Happy 3000 for me!!!!!!!

Ok, so you all laughed at the last couple of pictures, let's see what you think about my sanity when you see this one!!!!!!
Minnie told me that she wasn't always having to get permission from Mickey to drive his car or have to ride behind him. She wanted her own!

Ooh, my second obsession - Harry Potter. I love Harry Potter. I want to hear about the party when you get back!!!

We are back. The kids made wands out of rolled up newspaper and could either put a feather from a pheonix or a unicorn hair inside the wand. They got to paint those. They also made scorcerers hats and decorated those with markers. After that they went outside and had a golden snitch relay race. They had to put the golden snitch (a gold painted foam ball with 2 white feathers as wings) on a spoon and they raced around a chair and back to the start to pass it onto the next person. Once back inside they made a potion. They scooped vanilla ice cream into a plastic cup then each were given a dixie cup of rootbeer. They all added the rootbeer to the ice cream at one and watched the chemical reaction. The floats were yummy. Then onto the feast. They were served fried chicken or chicken fingers and watermelon. They also had a jelly bean contest. How many bertie's everyflavored beans were in the jar. My niece guess closest so she won the jar of jelly beans. It started at 4:30. We left at 6:30 and they hadn't even started watching the movie yet. We came home and watched it as I knew that Colby wouldn't sit through it after already being there for 2 hours. I didn't bring my camera so I don't have pictures. I was fun and would make for a cute birthday theme.

Maybe we could set him up with someone from the DIS for you!!

Not someone in the DDA - that would be weird - but someone on the DIS!!

Heidi -

that is awesome news about your mom!!!! I had a drink at dinner - so I will count that for her - an ameretto sour!! Did I spell that right?!?!?

Yummy. That is one of my favorite drinks and since it doesn't have a high alcohol content I can drink a few without making an a$$ of myself :rotfl: :rotfl:

Jonathan just informed me that he has 43 more days until he leaves for college! I can't believe it.....an end of an era. I feel old....

Goodness no!!!!

He might just commit us all!!! But we could all hang out together and as long as part of our therapy includes going to Disney world WITHOUT any planning :faint: that would be okay!!

Seriously - could you all imagine if someone said to you today - we are leaving at 10:00 tomorrow morning for WDW - a limo will pick you up outside your home - how seriously panicked would you spend the next 12 hours?!?!!?!?
I don't think I would have a problem with it. :rotfl2: :lmao: I have been there many times on a whim, then again I only lived 45 minutes from there and went whenever I feeled like it. I have walked into restaurants without ADR's and eaten wheerever I have wanted without problems. I know I might be the odd one but I wouldn't mind as I feel I have been there enough that I can survive without much planning.

All I have planned for my August trip is hotel, rental car, plane tickets, ADR's, I have park tickets and an idea of what park I might do on certain days and things I would like to do. I know some of you have just done this :faint:

The thing is I know patterns and things because I have experienced it, read books and other things. It's not like I am walking in there without any Disney knowledge. When I went on my first DCL cruise I read everything I could remebered the tips and things I wanted to use and did them. I had no planning files, folders, etc. I impressed myself with everything I remembered.

I guess I can just fly by the seat of my pants and be happy. I was telling Terry and Steffy yesterday that I have been known to do road trips with no planning deciding after midnight I am leaving at 6am the same day on a road trip from Orlando to Atlanta, details were worked out in the car on the way.

Or the time my friend and I decided we were leaving ASAP to see suprise my friend in St. Pete who was pregnant because she was having a rough day. We ended up breaking down in the middle of I-4 and sat there for four hours as we waited for a tow truck. Where was Mater when I needed him. :confused3 The car was completly dead and ending up going to a junk lot. We ended up having to call the friend to pick us up at midnight at the garage. I just make the best of the situation, including peeing in the middle of 6 lanes of traffic on I-4 as we waited for the tow truck. Even if I would have ran across the traffic lanes I had a fence on one side and lots of trees on the other in a ditch. Perhaps if I had kids my attitude would be a little different but I don't know. :confused3

You can't feel old - that would make me ancient! My GRANDDAUGHTER is a college student, and my grandson is going to be 21 in October!!

Well, being a true Gemini, I could probably just throw clothes in the suitcase, hop in the limo and go. It might be fun to try it "the other way" for a change! I'd never do it without that 12 hour incentive, though, because I am addicted to the planning! There, I've said it - that's the first step to getting well, isn't it? But what if I don't WANT to get well? :lmao:
I would have no problem doing that. Maybe its a Gemini thing :confused3 I am the opposite though I don't plan all the details as I don't want to be disappointed if I miss something I plan. :thumbsup2

Now that's an idea!!!!!!! He does like Disney...hmmmmm....the possibilities!!
