Poor Matthew!

Michael (dh) had (and still has) an allergic reaction to the sun while we were at Disney. It is horribly itchy and OTC meds aren't doing much for him. He is way too stubborn to see a doctor about it, though. I'm hoping that it will go away in a few days now that he isn't in the sun anymore. Fortunately it didn't start until Thursday, and we came home on Saturday.

I got a rash too but mine my skin felt like it was on fire anytime I was in the heat or the sun. I know the exact cause of mine it was the antibiotic I was on though. I was so glad that a lot of the time I was there it was cloudy as my skin didn't feel like it was on fire quite as bad and putting sunscreen on made my skin feel worse as I think it heated the skin quicker. I tried several types of sunscreen thinking they would help and all made it worse.

Sending that his goes away quickly.

alright,,time to head to bed..im working at moms work for the day tomorrow..i also have a big dr appointment at my endocrinologist...will find out if i can change my medications or if i need more surgery..wish me luck!

Mornin DDA! Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of weeks. Thanks for checking in on me Chanon! I admit I've skimmed here and there but honestly don't know much of what has been going on. So if anyone fancies a recap I would appreciate it. My schedule and routine has changed that it will take me a while to settle into it. I'm sure once we get going I will be back a little more often.

Things have been a little crazy around here. Emma started school today so we have been making it a priority to try to spend more time with her. We also had a wedding and then have been getting everything in order to buy our first house, we have been renting with option to buy for the 3 years. Thankfully we don't have to move! If all goes well we will settle mid September. And then there is Mo. We had to move her back into her crib as we have had many issues with her not napping and sleeping in the toddler bed. She did great for a while and then just decided that she would stay up during nap time and it was taking her about 3 hours to go to sleep at night. So when she was up she was very grumpy. She has been a 7pm-7am sleeper since she was 3 weeks old.

She & I were chatting regularly before I went to Girl Scout camp. I haven't heard from her since. I just sent her a pm to check in on her. I let her know that you were asking about her. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I had sent her an email and a PM as well, last day she was on was 8-19-06.

I'm the opposite! I love CSI and NY but can't stand Miami - I just don't like Horatio... and some of the other actors look too similar to the ones in CSI

DH loves the Miami one and I think that Horatio talks like Capt Kirk. It drives me crazy.

Just back from the doctor for Matthew -- wouldn't you know it, 3 days before our insurance kicks in the kid gets bitten by some sort of unidentifiable insect... $43.80 later and he's now in the tub. Benadryl to follow. The bite spread to almost 2" and was red, hot and tender. Poor kid!

Well, I'm off for a while to make dinner! Tonight I'm trying a new Hot dog/baked bean recipe. Sounded good, and it matched our end of the month food budget. I'll let you know if it's any good. I'm also reheating leftovers from last night. Sweet potato Curry in a Hurry! It was wonderful! If anyone wants the recipe, let me know!

Speaking of cheap food items one of our grocery stores Weis, has Kraft Mac and cheese 8 boxes for 80 cents or 10 cents apiece, only works if you buy 8 boxes. They are actually 5 boxes for $3 making them 60 cents apiece but if you buy any 8 items off of that page in the stores ad you save $4. Therefore 8 boxes are $4.80 minus $4 = 80 cents.

The special started yesterday I bought the last 3 boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese in the store, plus other items to make the 8. The cahsier said lots of people have been buying it but it isn't that good of a price. Had to explain to her it was 80 cents for 8 boxes. She said they should have more in on Wednesday. I might go back for more as you can't even buy pasta that cheap.

I get out of bed................I hear it again!! I get on the floor to look for mice...

My brand new computer chair, has a tag hanging from it...and in the path of the air conditioning keeps hitting my desk...making this noise....like MICE I tell you!!!!

Sorry you had issues sleeping. Although when you said about mice I thought the hamster had escaped from the cage. I hope tonight you sleep better.

Thanks, everyone, for welcoming me back! I am in a bit of a post-Disney depression, plus I picked up a nasty cold while I was there (and still have an annoying cough), and I have so much to get done already. It's great to have everyone welcoming me!

Kristine, I also need to know why you only slept for an hour.

Feel better Beth, my brother got rather sick after the trip. I on the other hand was sick before and a little during the trip.
