Beth - I'd be more worried about you guys making the flight than your luggage! I'd still check and see if there are other flights that might have a 50 minute connection instead of only half hour. Luggage doesn't matter since you'll be bringing stuff for your first day anyways in your carry on (or at least you should!) Or at least see when the next flight from Charlotte leaves in case you miss the connecting flight so you'll know how much time you'll be waiting if you do miss the flight. Officially, anything with a 1/2 hour is considered a legal connection (try that in LGA!) and airlines are allowed to sell them. If I know I have a short connection, I make sure I'm in the front of the plane somehow. (With my Airtran flight we are in row 11, which is right behind the bulkhead...I think we'll make the 33 minute connection...I'll worry about my luggage later.)

Thanks, Chanon! I would never, never, never book a flight with such a short connection. I will take a look at flights a little later and see what I can do. I've been looking at maps of the Charlotte airport on-line, but I can't really get a feel for the size. Anyone know what CLT is like for making a USAir connection? As for seating, it doesn't show our seat numbers any more probably because of the change in planes/flights. I am hoping that we have at least two together so that Miles doesn't have to be on his own. Could I get any of that information by calling the airline? I was so happy to have made non-stop flights, but the best laid plans...

Nope still don't get the fascination!! :confused3

For me it's not the looks (I don't get that either) but I love Johnny Depp's acting in anything he does. Somehow, he makes the characters believable to me.

Oh I forgot, My baby finally slept in her big girl bed last night! We had tried it a few months ago and it was horrible. So we went back to the crib. But while on vacation starting the climbing out again. Eric set the bed up yesterday and she napped in it and went to bed in it. She was actually very excited about it!

Woohoo!!!! Time to party! party: They do grow up so fast though.

I read that one on our camping trip, and loved it! It is very fast paced and well written! I hope you enjoy it.

For those that want book recommendations, I promise they are coming. I'm just trying to catch up first. They'll be up tonight!

RE: Jodi Picoult, Vanishing Acts.

I think it may take me a bit longer to read it than most. I read the first chapter last night and was amazed that she was talking about specific areas around me. I've fished off the Orford/Fairlee Bridge, Chris and I have had a date in the Baker Library Bell Tower (18 years ago ;) ) The NH State Trooper that she worked with and acknowlegdes in the book was a friend of mine that I graduated high school with (James Steinmetz). The town that she lives in is Hanover, NH (she changed the name for the book) Dartmouth College is in Hanover and I used to work there. Everytime a new place is mentioned I can actually see the real place rather than creating one in my mind. It is very strange.

YUMMY!!!!
Funny Theresa you are posting right up my ally! LOVE IT!!!

You all know that Ben and Jerry's makes their ice cream in Vermont!!! You should come and visit the factories some time. The factory in Waterbury offers tours daily. I've been several times as I have lots of family that lives within spitting distance of there. I've also been to the one in burlington, but they only make on flavor at a time there. Chris worked for a local B&J ice cream shop when he was in high school. You have no idea how much ice cream I consumed then. You can of course imagine how much he ate with the screen name Kitchensinkguy. He has definately earned that name :goodvibes

Hello Marti, Great to see you. I've been expecting Paul to swoop in each time we have a milestone, but he only did it that once :sad2: How is your summer going? Are you enjoying the extra time with Matthew since he is off?

Beth -

I believe if the airline switches your flight - you can call them and tell them you are not comfortable with the new itinerary and they HAVE to switch you to the flights of your choice -

I would decide if there are other flights you would rather take and then call them and request it - telling them that you are not comfortable with such a short connection time -

***OFFICIAL NOTICE***

The entire Brooks household including 2 dogs and 1 cat (what am I thinking?)
will be on a camping trip from Friday,July 14th until Sunday, July 30th. I will not have internet access and will not be able to read, post or PM for 16 days. Consider this my official notification. I wouldn't want the DDA vanishing persons patrol to have to hunt me down ;)

Thankfully my brother lives next door so he will be taking care of the plants, lawn, house etc.

As you can all imagine I have lots to get done this week so I'd better get to it. I'm working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights this week  too.

I should also be working and not checking this site! I have so much to do before we leave on Saturday for camp. I'm going to shut down my laptop so that I'm not tempted to keep checking. Talk to you all later tonight!
