Mail it to Theresa. She is getting Brooksie this weekend. I am glad that you had something left behind, as we can not find his Pj shorts. I know they are here but I haven't come across them yet.

The blanket matches those pj shorts! We looked EVERYWHERE! I knew they were here somewhere... kids got out their sleeping bags today to play campout, and it was in Rees' bag from when they played with them with Brooksie.

Can you PM me Theresa's name and address?

Kristine, that is great..I think you said he was at 250 yesterday??? Wow, great results!!!

Oh gee... :goodvibes

I'm way back I don't know how many pages..... Between my computer crapping out :badpc: :badpc: and just plain busy at work and home, I haven't had much time to play.... :surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

And I'm super tired tonight. So I'll type to you all later..... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I have to share this with all of you. I'm such a proud mom today!

Christopher had his final regular swim meet of the season this morning. He has been hoping to be picked for the relay team for weeks. He's a good swimmer for his age, but about a month ago he started coming up for breaths about every other stroke and it was slowing him down a bit. We've been working on it and I just told him to do his best at practice and maybe he would be picked.

When we got there this morning he was only signed up for the individual freestlye and not the relay. I was disappointed for him, but I didn't say anything. In a few minutes one of the Jr. Coaches had him by the hand and said mom he's going to do the relay.

When it was his turn to swim he flew to the other side of the pool! We were all standing there with our jaws on the floor. I've never seen him swim that fast and he didn't do the breaths every other stroke. His relay team took second place behind the other relay team from our club :cheer2:

When it was time for his individual freestyle he again flew down the pool and won a blue ribbon!!!!!!! He was swimming against good swimmers so I was really proud of him. It was a close race!

After the meet he went to his coach and thanked her for letting him be on the relay team. She told him she didn't "let" him, that he had improved so much that he earned a spot on the team! He was so proud and I was so proud for him!! She doesn't know how much she boosted his self esteem and confidence by saying that!

On a side note, and pretty funny: Christopher has blue (1st), red (2nd) and yellow (4th) ribbons. There are 3 other color ribbons that he doesn't have, and he wants one of every color. The lady handing out the ribbons for the relay thought his team took 3rd so she handed him a white ribbon. When she realized her mistake and gave him a red ribbon, he didn't want to trade :rotfl: . Isn't it great that at that age it's still not all about winning?

That's great Dawn. WTG Christopher :thumbsup2 :cool1: Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. :fish:

I have to go pack!!

I think the cruise will have to be 2008 -

next spring is too soon - the fall is the DL meet -

which means the spring of 2008 -

Chuck saw the specialist again today. The news wasn't exactly what we were hoping for. Basically, he said it's now a waiting game. It still could be rheumatoid arthritis. How will we know? If the pain comes back! He is to start cutting back 1/2 tablet a day each week of the prednisone (he takes 4-5mg tablets a day). If he needs it and it helps, he can take the celebrex. His shoulders have been bothering him still quite a bit so the doctor gave him shots in both of cortisone? or whatever it is the athletes get. The doctor did take x-rays of his shoulders since he didn't last time. He is also repeating the lyme test that was done up here just to make sure that the test wasn't bad. So, we wait! Have I told you guys that I'm not a very patient person??!!
Sorry the the DR wasn't able to give you more conclusive information. Here's some more :wizard for the both of you.

Ok, I'm supposed to be working on putting our budget together. While we were in Green Bay today for Chuck's specialist appointment (that is a thread for later), we stopped to look at travel trailers. We have been talking about upgrading our pop-up to a regular travel trailer since Chuck has been having his joint issues. We looked online last night at some Jayco ones and picked one that we liked. We stopped at a big dealership in Green Bay and didn't really like them as well as the Jayco we saw online. We stopped at our local Jayco dealer in Iron Mountain when we got home. They have the exact one that we were thinking about and it has all the bells and whistles. It is a 2006 model so is clearanced price (I never quite understand that but I guess they have to make room for the 2007's which will be out in the next month or so). It is reduced by $7000. They think that our pop-up is probably worth $3000. We can get financing and the interest is tax deductible because it has a bathroom, bedroom & kitchen.

Here it is. We would get the 26' version. That is all we need. It has two bunk beds in the back for the girls if they come (or our grandbabies in 5-10 years  if we are so lucky).

Here is the floor plan.

Now, I have to get off the DDA and put together the info to show Chuck that we can afford this. I know that it will cut into my Disney trips, but my new plan is to travel around the country and meet my DDA friends!!!! Chuck says that he would do that with me in this (& after we get a new vehicle to pull it because our suburban isn't reliable). We pay off both our vehicles within the year so next summer we could afford another vehicle payment!!!! So I could be knocking on DDA doors as early as next summer!!! :woohoo:

The camper looks great. Jayco is a very good quality Travel Trailer. I'm sure that you will love having a TT over a pop up, I know that we do. My brother is buying a new 5th wheel and he is buying it from a large dealer in MI. They are delivering it to VT. He is saving over $4000 buying it there compared to buying the same one around here :confused3 I don't know the dealership name, but they sold something like 800 trailer to the government for use after Hurricane Katrina. I think he is buying a Cougar (brandname). Have you looked into that brand. They like the floor plans better and they said they are of similar quality to Jayco. We bought ours in 2003 and it was a brand new 2001 model that was still on the lot as it had been brought to home shows. We saved a bunch because it was a double holdover. For us a TT is well worth the money. We even tow it to Fort Wilderness which is of course our all time favorite campground. Maybe we could plan a DDA FW camping trip? We will be there end of June/beginning of July 2008.

I stabbed Bill today and it was at 132...amazing what 1 day of pills can do!
I wonder what people must think if they come in here and see something like this with no idea what it is about. :confused3 or :rotfl:

Glad that the medicine is working so well!!

Sorry to hear this Vicki. :grouphug: for you :wizard: that Chuck feels better soon.

Night all! I'm off to bed. Long day tomorrow. It is my babies 18th birthday tomorrow! Katrina and I want to make it special for her so Katrina is going to come home and take her someplace while I decorate. Becky wants to come and help pick out the cake. She has already gotten her present from Chuck & I - her ipod before she left for Japan. I'll make a thread for her in the morning since she has her own disboards login (UP_Tink). Talk to you all tomorrow.

So we finally made out countdown to Disneyworld chart. I saw this somewhere on the DIS so no credit to me..anyway we went to Home Depot & got the mickey head paint chips. The kids put them on the front door (inside) & numbered each one. Each day one of the kids gets to take 1 mickey head off to count down the days. They were so excited with this...even my cool 10 year old.
That sounds like a great idea. How nice that the cool 10 year old likes it too!

I'd love to camp at FW again. We camped there when I was a kid and I loved it. I'll put that in the back of my head for June/beginning of July 2008.
