Do any of you have a recipe for ham, green bean and potato soup?

No, but it sounds wonderful! Share if you get a recipe, ok?

So seriously folks, who is over the edge more? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Neither of you is actually over the edge you are both just close enough to the edge, to keep each of you from going over the edge.

Thanks

I am okay RIGHT NOW! That mood may change as the night progresses

Steve leaves town on Tuesday so he has to be at work tomorrow - so I am going to be alone at the hospital (my mom is out of town and MIL will have Julia)

So that is making me a little bit nervous -

I just REALLY hope that I have been worrying about nothing for the past 3 weeks!!

Well, all you can do is take it minute by minute. This is a scary thing, and you have to allow yourself to feel whatever it is you are feeling at any given time. There is no right or wrong way to handle a situation like this.

I hope you know that if I could, I would be there with you to hold your hand through this. Know that I am doing it in spirit. I wish that Utah were closer to you! I'd be there in a heartbeat!

Thanks, Becky! I had planned on doing that...I guess things are just starting to worry me about this trip.

Beth

So you mean I should be worrying about my trip, :confused3 :teeth: as I leave the day after you I guess I perhaps should be. I better go add this to my list of things to do. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I'm heading to bed too. We are going to the 10AM free showing of Dreamer tomorrow, and then after lunch Alyssa has her first ballet class. She is so excited!! Good night.

Kate - prayers and :grouphug: and :wizard:

Call me if you need to.

I think I'm off to bed too. I got a Jodi Picoult book, Vanishing Acts, that I want to start. I haven't read any of her books, but have heard great things about her. She lives in a town that is about 15 miles from here. My SIL says that she talks about a lot of landmarks that I will recognize. Keep it down to a dull roar unless you're helping Kate keep her mind occupied then by all means chat away.

Deb

I read that one on our camping trip, and loved it! It is very fast paced and well written! I hope you enjoy it.

For those that want book recommendations, I promise they are coming. I'm just trying to catch up first. They'll be up tonight!

Theresa, I hope you have a great birthday party! Did you get your id issue squared away. I had a dream Friday night that I had to come pick you up in Cleveland!

The party was fun except a couple of conversations....one about burial plots and one skunks, there was another one but I can't remember what it was about!!

I haven't found my id, but I do think I've got it figured out correctly. It's a nonstop flight so I hope there is a restaurant named Cleveland in the area or I may just cry. :teeth:
When do you think a good time for us to get together would be? I am not a huge planner but it might be a good idea to figure out when we could meet.

Ok, here are some book recommendations from my book club. Enjoy!

Bel Canto by Ann Patchett
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand
Blessings by Anna Quindlen
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde
Peace Like a River by Leif Enger
Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner
Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik
The Color of Water by James McBride
Wild Swans: 3 Daughters of China by Jung Chang
The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (this is a young adult book)

If you want any more information on any of these books feel free to ask. These are my favorite books from our club. We've read many more, but these I felt were the best!

that's a perfect plan -

let's keep kate distracted by giving her a panic attack!!! :lmao:

Dr. McDreamy is on now - so that is working pretty well!!!

I loved the movie Can't Buy me Love!

That would work for me too! I love him!! I saw a little bit of the show for the first time the other night and was thinking I may just have to start watching. He hardly seems to have aged!

I read The Secret Life of Bees a couple of years ago at the recommendation of my friend who lives in Gaylord. I enjoyed it. I'll have to check out these others that you recommended. Thanks for the recommendations.

Maybe they're trying to surprise you, and you keep asking questions!!!

Nope we spent the early part of the afternoon picking up supplies...but I had a grand time anyway!!

The show is SOOO good!!

I started watching the season finale this year - I have since rented the first season on DVD (it was only 9 episodes)

and am catching what I can in reruns!!

Tia -- it sounds like you have a wonderful plan that will help several of your family members even more than it helps you. Sounds like a win-win for everyone. I hope Phil is able to find a fulfilling job as soon as he gets there.

My local news just had a promo that tomorrow night they are doing a segment on how to get the most for your money at Disney

I wonder if she is a DISer - if not - then I would say it is not a very accurate news report!! ;)

Nicky and I went for a drive yesterday to the Lower Peninsula for a graduation party. He wanted to get pictures of him with the Mackinac Bridge. The Mackinac Bridge joins Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula. Before the bridge was built, you had to take a boat across. I understand on the week-ends the line was hours long!

Nicky was so impressed, he clicked this picture as we were crossing for a closer look at the columns.

Nicky has made me slow down and enjoy things more. Usually on my trips, I just cruise through as fast as I can. I haven't stopped at the first viewing area for 20+ years and had never been to the second.

That bridge reminds me a lot of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

Theresa,
How's your head doing today?

I've driven that - scared the crap out of me!!!

I was riding with a friend and all of sudden he says to me -

"OMG - you are afraid of bridges"

I asked how he knew - he told me that I quit talking and seemed to be in a trance and that he had never seen knuckles that white before!!

That was my first big bridge and when I really realized the extent of my fear!
