The DaVinci Code

Actually I would love for Jesus to have someone to share his love with. Don't stereotype. Like I have said in this thread, if he found a way to have a child with a sinner, and still be all that he could be, then so be it. The fact is, even the Gnostics don't even mention Jesus being married except for one word whose definition is even in question. The one strand of this entire thing hinges on a word that could mean spouse or friend. Historians agree that nowhere in anything except for that word mention anything of Jesus being married. I am only stating the facts. If you presented me irrefutable proof that can't be deconstructed like Dan Browns, please by all means show it too me now.

And don't dodge the point with the Muslims, they are angry, end of story.

Here is my earlier post. Just so you don't think I pulled this out of my magic hat, I quoted this from the second page. By all means go take a look. Read through the whole thread before you start accusing people of their beliefs.

Btw, to me, it shouldn't matter even then, because God did create love for us. It is just in today's society that sex has been turned into an ugly thing because of STD's and all of the cheating that goes on in most marriages. If Jesus found a way to still be Holy and marry Mary, then so be it. No pun intended.

Btw, I know all about how the early Christians used Pagan rituals to try to localize Christianity during the Middle Age. Every religious, political, and social system acts this way. The bigger adapts smaller parts of the society to their own to familiarize the culture to the locals. I actually despise the church as it is here on earth. I have seen and heard of the destruction brought about by ALL religions. To me, the Church should have no head, where we can go and worship at a Starbucks or the mall, and not go and listen to some sermon on Sunday. The truest definition of the Body of Christ.

Well, wouldn't it be correct to say that people are fond of of saying " God is forgiving"? So, wouldn't jesus' acceptance of a "sinner" fall in category of forgiveness? Wouldn't that be a great lesson?

Muslims are a bit overprotective of their prophets and Allah (arabic for god).

And, I hardly think I'm accusing you of anything false.Unless those crosses are meant to represent something else, you are overtly displaying your that you love jesus. And I'm sure he loves you back.

Okay, fine. Like I said, if he did, so be it. That still doesn't answer my question as I am tired of dealing with what if scenarios. Do you have the incontrovertible proof that states that Jesus and Mary had a daughter and later became part of the Merogivinian line of France, or any bloodline for that matter

Well, the lie was perpetuated by the catholic church until people caught on, so isn't it perfectly plausible that jesus was in love with a woman by Thizz

Well, then since Dan Brown has lied about the Council of Nicea, Priory of Sion, the gross misinterpretation of Opus Dei, along with the interpretation of the Gnostic gospels, isn't it perfectly plausible that Dan Brown lied about this too.

If you have proof, I will believe, and it won't affect my belief.

Am I the only one in this debate that thinks that it was a low blow of Thizz to start attacking Saxsoon's belief in Jesus?

The mere thought of Mary Magdalene being married to Jesus was just plain heresy, and I feel Mary had to clarify this. Mary was not a mere subjucated uneducated Christian anymore. She was strong, and this nearly shook the pillars of the patriarchy. In Margaret Starbird's book "The Woman with the Alabaster Jar: Mary Magdalen and the Holy Grail" she states:

"It is my conviction that Christianity and its inception included the celebration of the hieros gamos, the 'sacred marriage' of opposites, a model incarnate in the archeypal Bridegroom and his bride-Jesus Christ and the woman called Magdalene."

Also, in her new book "Magdalene's Lost Legacy, she writes about the symbol of sacred marriage: the Star of David.

"Jewish rabbinical tradition teaches that the Ark of the Covenant kept in the Holy of Holies of Solomon's Temple on Mount Zion in Jerusalem contained, in addition to the tablets on which the Ten Commandments were inscribed, a 'man and a woman locked in intimacy in the form of a hexagram'-the union of the opposites".

It is extremely obvious that Mary as an educated woman was felt a as a threatening entity. This is seen in the Gnostics, in the Magdalene's own 'gospel'. Just look it up yerself because I honestly don't feel like searching for it. "It is almost clear that Mary cannot win in history, she has still been relegated to her position as prostitue. She cannot win with her contemporaries, many of whom are disciples, because they are filled with Jealousy over her intimacy with Yeshua or Jesus (the Teacher)."

Have you read up on the Black Madonna? She is represented in Poland as a the strength and equality of woman hood, a proud figure against the subordanite image of the White Madonna. From "Bloodline of the Holy Grail":

"The Black Madonna is thus also representative of the Magdalene who, according to the Alexandrian doctrine, 'transmitted the true secret of Jesus.' She is black because wisdom is black, having existed in the darkness of Chaos before the Creation."

ETA: The problem is that Dan Brown didn't start this theory of Jesus+Mary. It has been around for a few centuries. I feel he exploited this as a controversial subject to get the money to roll in. So I wouldn't place my faith in Dan Brown.

What a long rant that was!

Oh wow... I don't stand a chance against the two scholars.

Ok, and no, you're not the only one who thinks that Thizz made a low blow to Saxsoon. He has every right to believe in what he wants and you have no reason as to "convert" him into different thoughts of what "really" is God's teachings and such. The Church chose the four Gospels most believe in nowadays and they disregarded whatever ones they thought didn't fit. Who are we to say what is wrong and what is right? If you ask me, I'm surprised because you'd think there would be some cults placing their faith in the other Gospels, although it might be lowly regarded, who are we to say they're wrong?

The "true faith" is whatever we choose to believe in, not the "faith" that others drill into us. We have free will, do we not have the right to use it when we want?

Very informative too lol.

No I don't think she delt a low blow to me. I am sorry it sounded like that. I was commenting on how she mentioned because of my sig, she wouldn't make much headway.

I guess it sounds very contradictory doesn't it that I don't think it should matter, but I defend vehemently against the marriage. It is hard to explain. I guess if you found your friend did something that made him lose a lot of credibility, he is still your friend, but you still also want to back him up. That is the best I can describe it.

Thizz, I am sorry if I was being mean in any way during our little debate lol. :goodvibes

I had no right to force down anybody others throats either. Just wanted to say that the church had little say as to what gospels were being used. Many the books you see today in the New Testament were chosen by the Christian population before the end of the first century C.E. Many of the Gnostics are dated to have been written in the second or third century, so the Christians did not lend them much credibility.

I am going to stop now and let others carry this on if they want.

I really hope you didn't just call me a "she". At last check, i'm 100% male. My name, not wondering what you think it means, is bay Area (Vallejo) slang.

As for people thinking it was a low blow, i was merely, in my own mind, pointing out the fact that she (now I'm the one assuming gender, lol) has a bias.

Let bygones be bygones. I did take it to seriously though, sorry.
