knowing you, you will be calling MT to get them to call Disney as often as humanly possible. Just don't give up. I hope you get to AoA... but I hope you stay at Pop too! I'm torn!

I'm afraid I've already lost out on it. Some people on the AoA thread are reporting sell-outs for dates after mine. I swore last year that I wouldn't book through a TA again and now look at the mess I'm in!

If you really want AoA, I hope you get it!

And it can be frustrating to not see a loss when you've been working hard... but at least the scale isn't going in the wrong direction, right?

Well guys, I'm sorry for this but I have to continue to vent a little. Yesterday I was so ready to put my bad day behind me but it wasn't ready to let go of me.

Last night around 7:30pm (here) I read on the AoA thread here on the Dis that all September dates had opened up for FD!! I got on the phone to my travel agent, re-routed to a different office and spoke to a different agent, one who I've often thought seemed a little... impolite. She told me that she couldn't help me because she had a line up of customers in front of her. I was so upset... my TA was gone, the others were unwilling to help me, and I couldn't do it myself (as much as I wanted to). I'm kicking myself for booking with a TA. I can show you the post in last year's PTR where I swore I would do it on my own next time! WHY oh WHY didn't I???

I had a terrible night, tossing and turning, sweating and chills, awful dreams... I think I really am coming down with something nasty.

5 more minutes until my TA office opens, my phone is next to me and ready to dial. I'm going to try again and keep this page open to update you all and you might just witness my breakdown if I've missed out.

9:01 and they haven't opened their phone line yet.

9:11 called, she's going to call Disney and find out and call me back.

9:32 still no call back, of course Disney might be busy... nevertheless I'm freaking out a bit. Does this post make my nervous disposition look big?

9:56 Phone rings. It's a scammer company that won't stop calling me. I completely lost my temper. Oops! Come on TA! Call me back!

10:15 I called the TA back. She hasn't even called Disney yet. I'm so frustrated. WHY did I book with a TA!?

You've compiled quite a great list there We love Le Cellier, Kona for breakfast cannot be beat, well maybe Boma but both are fantastic!! I think Jasmine and I are going to split the fried chicken at 50's this year....it also looks so good!

Yay! I'm glad to hear everyone's good comments on the places we picked. I'm so excited for that fried chicken!!

So I waited an hour this morning for the TA to call me back. I called her and asked if she had called Disney yet, she said no. I told her I was leaving and gave her my cell phone number.

So I went straight to her office and sat myself down in front of her desk.

Get this -- she was on the phone with a new customer asking about a Disney trip. She told them "I'm just going to call Disney and then I'll call you right back!" I guess that's the type of service I get when I'm not her client.

I told her who I was and what I wanted and sat and waited while she called Disney. With no trouble at all she switched me to a Little Mermaid room in the Art of Animation resort, September 16-23 with the free dining!



I'm going to be one of the first people to stay in a Little Mermaid room!!!!

And that is why I prefer to not use a TA... I'm a control freak... When I want to make a change to my reservation, I want it NOW, not later... They never understand how important Disney is to me!!!

Oh my goodness! Sorry to hear how much trouble switching your reservation was! I can't believe how much work it took for the TAs to cooperate with you... However, it's water under the bridge now!

It's great that you're staying in the new Little Mermaid rooms!!! You'll have to take A LOT of pictures so we all can see. I bet it's going to be awesome, and you two are going to love it!

Omg, I'm a control freak with a short memory. Each trip we book with a TA, and each trip I regret it and swear to never do it again. I completely agree, the TAs think that whenever they get around to it is good enough... not for me!

They're so sweet! I thought for sure Johnny would think it was too girly but he doesn't really care, he's just excited for the brand new resort!

I know from reading your PTR that you've now got in to AoA, but for the future, this thread is my AoA bible. That's where I heard that they had opened all check in dates in Sept. for FD. There's a lot of great info and people on that thread who are dedicated to the new resort. See you there!

Way too much trouble to get it done but I've already forgotten about it! (But I will write a note on my computer moniter -- "Wendy - next time you book Disney, DO IT YOURSELF") I'm so excited to take pictures of absolutely everything there! Oddly enough the thing that most excites me is the Lion King courtyard area.

Last night, I showed my youngest DD the pics/videos of AoA on Disney's website... she is ALL OVER staying in a Lion King room! We're going to try for our next family trip to be October 2013, but I was thinking (wishing/dreaming/hoping) for a Deluxe, LOL!

I used a travel agent last year to book DCL and it drove me crazy waiting around whenever I had a change or when excursions opened up for booking. How do I know she is up early to make sure I get what I want? After that I swore I would never use a TA to book WDW.

Glad the dieting and exercise are going semi well. The exercise will make you ache all over and feel like crap. MOTRIN! Stick with it. I am sure you will see results!

The suites look so awesome! Of course with just two of us it would be crazy, but if I had a family going I'd love to try them. I wonder how the suites would compare to a deluxe room as far as space and amenities go...

Thanks, me too! It's going to be one of those crazy stressful incidents that you forget about very soon, I know it. As soon as I get to Disney I'll just be happy to be at a new resort!

I swore no TAs last year! But then this year I was concerned about whether or not we would get the dining plan free, how much it was going to be, etc. so we decided to go with a TA. Kicking myself now but what can you do? Like you said, it paid off!
And... don't tell Johnny but Eric used to be my boyfriend when the Little Mermaid first came out.
