Hope everyone is doing well!!

So I have to share with you a conversation my SIL had with my 12 year old niece D on social studies homework:
D: I hate social studies! It's SO BOR-ING! Why do we have to learn about the past? Why can't we just focus on the present and the future?
SIL: Because we need to learn from the past and hopefully we won't make the same mistakes again.
D (sarcastically): That's just crazy...it's not like I'm gonna go out there and do something from the 1400's Mom!!


Today:
Morning chores
Pay bills
Run errands and grocery shop
Try scrapping again (met with a neighbor yesterday afternoon to help organize donations for people in the Keys)
Work on next week's to do list
Dinner?

The next several weeks are going to be very busy around here.. lots to do; lots to handle; and lots of people that need to get on board or get out of my way!

Today's agenda:

C up and off to work
PJ and M up and off to work
B up and off to school/football
C home for a nap before he has to leave again for classes
Me:
read 12 pages in my chapter
photo of what I did for name plates/HS photo announcements for graduation & send to friend
C's laundry -- started
sweep kitchen & dining rooms
have my papers edited (got side-tracked last night w/ Big Brother.. lol)
need kids to hand over Christmas lists (starting shopping next week)
need B & PJ to hand over birthday lists (uh, running out of daylight kids)
finish up journalling to print for PJ's classroom book (can be caught up by weekend)
search for PJ's class photos from last year to put into and complete her paper bag album
upload needed photos for several projects
pull sketches for '10 - C's life book pages
put together 6 paper bag albums for friend
read 12 more pages for my class (these chapters are long w/ lots of information)
finish last '09 page that is on my desk and get them into protectors if I have enough (if not shipment due in soon!)

Had coffee with friends - I so enjoy the time spent drinking coffee and sharing life with them

Great granddaughter is to be born on October 4!!!
