The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 10

Especially with it being DL. I have never been there and I wouldn't know where to start. Help....I can't catch my breath.....my heart is palpating.....sweaty palms......

This isn't even for real and I am in a panic!!!!!

Maybe I'm not a true addict because they could pull up to my house right now with a limo and wisk me away in my pjs. Hey if they are going to cater to my every need while I'm away who am I to complain. 12 hours might just be torture though, enough time to try to pack and worry about what I might forget, any research I could collect on dial up Ok I guess I am addicted after all.

I just went to check out the Pal Mickey thread that you were all teasing me about yesterday. Terry posted about her love of Mickey. Clare also posted a link to our Pal Mickey DDA adventure thread. I wonder how long it will be before the men in white coats come to take Terry & I away!!! They're coming to take me away, ha ha, they're coming to take me away!!!

Here's a thread on Pal Mickey that I like better. People much more in line with my way of thinking. There is actually a guy on there that posted about his wife buying a second one and she is going to make him clothes!!!! See, I'm not alone!!!

Ok. Um... we are in 2006 so it would be 07/07/06 would it not? I don't think she'll hold him in for another year I was confused when she posted that last night.

Actually, I am soooooooooo proud of him!!!!!! He will be going into college with 50 credit hours, quite an accomplishment I think.

Steffy and I were driving last Sunday and saw a Doll store and stopped in. it was pure luck. I could not remember the link or I would have posted it Let me know if you want a fanny pack. They had lots.

I am an ET baby as I was born on the exact day that ET came out in theatres.

I really think Dr. Phil should do a show about us!!!

I think he should start with a notice to us like I said before - in 12 hours a car will pick you up to bring you to Disneyland - videotape us all for the next 12 hours - which will include a frenzy on our computers - frantic packing and trying to print any research we can - maybe a trip to Wal-Mart for last minute items and a DL guide

Then videotape us at DL followed up with a session in our studio -

I think the whole thing would be HILARIOUS - the frenzy of us getting ready - being at DL without any preparation and then all of us together in his studio -

and I think what he would see is that we are an amazing group of women who have become great friends that would have a great time together!!!!!!

and then the whole world would want to join the DDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of this, my kids got the POTC bandanas from McDs today. They are cute! Alyssa calls herself a pirate wench now.

I don't think I would have a problem with it. I have been there many times on a whim, then again I only lived 45 minutes from there and went whenever I feeled like it. I have walked into restaurants without ADR's and eaten wheerever I have wanted without problems. I know I might be the odd one but I wouldn't mind as I feel I have been there enough that I can survive without much planning.

All I have planned for my August trip is hotel, rental car, plane tickets, ADR's, I have park tickets and an idea of what park I might do on certain days and things I would like to do. I know some of you have just done this

The thing is I know patterns and things because I have experienced it, read books and other things. It's not like I am walking in there without any Disney knowledge. When I went on my first DCL cruise I read everything I could remebered the tips and things I wanted to use and did them. I had no planning files, folders, etc. I impressed myself with everything I remembered.

I guess I can just fly by the seat of my pants and be happy. I was telling Terry and Steffy yesterday that I have been known to do road trips with no planning deciding after midnight I am leaving at 6am the same day on a road trip from Orlando to Atlanta, details were worked out in the car on the way.

Or the time my friend and I decided we were leaving ASAP to see suprise my friend in St. Pete who was pregnant because she was having a rough day. We ended up breaking down in the middle of I-4 and sat there for four hours as we waited for a tow truck. Where was Mater when I needed him. The car was completly dead and ending up going to a junk lot. We ended up having to call the friend to pick us up at midnight at the garage. I just make the best of the situation, including peeing in the middle of 6 lanes of traffic on I-4 as we waited for the tow truck. Even if I would have ran across the traffic lanes I had a fence on one side and lots of trees on the other in a ditch. Perhaps if I had kids my attitude would be a little different but I don't know.

Ok, besides Disney, I'm becoming more like this as I get older. The problem is that Chuck isn't ready for my spur of the moment whims. I was always a planner when I was younger. Now, I'm thinking I just want to take a couple of days off next week and drive somewhere.

Minnie told me that she wasn't always having to get permission from Mickey to drive his car or have to ride behind him. She wanted her own!

All I can do is sit here and shake my head. Where are you Dr. Phil? What will they drive off on there honeymoon in?
