the next thing I know is there are flames coming out from below the pan and up the sides of the pan. Somehow I got the pan off the stove and the stove turned off but the flames were probably 18 inches high due to the flaming sugar from the marshmallows and frosted flakes. Once the stove was off the fire went out. All the smoke detectors were going off and I honestly thought that the sprinkler system was going to go off. Luckily it did not.

Another time can't recall if it was the same roommate or not. She was burning a candle in her room on a book shelf, which was allowed as it wasn't an on campus apartment. Somehow it lit the bookshelf on fire. I was sitting and watching a tv show in the main living area. I see her running down the hall screaming my room is on fire and she goes and grabs the fire extinguisher. Luckily it went out pretty easily. :sad2:

When I was younger, the smoke detector in our house by the kitchen was extremely sensitive and it would go off every night while my Mom was making dinner. Just the heat increase by the oven or stove was enough to set it off. The running joke was it was our dinner bell.

So our tree is up now! It is naked, but it is up. And I am pleased to report that DH's wire splicing held up through the off season so the tree does light up. For now.

We wrapped washcloths around the repaired areas, then covered the washcloths with foil. Then I slithered under the tree on my back and attached sheets of foil to the underside of the bottom branches. All the while the cat looked on with great interest. Evil beast. I am thinking maybe I should wrap up something heavy - like cinder blocks - and put them under there so she can't get to the branches very easily. Luckily the foil isn't visible unless you are flat on your back under the tree.

o man..my brother and i just had a major freakout moment..im watching the 11:00 news and the main story is an airman that was killed from the base near our house..so as im watching they are saying a 22 year old male, stationed at the local base, leaving for iraq in a couple of weeks was killed.
Steve , my brothers best friend, fits all of these descriptions and we knew he was in that area last night (alot of restaurants and bars)..we just went crazy trying to call him and luckily it wasnt him, but he knows the guy....It was so scary waiting for him to answer t hat phone, i was never so happy to hear his voice (except when he called from iraq!)

My mom has custom orthotics. She has to wear them every waking minute. I hate shoes so I hope I don't end up with the same problem.

How far did he get the last time?

Why am I talking like he is invisible?

Chris - how far did you get the last time?

We were unaware of the challenge the last trip,so we ordered it for the family. I would say a conservative estimate would be me consuming 3/4 within 40 minutes. popcorn:: :stir: :p

That is so scary. You are going to be a mess when he is deployed.

BTW did your boyfriend come home? Is he still acting funny?

Deb

Becky - Were those your roommates when you had the neighbors with the flaming phone books over the balcony? I am really sad I didn't know you back then! :rotfl2:

It is so nice to see so many posting here tonight. I sure wish that I didn't have to head to bed. However, if I'm going to make the 8 hour drive to Lansing tomorrow, I need to get as much sleep as I can. Hopefully, I'll feel better in the morning. I really, really should go down there for this meeting but if I'm not feeling any better, I don't think that I can. I guess the morning will tell.

Good night and good morning to all my DDA friends!

Hi Marci, glad to hear you are having a good time.

Becky & everyone else that has lost weight, congratulations!

Vicki, Glynis, & Deb :wizard: Hope you all feel better soon!

I am calling it a night. It was a long day at work & the closer to Christmas, the worse it will get. I have a headache from stress & being tired. A good nights sleep should take care of it.

Night all, talk to you in the morning.

It's official. Chris is addicted to the DDA :rotfl2: I'm going to drag him to bed now or he will not want to get up in the morning. Chat with you all tomorrow.

Deb

Good luck! Though I have to say, just looking at it gives me a queasy stomach. I don't know how you do it!

I have to find us a doc first....but I am also hoping I don't need orthotics as shoes and I don't like each other!!
