Good morning

Off to school to get my room (s) prepared - school is supposed to begin Monday but with the hurricane, who knows?
Get prepared for possible power outages - stock up!

LTM ~ good luck getting ready for class and stocking up...

I've been up and movin' today.. DH is in a mood so I'm glad he took it to work with him..
Left for the day:

take DS15 to school early for meeting
DS10 and I run a quick errand
DS10 to school
home to scrap the day away
wash DS15's soccer uniform for weekend game
pick up DS10 from school
homework duty
pick up DS15 from practice
DD home from practice (times are never where they can ride together from practices)
dinner ready early (5:30ish) so that everyone can leave for game..
DS10 and I will stay home and enjoy the quiet time ~ he wants to play with the neighbor kids because we have been so busy this week he hasn't had time... and I want to scrap and enjoy the evening..

up bright and early for sports.. DD has meet at and then we have to rush out of town to get to DS15's soccer game.. should be done by 1pm and the rest of the weekend is free..

All of you in the hurricane's path, be safe. I'm praying for all of you.

DH won the bet on DS's car yesterday! The car shop had the car ready by lunchtime yesterday. I was impressed! DH said he wasn't surprised. Since they weren't making any money on it they needed to get it fixed and off the lift so they could get a paying customer's car in there! So, I took DH to lunch and met up with DS to trade cars. I now have my own car back!!!!!!

Today is a teaching day for me. I've got 3 scrapbooking classes scheduled at Michaels and I've got students signed up for all 3!!

My day:
Gather everything that I need for my classes
Review the card class since this is the first time I'm teaching that one - practice some of the techniques so I can teach it without looking at my notes
Go to Michaels early to update my class signs with September info
Discuss with manager the pricing problem on the Cricut cartridge for my Cricut class next month
Set up for 1st class
Teach Glittering Techniques class
Clean up, take a short break & set up for next class
Teach Card Tricks class
clean up, take a longer break so I can get some dinner & set up for next class
Teach Mini Paperbag Album class
Clean up classroom and pack up my stuff
Go Home (hopefully DH will remember to leave the outside lights on for me this time!)

I've had a crazy morning, so far. My youngest dd had an asthma attack this morning while getting ready for school, my dad is having oral surgery this morning (he is very allergic to a lot of medication, so it's always a little scary when he has to be knocked out), and my oldest nephew was accidently hit in the face at school, so my sister is on her way to the ER to see if he needs stitches. Oh, and we're moving. Who knows if I will get much accomplished today. Think I will work on packing boxes and swapping while waiting to see if anyone in the family needs my help.

I'm also keeping an eye on the hurricane. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone on the east coast this weekend. Please stay safe!

so my girl heads to Camp Erin today, leaving at 3:30 for drop off and parents come back at 10:00am Sunday, they do a family lunch and we get to see what they did for the weekend....please send Megan happy thoughts, she's a bit scared to be away from mama! I know she's going to have a great time once she's there and settled in, I'll miss my girl.

If anyone wants to "hang out" with me tomorrow, we can do a mini on-line scrap session, plan on working on my Everyday swap.

just going to hang out and finish up Megan's packing, see what she wants to do, maybe lunch out!

It has been about a month since moving to my new house and I am finally starting to feel at home here-it has been so much more work getting settled in than I had anticipated! No matter how much help or planning go into it, moving is so stressful....a few weeks ago, I couldn't see any light at the end of the tunnel but today life is pretty good.
Now, if our old house was sold I'd really be fantastic!!

Yesterday was my son's first day of school(9th Grade)in his new school and there was some good and some bad--hoping today is a better day and he makes a friend here.

Today, I am putting some finishing touches on my new scrapbooking room and I hope to get everything in place so I can create something and maybe work on some of my albums using the beautiful swap items I've received from this group.

I'm looking forward to joining some more swaps here--going to check out what's coming up....I hope I didn't miss the paper dolls swap!!

I didn't get a birthday weekend, so I think I'll make this one mine

We're stocked up with food and water and flashlights and batteries and all. Going to be spending all weekend in the house, I think. Hoping that we don't lose power and that we need to cook on the gas grill. I've got to make sure I know where the cat carriers are, just in case. My little kitty boy hates storms, so we won't have any trouble tracking him down - he hides next to the trash can in the hallway to the basement. The girl cat sleeps on top of me, so I can find her easily too.

I'm working today, but the boss is out, so it's a simple day.

Just talked to my sister. My nephew didn't need stitches. He's on his way back to school with the promise of an ice cream from his Aunt She-She after school. I haven't heard anything from school or my mom, so I'm assuming that everything is going ok with Jaci and my dad.

Lisa, I should be around most of tomorrow. I'll drop in and keep you company. I need to work on swaps this weekend. I hope Meagan has a wonderful time. Sending prayers and pixie dust to both of you.

Lazy day today.
Have to run a copy of DD#2's birth certificate to the school. totally spaced it the other day.

I think we'll just hang out and do nothing much and enjoy the last few days of summer. The last few days at work have been crazy! Only 4 more days to go!
