Good Morning,

I've got a quick question before I head out to work, I'm putting together a Power Point Presentation of our last trip, and I'm trying to find a good song to play at the beginning. I had "When you Wish Upon a Star" but it really is too slow for what I wanted. Any suggestions?

PS - it's gotta be Disney

Chat with you later,

Debbie

Did you find something yet? I'll take a look.... I seriously have a good 15 or so versions of this song on various sources. I'll see what I can find, I'm thinking of a great one! :)

ETA: ok, I was thinking of "a dream is a wish your heart makes". I think I only have about 6 of the "when you wish..." not sure if any of them are fast. I'll check!

ETA (again) :) : If you are looking for just any song, then PM me :) I have made lots of videos/slideshows etc and can maybe offer some suggestions, depending on what you are looking for! I have quite the embarrassingly large collection of disney music, as I pretty much have a goal to have any Disney CD I can find :goodvibes

Before I head out - I forgot to tell Jennifer (tink2020) that i loved your photos!! Especially the picture of Disneyland. I wish he did one for Disney World!

oooh, me too! This one is just a giclee print. Although apparently they aren't planning on doing a wide-release on the print, so I still had to get one of 1955 available or whatever, so Kyle was completely annoyed at how much it cost! I think when I told him it was just a print he thought it would be like $20 :teeth:

So I just prepared him early, saying "Honey, don't fret too much about this. When the WDW one comes out, I want one on canvas! :thumbsup2 "

We had better start saving now! :rotfl:

Good morning DDA!

Hugs and :wizard: to all those who need it.

I won the ebay auction last night, so Marti and Matt, thank you both for your offer. Maybe Matt could be the Mad Hatter too! He has the perfect hat for it!

Have a good day!

Hooray! I can't wait to see the picture of it all together!

I finished the ballet skirt!!!!!!! It has taken way to long and I so do not want to make another ANY time soon. The darn jewels on the tulle under the first layer has caused me SOOOOOOO many problems. Anyway here it is.

We had a ball! Went out to breakfast with Kathrin and then picked Kristin up at her dorm. Took her to Starbucks to get her heart started and then they ganged up on me and took me to a salon to get my hair cut. It is VERY different and I will post pictures after I play with it today and make it look more like me and less like a movie star. :goodvibes

Then we shopped for me again! I ended up with two pair of cropped pants to start out the school year in colors I would never have chosen; one pair is rust and the other pair is olive. I had to go down another size and that just about made my day right there.

Then we went to two restaurants and had tapas and beers and sat outside on the porches or decks. It was a delightful ending to a great weekend!

Thanks for asking, Tammi.

What did you and the kids do?

Elin that sounds like a lovely day and :Pinkbounc for the new haircut and clothes too.

Can't wait to "see" what you look like now.

I'm off for a while. We are having dinner (it smells so good! Sweet potato curry), then we're having brownies and ice cream while we watch our family movie. Tonight's feature is Wallace and Gromet: the curse of the Were Rabbit. I haven't seen it, but Alan promises me that the kids will like it.

I'll be back on when it's over!

How did you like it? I absolutely adore W&G. I had a substitute teacher who was apparently really into the whole underground W&G thing in the US, before the movies were more widely released. I guess my mom found the movies online when I was in middle school and we had a few of them that I completely wore out! I was so happy to see them released here, and then the full-length movie!!! And when I watched it, I was amazed at how funny they were from an adult standpoint as well.... so witty! ::yes::

I hope you guys enjoyed it!

Kristin just turned 20 this month and Kathrin will turn 28 on our WDW trip in October. So, if I remember correctly... you are between them, right?

Elin I love you :goodvibes

I'm turning 30 in November

I think you may have confused ages with Jen (tink2020)

Guess ill have to wait to see when they pick a church..just figured i would ask since you guys were here!
Jen, in today's Catholic church, only one godparent needs to be Catholic. The other can be any denomination, as long as that person is in good standing with their church. The church baptizing the child will require a letter from the parish of the godparent stating he/she is in good standing, meaning is a member of the church and attends regularly.

Deb -- I thought of you this morning as I was reading the headlines in our local paper. A few of the fire departments in our area donated unused equipment to a small Vermont town over the weekend. When I looked it up I discovered it is not that far from you... about an hour. The volunteers from Tinmouth drove the 15 hours over the weekend to come pick up the equipment. Sounds as if they are young... a junior department it says. The young men interviewed were both 15. I thought that was pretty cool.

That is very cool. I hadn't heard about it. There have been a lot of unexplained fires around here lately. They seem to be spread out over several towns. They are talking about a possible arsonist. It is nice to hear that another town will have some fire fighting abilities.

Nope. Consensus from the computer experts is that the hard drive is fried and there is no retrieving the data. The tapes are gone (probably the same place as all my missing socks), so we're back to square one. Alan is getting ready to meet with the client tomorrow to explain and start over.

Oh no!!!!!!!!! I hope it goes as well as possible :guilty:

Everyone's invited, this is how we live
We're all here for each other
happy to give
All we have we share
And all of us we care, so come on...

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our brotherly time
We're happy giving and taking
to the friends we're making
There's nothing we won't do

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our happy to be time
This is our festival
you know and best of all
We're here to share it all

There's a bond between us
nobody can explain
It's a celebration of life
and seeing friends again
I'd be there for you
I know you'd be there for me too...
so come on

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our brotherly time
This is our festival
you know and best of all
We're here to share it all

Remembering loved ones departed
Someone dear to your heart
Finding love, and planning a future
Telling stories and laughing with friends
Precious moments you'll never forget

This has to be the most beautiful
The most peaceful place
I've ever been to
It's nothing like I've ever seen before
When I think of how far I've come
I can't believe it...and yet I see it
In them I see family
I see the way we used to be

Come on...

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our brotherly time
We're happy giving and taking
to the friends we're making
There's nothing we won't do

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our happy to be time
This is our festival
you know and best of all
We're here to share it all

This is one of my very favorite Disneymania songs! Especially by Jump 5 :thumbsup2

I'm caught up here, but behind on housework and laundry and grocery shopping and well you get the picture. I better get my butt in gear and accomplish something today.

Oh, I can't wait to see the new glamorous Elin! It sounds like they really pampered you. We had a boring day grocery shopping and then went to the pool. Only one more week of swimming. :sunny:

PD and prayers to all.

Hey Debbie....I've been thinking about your slideshow. How about the Mission Space theme? I think it's called Destiny. I've seen a slideshow with that as the opening song and thought it was great.

Yeah, I guess they won't need that equipment, since a lot of them are getting fired! (no pun intended)

Off to get some more work done. Do any of you have experience with yard sales? I have SIX boxes of good quality clothes and am seriously thinking of doing a yard sale. My older DD says I should call it my "I am getting skinny" yard sale and give any unused NutriSystem food away as a bonus. (There are a few things I have gotten that I don't care for.) I never go to yard sales and have absolutely no idea how to price clothes! These are mostly sets like sweaters and dress slacks. Suits, blazers, lots of Quacker Factory stuff from QVC. Holiday sweaters and dresses. Any suggestions?
I hate to burst your bubble Elin, but from what I've heard, adult clothing does not go so well at yard sales. Does anyone have any info to the contrary?

It did me too, Jennifer. That is why I thought it was absolutely perfect for what Clare's DH would have done to us had one of us given them a call at 2:00 a.m.!! :rotfl:
