This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the softness of the design. I really need to get going on my designs for our Dec. trip. I spend too much time trying to catch up on this thread!

Do you like Dr. Pepper? Diet Dr. Pepper really does taste darn close to regular Dr. Pepper....

Chuck switched to Diet Dr. Pepper and thought the same thing. I just have never been able to go to Diet anything. I just cut way back on my quantity of Pepsi and started drinking water in its place. With worrying over Chuck for a couple of months, I did get back up to 2 Pepsi's a day and I'm working my way back down to less than 20 oz. a day. I'm still maintaining my weight in the mean time though.

Who do you do Secret Pals with? I was wondering if the DDA would want to do secret pals? My female cousins and I used to exchange names every year and announce it at the Christmas party. My dad had 12 brothers & sisters and my mother had 8 so I have LOTS of cousins!!!!

I would love to do something like that!! That way I might even get to meet my secret pal!!

My baby is off to school for her first day of her last year in high school! She was really excited. She has always loved school both for the social and learning aspect. I did something right with that one. Most of her friends took a light schedule since it is their senior year. She has decided to take French and Psychology as well as regular English and Math and 2 more classes. They haven't let her take a foreign language or regular English class because of her learning comprehension problems. They have decided that she is probably ready for regular English this year instead of the special class that they set up for those with learning disabilities. I think she harrassed them into letting her try French. She has been wanting to for years now.

morning DDA!
This is my last day of summer break-i start my senior year of college tomorrow! I do not know why, but i am petrifed about starting classes--i never get this worried . I dont know if it is because of this class cancellation thing they are doing (no emails yet!) or if its because i have art and im worried about that..whatever it is, im petrified.

Sorry to vent, but im going crazy!

This is my last day of summer break-i start my senior year of college tomorrow! I do not know why, but i am petrifed about starting classes--i never get this worried . Jen, try not to worry about it. You will do just fine. It very likely has more to do with it being your last year. I know that Becky is starting to stress a little over things because it is her senior year of high school and she is starting to worry about what comes next. That stress is pouring over into other things so she is worrying more about things that she normally wouldn't.

You will do great!!! Even in Art! Just apply yourself like you always do and you'll get through it just fine!

You have a right to be worried.....but don't go crazy. It will all work out tomorrow.

Remember, I can help with the art class....I just told you I couldn't help with ology classes.

Thanks!!! I am definitely going to need the strength. David and I are not getting along now. I feel I can get thru any crisis as long as I have David by my side. He is taking whatever anger he has on his older son (Sam) out on Austin and Alex. I finally gave him a piece of mind and told him to leave my boys alone. I have never separated Sam and Melissa as seperate children from Austin and Alex. But they are 26 and 29!!!! Let them live their own lives and stop trying to bail them out!!! I am tired of trying to fix their lives when I have two boys (8 and 12) that I am still trying to raise. I know they have been thru alot. I feel like the mistakes I made with them I am not going to make with Austin and Alex. After all I was only 21 when I became their step-mom. I still had growing up on my own to do. Now they are older, married and have their own children. They still can't handle their own lives!!!

O.K..........I have vented and feel a little better. Thanks guys for listening.

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from our last camping trip which was over a week ago. Sorry for the delay.

This is Nicky with our oldest dog Tuffy. For some reason Tuffy was laying with only his head on his bed so Nicky decided he'd lounge on the bed for a bit.

Here is Nicky in his costume ( Harley Guy) riding with Colby also dressed as a Harley Guy.

Here are the boys in costume. It was raining so Nicky was in the camper keeping dry.

I had hoped to get a picture of Nicky on our new deck/porch, but the weather is not cooperating.

Here is a photo of our new deck/porch. This photo was taken yesterday before I had a chance to do any clean up. Obviously we still need to change the board below the threshold (I'm thinking diamond plate aluminum in honor of Chris's occupation/hobbies). I am also planning to do some landscaping. It only took us 6 years to put in permanent steps

Good Morning all. I see that Vicki is trying to catch up on the oodles of pages that were posted while she was relaxing at her own private little campground. I am so jealous. It was nice to only have a few pages to read this morning. I'll take that at a hint to get some housework done. Oh yeah, I finally book the first 2 parts of our 2007 vacation. I can't book the last part for 5 more days, but I'm glad to have some booked. Since we are going to be there for 3 weeks we've decided to try 3 different DVC resorts and a few nights in the regular resorts on the weekends as I'm trying to save points for a quick halloween or christmas trip I guess I'll have to give Chanon a call when I'm ready to book our regular hotel rooms

Your photos turned out much better than mine. Did you use flash? I was afraid the flash would bother her, and she moves around A LOT while working. I'll find mine and post them later. She is amazing, isn't she! I love when she makes things like bird wings.

Beth, to be honest, I have no idea if DH was using his flash or not, as he was the one taking the photos. As there is one picture (the one of her and I together) that is really dark, I'm guessing that maybe he did use the flash. If he did, it didn't seem to bother her.

She was amazing! (And we did her little chant that she says over and over while making them the rest of the day!) I'm just so mad at myself for not taking better care of my swan!
