What am I going to do with you!!!

You've gone and given Vicki another idea to shop for!!!

So fess up darling: what did the poor innocent STUFFIES make you buy them?

(my thought is she's bought them a "double" bed for AFTER the wedding)
I can just hold you Mater hostage, therefore preventing you from doing anything to me. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Any news on whether or not you can go to DC??

Although I don't really know that they need a house as they will eventually just take over Barbie World and her office and her kitchen and her living room and eventually the whole house. So in actuality they already have a nice big house :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: it will just be a matter of how long it is before they take it over.

What I'm :lmao: :rotfl: is how tame your response was on the other thread!

But then again, you wouldn't want to send her screaming for the hills when she hears about the clothing, the accessories, the wedding, the in-laws... :thumbsup2

You don't know how many times I rewrote that. I started to write about the travelin' pals and the clothes but decided I have a link in my thread and Kate's wonderful siggie she created for me. If she is observant, she'll click the link and find out about my zaniness!

Hurry - don't let this moment pass! (I'm proof positive that if you can convince them with the logic/numbers, they will CAVE, and give you Disney vacations for the rest of your life! :cloud9: )

I love that expression, too - Holy Dole Whip Mickey! :rotfl2:

Oh I think I got him Dole WHipped!!!

I will get to the info folder tomorrow and have things ready for our meeting with our friends this weekend.

well addicts... my sinuses are getting to me and I think drugs are calling me to fix it.

Off to dream of DVC :cloud9:
chat with youin the morning

I'm up way past my bedtime, but I had to catch up, and also I have to tell you all about my annual evaluation. I had the evaluation last Friday morning, and then went away for the weekend, so I didn't think about posting until tonight. I got a raise, I got my THREE WEEKS vacation, and I got a BONUS. I guess the bonus enabled me to go a little bananas with the Pal Mickey wardrobe tonight! Melanie went with me, and she was laughing about it the whole evening (I think WITH me, not AT me). The co-worker's mom says we are all nuts (me, Danielle, and the Mom), but we are having a lot of fun. Danielle said that this is going to be the best Disney trip they've ever had because of me (and that's because of all of you). They wouldn't have even had free dining if I hadn't let them know about it and then pushed them to try and get it, and I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the Disboard. The Mom has never even heard of Pal Mickey, and now she's excited because mine is coming to visit and is going with them to the world. I did a t-shirt desgn for them for MNSSHP and they just love it - see all of this is spreading because fo the Dis and especially the DDA. Isn't it great how we spread the pixie dust?

That story makes my day! First off, congrats on the raise, three weeks vacation and bonus!!! That is awesome!!!!

Second, I love that we are all spreading the pixie dust in some way to others. WTG June!!!! I  the DDA and DISboards.

Well I'm off to bed too. No new purchases from eBay though I did "window" shop. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Have you used your high zoom much yet? How do the pics turn out. The z650 and z740 are so much more in my budget than the Sony and Canon versions, but the people on the photography board scream at any mention of the Kodak's and their lack of image stabalization.

A friend of mine stuck his nose up about my Kodak... :snooty: :snooty: :snooty:

Well, he has to replace his Nikon (cost twice what I paid)and my Kodak is taking great pictures all day long.... :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :dance3: :dance3:

My pictures are clearer than my DD's Canon. She has to choose which pictures she wants to blow up. I could use 8x10 as my default picture size and be fine..... :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Congrats, June!!! Pal Mickey is also loving your bonus!!! :teeth:

Wow! Thanks, Kate!! The 10x zoom looks really good and that is mostly what I would use. I don't tend to use the optical zoom at all as it seem shakier and the quality isn't as good. Maybe I'll just go with the Kodak after all. I am not a serious photographer either. Though I would like to improve my skills, I figure that the Kodak is such a step up from my current one that it can't be all bad. Thanks for the example! That really does help.

One of the ones you mentioned... the "picture frame" model... has a fireworks setting that put all of the cameras downtown to shame. Our marketing person was supposed to get some good fireworks shots... well the tiny lightweight Kodak's fireworks pictures blew them away...... the pictures rivaled the ones that were printed in the newspaper... :cheer2: :cheer2: I really don't think you will be disappointed... and the price point right now is great!! :cheer2: :dance3:

I thought I would show a couple of my fireworks pic's off (the ones I could get loaded last night) since Stephanie mentioned the fireworks.

It's not the camera it is the person taking the pictures that can make or break the image. I know people who couldn't take a deccent picture on any camera and others who can create an awesome shot on a disposable camera. It is all in the composition, lighting and other things.

If it works for you so be it. Get what you can afford and what you like. If it isn't what someone else thinks is great than that is too bad for them because you can spend the money you saved on something else you really want. :thumbsup2

Today was a whirlwind day around here. I started the morning by turning strings of Christmas lights into Hawaiian Lei lights. My niece helped me. We pulled apart silk flowers and put a petal over each bulb. They came out really cool. We also used some flowers to decorate Tiki Torches. :confused3 Why would we do this you ask. The answer is two fold. One of the themed weekends during our upcoming camping trip is a luau weekend. I plan to decorate our site in a hawaiian theme and the lights are perfect. I have also decided to throw the kids family birthday party in August this year as everyone gets so busy once school starts and the weather up here gets too cold to do much outside. So I think I'm going to throw a luau and Celebrate all 3 kids birthdays in August instead of Sept, Oct and Nov. They will each have a friend party on their birthdays so they don't mind. I can use the lights and other decorations to decorate our yard. We will actually be able to play games outside and it will be much nicer than craming 40 people in our house. So any suggestions for Hawaiian themed parties. Games or Decorations or Food?

After our crafty start to the morning we started putting things in the camper that we will be needing for our trip. The kinds of things that we don't use here everyday and that I know I will end up forgetting. Then came lunch time. The kids spent the afternoon in the sprinklers while I did some picking up around here. Then it was off to work. And finally I found time enough to log on and check you all out.

Tomorrow afternoon our library is having a Harry Potter party. The kids get to make wands and hats and watch Sorcerers Stone. We are all looking forward to that.

Deb

I do have some ideas about Hawaiian parties. How about making cookie leis? You make flower shaped cookies, and string them once they are decorated. Make chicken salad and serve it in hollowed out pineapple halves, kabobs are also a good party food with teriyaki chicken or beef.

I know I've got some other ideas, let me do some thinking and I'll get back to you on this tomorrow! This could be really fun!

Hey there everybody!
I don't know if y'all remember me from way back when the whole design frenzy started, but I'm Kaylyn. I kind of went off designing for a while, and stopped going on the DIS as well...Now I'm back onto it and I remember the good old DDA...So, of course, I go to find the old thread...not there. After searching around the boards, I finally found the designers! They gave you an entire forum?! Way to go, DDA! Anyways. Just wanted to drop in, say hello.

:goodvibes
