The best part is that you are kind to newcomers and make them feel a part of the group.

It's like that episode of Star Trek with the Borg: stick around here long enough and you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile!

But in a good way! :teeth:

I forgot to tell you guys

I spoke with the doctor today - she said that Nick actually does have a small hole in his heart - between the left and right ventricles - but that 25% of adults have this problem and that it will never be a problem for him

I asked if he could play sports - ride roller coasters etc and she said absolutely - we even talked about the undetected heart conditions like that boy on RNR and she told me I never have to worry about that with Nick!!!!

I asked what caused the irregular EKG and she said the test is very picky about the leads and they must not have gotten good placement of the leads either time.

We talked about how he seems much better since he was on the antibiotic a few weeks ago and she feels that he must have had a sinus infection that wasn't showing up

so as of now - my sweet little boy has a clean bill of health and is acting like it!!!!!! It has been a long time since I haven't been really worried about him!!!!!!!

Kate, that is such good news

Glynis - congrats to you, too. Alan thinks you're going to do WHAT in two days? :lmao: :lmao:

That's nothing! Originally it was even worse. Because Alan is a member of the press, he can get one day park hopper passes for any Disney location in the world. Nice perk, huh? So, Alan figured he'd get us those passes and we'd park hop to all the parks in one day!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it? I finally got him convinced that there was NO WAY that we could have any kind of fun doing that! We will still get the passes and use them for either Epcot or MK, and then we'll buy a one day ticket for the other park.

Alan will also get us passes to Sea World and USF if we decide we want to go there as well. We'll see. I think once he gets there and sees how HUGE WDW is, he'll be grateful to all of you for the help I'm going to get here!

Kate - all of that is such great news!!!!! I'm so glad that this ordeal is over for you!

By the way, did your migraine ever progress, or did you get it nipped in the bud?

go on snagAjob.com and they have listings for people to give out samples in stores - they pay $70 for 5 hours

Another thing is helping to sign people in for seminars. I did that for a temp agency and it is a lot of fun. Depends on who you work for as to what you get paid. You pass out booklets and just make sure the room is ready. I had an IN at one hotel. they fed me lunch for free so I could stay by the room and keep track of things.

Glynis, want John to talk to Alan?
After our very 1st trip John said we could go again but stay less days as he just didn't think there was all that much to see and do. Well after coming home and joining the DIS, he decided that we would go again and stay even longer than the first time. :teeth:

We just booked a 7 night Double Dip (2 stops at Castaway Cay) Western cruise for Thanksgiving next year! Yippee!

I am so glad you are splurging on the Disney Cruise......I am so jealous. I keep saying out next cruise will be on Disney. I just need to go ahead and plan it for 1+yr out and start paying for it.

Sure looks interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking of planning a Universal/Sea World/Discovery Cove trip...
I've been to all three if you have any questions! Discovery Cove is awesome! (It was just a "work visit" so we just toured a park, but there are tons of cool things to do there.)

I might have to go to the library to see if the site will work for me there...I can't visit the site from work, we have this program called Websense that blocks us from senseless sites...Apparently HHN's site is considered "Cult Practices". (Don't ask. We can't even view Vegas Hotels because they are linked to gambling!?) HHN's is Bob's choice. And I have to go because it was the only way to get him to go to Disney for so long.
