Well, MTM found out that I am a big big fan of the Tour de France.
Such an accomplishment for Lance Armstrong.
I told Thomas that the year before Lance won and now this year a few people have been removed because of a big doping scandal.
I said "Thomas, don't be a dope, don't do dope."
I tried to make him a helmet so he could look like he was riding in the Tour.
He also learned that Floyd Landis who rode with Lance is now in second place and he is from here in Lancaster County. So we are rooting for him.

Here is what Thomas looked like when I made him a helmet for riding in the Tour de France

Still trying to figure out how to get the pictures of Thomas in the cockpit loaded up. Ya'll may have to wait until Sunday :rotfl:
Too cute! I'm still LOL at the big Mickey goalie hands, though.

I know Paula said she might not be around for a few days, but has anyone heard from her off of the thread? I hope things are looking up for them.

Denise, Jennifer or Jennifer (or any other type medical people that might still be around)
They can't find his gallbladder. Does this make sense to y'all? They're going to give him morphine and try to force bile out of it, I guess to see if they can find it :confused3
:confused3 no clue.

Wow, took me forever to catch up & I still haven't read everything....

Everyone who went to DC...the pictures looked great. You all look like you had a great time..hopefully some day I can get to meet more of you!

Today's another scorcher here.

Denise, Sophie's going to Kindergarten & she wanted the Cinderella backpack from the Disney store. She has been wearing it around the house since we got it..she is very excited to be starting school.. I am sad because that is my last baby. :sad2: I think character backpacks are fine for their age.
So we have:
Brantley Kate
Christopher
Davis
Rees
Sophie

I thought there were more DDA kids starting Kindergarten this year.

It's not showing up on the test? Must mean it's completely blocked and the dye can't get through. They'll have to squeeze it to see if they can get it open. He'll probably need surgery.

Right, they couldn't see it on the test. I hope this does force him into surgery because he's been in pain for a really long time. Thanks for the info. It makes more sense now. I'm really going this time. We're having our house appraised on Thursday and I can't very well have my laundry and week old groceries lying around

What do you mean they can't find it? How are they looking, with an imaging machine (CT, MRI)? Or is he still at his PCP and he's prodding around?

ETA: nevermind.

Wish I could join the kindergarten party, but Leslie and Mary will only be starting preschool.

Alyssa has one more year of preschool, so next year my baby will be gone. :guilty:

or should I say :Pinkbounc

:grouphug: for your brother Dawn.

One more thing before I go, though. If y'all would keep my brother in your thoughts/prayers, I'd appreciate it. He's been having some severe abdominal pain and has been in the ER since 4am this morning. He's pretty stubborn so for him to go there means he's in a tremendous amount of pain. My mom said they gave him 3 shots of Dilaudin (I think that's the name, no clue how to spell it - it's a painkiller) and he's still having pain. He's had 2 hernia surgeries and has had gallbladder problems in the past. They don't think it's his gallbladder this time but they're sending him home with instructions to follow up with his PCP. We're not too happy about that, but what can you do?

Congratulations Dawn! :cheer2:

:cool1: Who got it?

That's my first milestone!

party: 47,000 party:

I still don't want to go clean, though :(

Tammi - are you still looking for some new dinner recipes? I just stumbled across a thread on the CB that is mostly recipes. It's call "The Official What's for Dinner thread." I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes I'm reading. They sound really good!!!!!

By the way, if anyone is interested, I just tried a recipe for Refried Bean Soup that was out of this world. Let me know if anyone wants it!

With my kids age difference, I pretty much had a kid home with me for 17 years!!!! I thought I'd be in shock when Kirsten went to school....now I have come to wonder how I survived all those years!!! :rotfl2:

But seriously, the idea will grow on you once they are in school...and enjoying it.

It sound so much cooler when you describe it like that! Is there anyway to find out which cities have these tours?

Dawn --

I am certain that someone else (Kate?!?!) has already done this and posted links but...

Since the Duck Tours are often owned by different companies, I would guess that you would have to Google Duck Tours and see what pops up. I know there are a lot of them!

I got it to load by pasting directly into my browser. I'm going back to look, now!
