Tell me I'm not the only one that gets up at 6:30 in the morning and runs the dishwasher and washing machine...

Nope! That's the only way it stays remotely caught up around here! :goodvibes

Opinions please!

As much as I want to talk to Dawn, I'm hesitant to call her. I figure she hasn't contacted me (us) for a good reason, whether it be they're still running tests, finally getting some sleep, etc. She knows we're all worried...she wouldn't leave us hanging without a good reason, right?

Marti pointed out to me another scenerio: See - I'm from the other school of thought... she'd like a friendly voice to call her and ask if she's ok. Sometimes she may need that diversion and doesn't realize how much time has gone by. I'd call her cell and leave her the message that "just thought you'd like to hear a friendly voice and to let you know we are thinking of you"... if she answers, even better.

Can a few more of you chime in with your thoughts. Obviously this isn't a debate...I just feel really helpless right now!!!

Thanks!
Amy :)

We needed the rain, but it really is a drag. I hope the sun decides to show up a little bit today! :sunny:

And, I'm not really looking forward to Alyssa and Matthew learning the concept of sarcasm! :teeth:

Amy :)

Ok, you know I love you and think you're great and all -- but if this is true, you REALLY need to let them spend more time with Kevin than their mommy! :rotfl:

Hi! Yes, the kids spent 12 WEEKS in the NICU. It was not a fun time in our lives at all. We had open house last night for the parents. It went very well. The room looks great. I have one more Disney set of signs to print and hang. Kids come tomorrow am for meet your teacher time. I've been working around the clock. I actually have a day off today, so I'm in bed and about to take a long nap.

BTW, I'm only 5 pounds from my first goal weight! Hopefully will make it by our trip in 3 weeks (and then eat like crazy at WDW!). John is down 25 pounds and looks great.

How are you doing? How did preschool go for the girls last night?

WTG Denise and John!!!!!

Hi Amy

If Dawn were at home I'd be hesitant to call in case I interrupted her, woke them up etc. But as she's in the hospital and I am assuming that there, as here, cell phones have to be switched off and you're pretty much guaranteed to get voice mail I would give her a call and leave a friendly message. :grouphug:

I know it's been forever, and half of you probably have no clue who I am, but for those that remember me. Check out the new signature line at the bottom.

Nice to read you again and congratulations!!!

I'm with Marti on this one.....though it drives me nuts because I tend to be more toward your school of thought...I have a feeling that friendly voice might help.

Can someone please tell me the technical difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero? I just bought a Coke Zero at the store and it tastes like diet to me.

I know I need to drop my "real" soda calories as a start to losing this pregnancy weight, but I really hate the taste of diet cola.

eeeww, i think Coke Zero tastes much more like regular Coke than Diet Coke. Get Diet Dr. Pepper, or Dr. Pepper Berries and Creme. Or Fresca. Those taste good :teeth:

Eh, not any more of a problem than it already is even WITH an account! :rotfl: I hate budget crap. I finished today and it's really nice to see everything on paper, but man is the upkeep annoying!!!!!

Yes I know. I bought Quicken and have yet to get it going.

Amy,

Diet Coke has aspartame and Coke Zero doesn't.

I really did think it had Splenda in it, my girlfriend who drinks it told me that was the difference. Guess I was wrong! Wouldn't be the first time

There's actually a third drink to throw in the mix, diet coke with Splenda. I think it has some yellow in the label. Just to make things more confusing

Is anyone here familiar with the "Flat Stanley" Project??

In a nut shell: (this is our letter)

Hi there!!
As part of our integrated Reading, Writing, Language, Social Studies, and Mathematics programs we have read a funny book called Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The book is about a young boy named Stanley who is accidentally squished "as flat as a pancake" when a bulletin board falls on him. Stanley is very, very flat but otherwise fine. The story goes on to tell how Stanley discovers some real advantages to being flat. He can slide under doors, go down into sidewalk grates, and even fold himself up small enough to fit into an envelope and be mailed to California for an exciting vacation.
We are sending FLAT STANLEY to visit cities all over America and the WORLD. I have selected you to be FLAT STANLEY's "host family" and hope that you will send him back to me after a short visit. We would also appreciate it if you could snap a few pictures of Stanley’s visit so we can put them in our journal.
Thank you for letting my FLAT STANLEY come to visit you!

I am looking for volunteers!! Anyone willing to take on a Stanley??

I love Flat Stanley, and the activities the classrooms do with him! I'll do it :)
