We had a little what we call "weather" today.... :umbrella: :umbrella:

I left work late and as I pulled the handle to get into my car, the sky opened up. :umbrella: :umbrella: I left my mirror tucked in. I had opened the window last time to flip it and gotten soaked. Lesson learned. I just used my rear view. There weren't many cars on the road. I turned the corner and heard this crack!!! and part of a tree fell right on top of my car. :earseek:

I love Miss Blueberry.   She saved my life again. The limb just bounced off the top and onto the road and I rolled right over it. It happened so quick I didn't have time to react at all, didn't have a heart attack or p@@p my pants. Nothing. I just pulled over and couldn't believe I was alive....

One of my staff's daughter led the news tonight. A tree fell on her house. She had just walked in when BOOM. It is resting on her roof. Sheared off her shutters and the framing over her door. Didn't penetrate her roof though. We are both blessed.

I'm calling it a night.... :goodvibes

OMG OMG OMG
How are you doing now?
How is Miss Blueberry?
I will call you later, taking my sister to the DR this morning

Well, no luck with Ohana's for the second. I even checked the Concourse Steakhouse but the first availability for that one is 6:50...not enough time to make it to the 7:45pm departure. I guess we are gonna stick with the Rose and Crown!

They had to do it the old fashioned way. He has mesh in his stomach from 2 hernia operations so that prevented them from doing it laparoscopic. He's in a lot of pain, but his gallbladder was inflamed and blocked so the surgery had to be done. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. He should be able to go home on Friday.

I'm glad that he is doing well and will be home soon!

When I saw the DC picture of you all round the table I didn't recognise everyone - I worked out who Steffy was based on the fact that she was wearing the same shirt as Terry :rotfl:
And they look exactly alike. Twins, you know!

There is a thread on the teen board asking if anyone has celebrity connections - it is making me :lmao: :lmao: - in my examples - they named a celeb but I can;t remember who it was!

honest to goodness someone answered:

I saw so and so in concert!

and another

my brother goes to the college that some famous baseball player went to

and my personal favorite

my mom's best friend's sister is a personal trainer and works w/ Mary Kate and Ashley's ex-nanny. cause they obviously don't need a nanny anymore.

:rotfl:

So did you tell them that you knew someone who met the Osmonds, dated Jamin, and had a famous father?

Does anyone have a phone # for Paula. We didn't hear from her yesterday and I was just concerned about their family.

Lynn

I'm heading to work now. I will check in with everyone later. :thumbsup2

With all of this talk about everyone getting together in January, you are making me want to go too. But I know there is no way I can do it. It sounds like so much fun.

For all the pirate kids out there...

New Pirate Experience at Caribbean Beach Resort
There is now a new pirate-themed water adventure at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Children ages 4-10 can now take part in "Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure," which takes young adventurers on a boat to sail the ports of the Caribbean. Children will dress up in pirate bandannas and listen to the story of Old Port Royale and the pirates that used to sail the waters. Throughout the adventure, children will find props and signs leading to treasure. After the treasure chest has been found, everyone sails off to Fort Cay for lunch- peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables, gummy bears, goldfish treats, and apple juice box. When they return to Old Port Royale, they will unlock the treasure chest and everyone will get their share of the loot!! This pirate cruise runs Tuesdays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and costs $28.17 per child plus tax.
