I'd still check and see if there are other flights that might have a 50 minute connection instead of only half hour. Luggage doesn't matter since you'll be bringing stuff for your first day anyways in your carry on (or at least you should!) Or at least see when the next flight from Charlotte leaves in case you miss the connecting flight so you'll know how much time you'll be waiting if you do miss the flight. Officially, anything with a 1/2 hour is considered a legal connection (try that in LGA!) and airlines are allowed to sell them. If I know I have a short connection, I make sure I'm in the front of the plane somehow. (With my Airtran flight we are in row 11, which is right behind the bulkhead...I think we'll make the 33 minute connection...I'll worry about my luggage later.)
Thanks, Chanon! I would never, never, never book a flight with such a short connection. I will take a look at flights a little later and see what I can do. I've been looking at maps of the Charlotte airport on-line, but I can't really get a feel for the size. Anyone know what CLT is like for making a USAir connection? As for seating, it doesn't show our seat numbers any more probably because of the change in planes/flights. I am hoping that we have at least two together so that Miles doesn't have to be on his own. Could I get any of that information by calling the airline? I was so happy to have made non-stop flights, but the best laid plans...

They do grow up so fast though.
) The NH State Trooper that she worked with and acknowlegdes in the book was a friend of mine that I graduated high school with (James Steinmetz). The town that she lives in is Hanover, NH (she changed the name for the book) Dartmouth College is in Hanover and I used to work there. Everytime a new place is mentioned I can actually see the real place rather than creating one in my mind. It is very strange.
How is your summer going? Are you enjoying the extra time with Matthew since he is off?
that the news is good! You'll be in all our thoughts until we hear from you.
