I had hoped to be in bed by 11 PM, but obviously that didn't happen. I came home to 26 pages to read. Now that I'm caught up I'll also be heading to be to read Vanishing Acts (not with Vicki of course, get your minds out of the gutter ;) ) See you all tomorrow.

Thanks for the sweet comment!! If Snow White ever wears a size 14, then I am her ! :rotfl2:

I'm sure that after 3 kids even Snow White would be a size 14. You look GREAT!

This is hilarious!!!! My mom just emailed this to me:

To all of you that have sent me emails:

I must send my thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat poop in the glue
on envelopes because I now have to use a wet towel with every envelope that
needs sealing.

Also, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny
Brown) who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once I receive the
$15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating
in their special e-mail program.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out
for me, and St. Theresa's novena has granted my every wish.

I no longer eat KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant
freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water
buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you, I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I
forward an email to seven of my friends and make a wish within five
minutes.

Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove
toilet stains.

I no longer can buy gasoline without taking a man along to watch the car
so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm pumping gas.

I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr. Pepper since the people who make these
products are atheists who refuse to put "Under God" on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.

And thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup water in the
microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face...disfiguring me
for life.

I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked
with a needle infected with AIDS.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a
perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al
Qaeda in disguise.

I no longer shop at Target since they are French and don't support our
American troops or the Salvation Army.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number
for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore,
and Uzbekistan.

I no longer have any sneakers -- but that will change once I receive my
free replacement pair from Nike.

I no longer buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have
their recipe.

Thanks to you, I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown
African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it
bites my butt.

Thank you too for all the endless advice Andy Rooney has given us. I can
live a better life now because he's told us how to fix everything.

And thanks to your great advice, I can't ever pick up $5.00 I dropped in
the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester
waiting underneath my car to grab my leg.

Oh, and don't forget this one either!

I can no longer drive my car because I can't buy gas from certain gas
companies!

If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70
minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 PM this
afternoon and the fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing you
to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened
to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's
cousin's beautician...
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to Becky. I hope her teeth do not cause her any pain or problems at camp.

I had a brainy oral surgeon who allowed me to have all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed 4 days before I flew to Florida. Let me tell you I would never do it again.

I think the only one who will be upset by the lack of diagnosis will be Nick

he has really learned how to milk Mommy and Daddy by saying

"me sick" ;)

two weeks ago our doctor put him on an antibiotic and since he finished it - we really feel like he is back to his old self - the lethargy and headaches are gone!

I would say for 6-8 weeks he really wasn't okay - it has been a really long couple of months!!! I am so relieved it is all over - I hate drama!!!

You so deserve this trip to DC! I'm so glad that all is well with Nick!

night, Tammi

ETA: This post is time stamped 10:01, but my computer clock says it is really 10:21... weird
My time is always off by a couple of minutes. I think the DIS runs in slow time so that we think we can stay longer than we really can. :rotfl2:

Well, I'm off to bed as well! I added one more mile to my walking in the morning, and I'm feeling it tonight! I had to get up about half an hour earlier, as well, so I'm bushed.

I'll check you all out in the morning. Have a great trip to those who are leaving!

Becky wants to know if she was put to sleep or was awake for the procedure? That is the part that she is worrying about. She is going to be awake for the procedure.

Cassidy was awake for all 3 parts...the poor kid had to see an oral surgeon to create places for the gunk to drain and then one other part after that. She doesn't remember much, thank goodness and it doesn't sound like Becky will have half the trouble Cassidy did. It(the tooth) didn't actually seem to hurt once the infection was taken care of.

Good luck!!

I just came back on to get one last hoorah in before I left in the morning...no way I will have time to check in then.

Please don't be too chatty for the 6 days I am gone. :rotfl2: Ahhhh who am I kidding I'll come home to tons of pages and will love every minute of the catch up.

Can't wait to meet some of you on Saturday!!!

Denise-I did manage to see all the pictures. The link to the Birthday pictures worked but the beach one said they could not be found. :confused3 All of you look like you had a blast. How is your brother doing??

I am now off to bed, good night and good morning.

Naughty, naughty, but oh so worth it! My room is painted the color of Mickey's shoes and before I hung the drapes and got the new comforter, I was seriously considering repainting. Now I'll just add another coat of paint....

looks fabulous!!!

It looks like Terra and I will fly out sometime around Aug 15. We are living with my parents for awhile until we get settled/money saved/etc. My other main reason for wanting to do that is to give my poor mom a break. I will get to take over the cooking, cleaning, pool and yard work for awhile as well as try to get her basement and garage cleaned out. Mom works at a grocery store, plus watches my sister's kids on the days she is off. Add to that trying to keep up with a 10yo at 50+yo and she's a little tired. More so, just doesn't have any free time to do the things she wants to do both alone and with my sister. I, luckily, don't have to look for a job. I am get to go back to staying home with Terra! And will also watch my sister's kids. We're working out a deal where she pays me a little less than she would the current babysitter saving her some money and giving me some Disney money. Phil is going to find a job as soon as we get there. Once we get settled to I am going to look into a few work at home ideas that I have had over the last few years to see if I can get something going for myself as well.

this sounds like a great plan, I am happy for you.

So tonight that news report with Disney money saving tips was on - and OMG - I could not believe how horrible it was -

it started out showing the DISNEYLAND castle for WDW - her big suggestions on saving money were to buy souveniors at Wal-mart before you go and to stay at Fort Wilderness or the Villas to save money on food and only have table service at lunch -

she had a DVC bag - so I am sure that she is a member so that makes sense for her - but if you were truly budgeting - it is not a good option -

he said that if you buy multi-day tickets - you can enter the parks at 6 am!!! ***?!!?!?

I sent him an email tonight - here is what I wrote: I think you will be able to see what other innacuracies he had

I am an avid Disney fan and watched your segment tonight on Disney Savings - the inaccuracy of the report and lack of true savings potential at Disney was really surprising to me.

In the clips of Walt Disney World - you actually showed the Disneyland castle.

The resorts that you mentioned staying in to save money because they allow you to cook - cost over $100 more a night than the value resorts - the woman featured in your story appears to be a Disney Vacation Club member - which allows her the flexibility to stay in these resorts but for a family heading to WDW on occassion - staying in those hotels is not a good choice when on a tight budget.

In addition - if you stay on property - you can ride a free shuttle to the resorts from the airport so to get groceries would require renting a car or paying to have them delivered - not worth the difference you would save on groceries.

You did not mention researching the Disney Dining plan which gives an economical option to those who will be eating all their meals on property - it is around $35/day for an adult and $10 a day for a child and includes a counter service meal, table service meal and snack item.

If a family was on a tight budget, getting a room at one of Disney's budget resorts and adding the dining plan - would actually be cheaper than staying at the Deluxe resorts you mentioned, paying for groceries and meals and a rental car to get them

The best way to not waste your money at Disney is to plan, plan, plan. A better website to refer them to would have been disboards.com - which helps in planning and can help people choose which resort choices are best for them.

The cheap offsite hotel you showed in the clip (the Swan and Dolphin) runs about $200 a night - in off season - hardly considered a budget option

You said multi-day passes allow you in the park at 6 am - this is not true. This is a perk for Disney resort guests only - and allows you in a park on designated days one hour before opening. The Magic Kingdom NEVER opens before 8 am - therefore - you would never be able to enter the park at 6 am.

A quick comparison for my family in August - using your budget saving tips versus my suggestions - gave me the following price difference:

staying in one of Disney's All-Star resorts: includes tickets and the Dining Package - giving my kids a character meal each day of my trip and a counter service meal and snack
$2499

or staying in a Moderate resort
$2831

USING YOUR MONEY SAVING TIPS:
needing to rent a car; having 2 character meals, and counter service 5 days - leaving us with one meal a day in our room - that I would have to cook on my vacation and staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins
$3200 -

if I eliminated the rental car and groceries delivered instead - it would cost me $3000

I would hope that in the future when giving information in your reports that you would take time to verify information and suggestions.
