The Daily Grind ~ 9/27/13

Up early - have to be on my toes today. Going to the Big E - the New England States fair - with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders for the day. To see the fair from a kids' perspective will be unique!!
We'll be back to school by 2 - they are out at 2:30- but the hours in between will almost guarantee an afternoon nap!!!

TGIF!!!

Big E sounds fun, but especially with a big group of kids! Beautiful day too! (at least it is here, hope it is there!)

Today:
Cable company to exchange non-working (well) remote
Bread outlet for donuts for tomorrow am &cookies
New Aldi's (milk was 59cents Monday, but I had 2 gallons in my frodge and no room. Today I have room and need so hopefully still promo'd!) plums, grapes

Last night was Meet the Teacher nite. I came to the realization that maybe, just maybe, there is hope for DS13 and he's not a mutant refuge from some strange planet! This will require more research! LOL!!!
Kiddo told me his Spanish teacher talked fast, but wowza!! His Spanish teacher talks FAST!!(in English and Spanish!! I talk fast, but wow, just wow; I left with my head spinning at 7:15pm; I could never do it at 8am!! Yikes!

we are going to middle school night at the high school tonight with Megan's BFF & her mom (they are hoping to get accepted there too) football game, the girls go to the dance and we go to the parent social....just hope the rain stays away during the game!

sounds like a fun day Caroline! hope you have lots of parents going too!

TGIF - where is everyone?

Have been up since six cleaning, chatting with a few friends and went out for a nice long walk. Sun is shining - still quite warm but not at humid so I didn't feel like I was walking in sauna thank goodness!

Getting ready to check email an then scrap some. Hope everyone is doing well!

Sorry, while the 5AM alarm came, I was not ready to be awake but had to get stuff done.. It's homecoming Friday here...so you have to be back up the hill by 2pm or else it will take almost an hour to make a 5 minute drive when the lights are in sync!
Really, I am serious.. town gets packed with families coming in for the parade and the game and those who can come home from college trying to get home after their last class.. it's a ZOO!!

I made it back up the hill by noon!!! I got all my shopping done but have decided I am boycotting our local M's.. it's going downhill and the customer service is a joke.. wouldn't take my coupon today... if it wasn't for the fact they were the only ones in town w/ the color sn@p book I needed to complete a project this weekend I would have walked out without it! I'm done!!! Just done!!!!

Then some lady wouldn't stop searching for a number, reading an email or something on her blasted Iphone and nearly hit me... crossed over into my lane and when I laid on the horn she shrugged her shoulders... really lady, really.... hit my new car and we are going to have problems!!!

Ok, so the rest of the day:

get dishwasher load
separate the bulk meats I bought today
pick up DS12 from school (no practices due to chaos before homecoming parade)
await DS17 from school (no practices due to chaos before homecoming parade)
get homework done
dinner -- something easy and quick
walk up to parade route -- enjoy parade no kids participating this year because of other events keeping them from being able too
enjoy parade
walk home grab what we need and walk to the game (note walk fast because it will be PACKED!)
