We need some prayers and PD here on the coast again, Ernesto is supposed to make it into the Gulf by this weekend, one of the tracks I saw had it headed this way. It is way too soon to say for sure right now but if it gets anywhere near here it is going to be mass chaos. You would not believe the number of FEMA trailors still here, we don't have near enough shelters for everyone. My stomach is already churning, I've lived here most of my life and I never felt like this before, DH says we are out of here if anything larger than a 2 heads our way.

BTW, for those of you who watch the weather channel, Jim Cantore is in town.

I'm praying for you and everyone on the Gulf! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Gotta love my Granny!!! They dug some oil wells on the property where she grew up and my grandma still has the mineral rights. Every once in awhile she sends all of the grandkids a little money from the oil checks. So far her timing has been impecable too because it seems to come when someone really needs it.

I had the day from he double hockey sticks today, but thankfully the day is over so I can soon go to bed and look forward to a better day tomorrow. By the way I think I may have trumped you all on the Pain the the AS* mother in law department. Chris was able to dig the holes and poor the concrete footings for our new deck. If the weather isn't crappy tomorrow we should get the deck done, however the forcast is for rain.

Deb

Yuck! I hope that your day is much better tomorrow and that the :sunny: comes out instead of the rain!

What a bunch of gabby chicks you are!!! :teeth:

My whole weekend is being taken up by soccer tournaments.....in the rain no less!!!

Bill & I both made the 25 pound loss mark on Friday! I think the stress of Jonathan leaving contributed somewhat :teeth:

Congrats on the 25 pounds gone! What a great accomplishment!

Thanks Elin!

Have you ever gotten into the whole soy aspect of dieting?

The only soy I've been able to try is Quaker's Soy Crisps. They are pretty good when you're in the mood for a potato chip!

Day one of my trip report and some pictures are included with it. Here is the link.

Day two is typed and I'm loading more photos but the Dis isn't cooperating and I am tired as I have been up til 3am or later the last two nights and up by 7am. Even once I went to bed I couldn't sleep.

My TOM is here and I am feeling achy so hopefully I will sleep. Although the lack of sleep is probably because of TOM.

Good night all. Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to everyone who needs it. I am going to my cousin's b-day party tomorrow. Talk to you all later.

Well, I think that Marti's migraine headed west when it left her. I think that I am off to find some medicine and talk my nightowl little girl up to bed. I'm not sure when I'll make it back on tomorrow as it is my sister's birthday. We're having lasagna dinner after church and then heading to Cheesecake Factory in lieu of a birthday cake. I'm afraid that I may jinx things again, but I have to at least try...keep it down to a dull roar tomorrow if you can.

Since we seem to be posting from different pages - good night Deb and Glynis.

Night, Tia! I hope that your headache is gone when you wake up! Have some cheesecake for me, ok?

Glynis- Did you ever get to walk/run today??

I really am going to bed now.

Nope. We had some drama around here today. One of Alan's hard drives (he has several to hold his freelance work) crashed with an incomplete project for a client on it. It wouldn't be so bad, except he can't find the tapes that have the raw video on them. So, basically, on a $5000.00 project, we are SOL. I don't know what he's going to do. He's been trying for hours to get the data off the hard drive, but it's not working. I've been tearing the house apart to look for the tapes, but they are not here! It's been frustrating. Hopefully the client will be understanding and let Alan shoot the video again!

So, no walking for me today. I think I'll plan on it for after Church tomorrow. I'll let you know.

And now, I'm off to bed. I need to finish reading "The Kite Runner," but I'm really caught up in "Size 12 is not Fat." I'm going to read a couple chapters of each book before drifting off to Disney dreams.

Despite Planetary Diss, Disney Gives Props to Pluto

By Natalie Finn

The planets may be out of alignment, but Disney is sticking by Pluto.

In response to the news Thursday that a team of astronomers had demoted the icy little sphere to "dwarf planet" status, the Seven Dwarfs themselves took time off from hacking away in the diamond mines and romancing Snow White to issue this statement, via their friends at Walt Disney World Resort:

"Although we think it's Dopey that Pluto has been downgraded to a dwarf planet, which has made some people Grumpy and others just Sleepy, we are not Bashful in saying we would be Happy if Disney's Pluto would join us as an eighth dwarf. We think this is just what the Doc ordered and is nothing to Sneeze at."

Mickey Mouse's dog and best pal, Pluto first appeared in 1930 in the Disney cartoon The Chain Gang, as a bloodhound unleashed to find escaped felon Mickey. To this day, he wears neither clothes nor gloves and has prompted endless discussion as to why only Goofy is capable of walking upright and speaking.

Pluto the dog's debut came the same year his namesake heavenly body was discovered orbiting the sun 3 billion miles away. The shadowy mass was deemed the ninth planet in the solar system and was named after the Roman god of the underworld.

"I think the whole thing is goofy," Disney said through its rep, Mickey Mouse. "Pluto has never been interested in astronomy before, other than maybe an occasional howl at the moon."

So, although a Caltech astronomer told the Los Angeles Times that "Pluto's out," the canine version will always be top dog at Disney.

That is, he'll be the top dog at Disney who doesn't speak and who walks on four legs. Sorry, Goofy.

So what's the definition of the "holiday season"? Is that Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas?

I want my Disney crocs and I want them NOW! :teeth:

Just popping in to say hi. Any update on June or Karen's grandmother? Thanks for the get well wishes. Sinus infections have hit us both. Feeling better today. Kids have a b'day party in a little while. Have a good afternoon!
:wizard: Hope you get better soon. I hope the kids had fun at the birthday party.

I'm back about 10 pages but Matt wanted to thank you for the good wishes. He did well but I only got two pictures because the battery died. If that wasn't enough, in the confusion of arriving home and unloading the car, we locked ourselves out of both the house AND the car at 9 at night. I had to have a friend drive me to where Paul works to get the keys and then return. We didn't arrive home until 10 - where I promptly cleaned up the mess in the back seat from the ice cream cake that was there. What a night!
OMG Sorry to hear that your night went so badly. I have locked my car keys in the car before, not so fun.

Congratulations again Clare!! I'm glad I was around in "real time" to see you grab it!

And I'm off to get something done. My son brought me some migraine medicine so I'm hoping it takes effect soon. This one's a killer!

Later!
Hope you feel better :wizard: My migraine meds stopped working this week for some reason so I will be calling the Dr. on Monday to figure it out. :confused3
