We are going to AK today and I have been persuaded to go on Everest
We get to the park for park opening with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Mickey, and straight after head to Everest - of course we havent had a big breakfast just in case this ride doesnt agree with us
Unfortunately it is a walk on ride and it is about 10 minutes. I am stupidly still in line to ride this thing
I am really scared when I am on it and apprehensive - it is not too bad until it goes backwards which gives me motion sickness - but stupidly when I get off I head with Lauren to get a fast pass for riding it again
We then head straight (or in my case side to side and wobbly) to the safari and again we are on within 10 minutes. It seems that the safari gets better everytime as we see the baby elephants and a baby giraffe who, along with her mother and father hold up the vehicles as they are standing in the road
After the safari we head back to Everest and after we go to watch the nemo show - this show is amazing and the colours are really lovely - this show is a must if you are going soon!
After nemo we get a bus to Port Orleans as we want to look around this hotel and decide to have lunch here. I have a cheese steak sandwich which is really good, Kevin has a ham swiss cheese sandwich and Lauren has a caeser chicken wrap. The lunch was nice.
After lunch we head to DTD and start shopping
We also check out where BBB is as Lauren is having her hair done there in 2 days time.
We head back to our hotel and get ready for dinner. Dinner tonight we were all looking forward to as we were going to Jiko and would be able to look around AKL again which is where we stayed last year.
The meal at Jiko was amazing and our waiter was extremely attentative so we left an extra tip - I will post pics of our meals at some point too. We even sang his praises to the manager who advised that any staff that were praised got put into a draw and Disney have excellent prizes for their staff who go into the draws - like cruises, vouchers etc. I hope he wins something good!
After our meal we head back to GF and encounter a black snake which really freaks me out - I dont mind spiders and in fact we saw a large one at AK today but snakes are something else Kevin and Lauren kept going on that the snake would come up to our room! Very funny - we are on the fourth floor
