update on grandmother: shes still hang on. able to eat ice chips. this morning she pulled out her central line. shes going hoem tuesday with pt and nurse visits. care givers will take care of her at the house. hospise is being set up. doctors are worried she might asperate at home and get pneumonia. my uncles like that could happen or she could get pneumonia without asperating. doctors said she would probably die of dehidration before starving(if swallowing doesnt get better). the amout of ice chips she is eating wont sustain her and 3 cans of babay a day wont sustan her either. so the next few weeks will let us know.

Make sure you take Ibuprofen as well to help with the swelling.

I am taking percoset

I haven't taken ibuprofen b/c it tends to upset my stomach and I am more concerened about the pain - I am relying on rest, ice and elevation for the swelling!!

aww percocet we give that to our c-section patients.
Too bad the Ibuprofen upsets your stomach as we encourage our c-section patients to take both because their is something about the Ibuprofen that seems to make the percocet or vicodin work better and last longer.
How often our you taking the percocet?
Does Aleeve upset your stomach?

no usually I drink it straight from the fridge and it helps.
i tried some saltines with no luck.

Clare I don't have any ginger tea or biscuits( cookies right)

thats funny. when i was in the hospital one nurse told me to drink flat soda and another nurse said it didnt mater.

whatever is causing this icky feeling needs to go away. I woke up this AM and felt fine but within about 20 minutes the feeling hit. I am supposed to work tomorrow.

It's a 4 mile walk to nearest bus stop.
Then 3 buses total 2 1/2 hour 1 way.
As I still don't have a car & nothing else to do.

Update on June...

Just got off the phone with Buddy, June's son. She is in recovery from surgery right now. They put in a mediport and will start chemo soon. I asked him how she was doing and he said, "Not very good." Please keep those prayers and pixie dust flowing her way.

just got back from olive garden and had a great time! We decided we are going out for a few drinks tonight..its funny, because none of us are really big drinkers, so we figured well just go out and have a couple since jess is 21 now..

Its raining like CRAZY here, perfect day for a npa..so i am going to lay down for a bit...have a great day

Well it's 2:20am and it looks as if we escaped the flooding of the basement. However the tree did just come down. Thankfully the only thing it took out was our fence. So tomorrow we will spend cleaning it up and repairing the fence. I was so scared that it was going to hit the house, specifically Emma's room.

Here's some and for everyone here. I know I haven't been around a whole lot and when I have it seems as if I get overwhelmed trying to keep up. My head is just not working so well right now. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. you guys!!!

I was thinking something along those lines last night too.

The other thing was... do you think the rest of the creative disigns people would mind if we started a thread for all of June's messages and well wishes. I know there have been several on here in the last day or so, which she probably won't find as they're buried under our banter! If we pulled them all out into one thread and pm'd her the link she could read them - or we could email the link to Melanie and she could print them out and take them to June.
