The Daily Grind ~8/24/11~

It's Hump Day!!

So, we got a little shook up yesterday! I was glad that my whole fam was at home with me. I was getting ready for work, DH was sleeping after his midnight shift, and the boys were both home. It was a strange feeling, and not one I am eager to repeat. I almost needed a Dramamine!

My list:

:laundy:

Swish, Swipe and Swiffer

Start getting things ready for Stampin Up club on Sat.

Pack a dinner
Work @ 3p

Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning!

Are you an SU Dealer, Deb? I LOVE my Stampin up club and wish we could go every week instead of just once a month!

Today
finish door magnets
make a "Cars" packet for a "wish" kid - boys are so hard
clean something
unpack from my test pack and repack for real.
watch the hurricane. My friend is supposed to get married on the dream this weekend. Another friend on her way to the cape for a week :scared1:

Happy Day, ALL!

Glad to hear everyone is safe from the shake up yesterday on the east coast... and earlier yesterday Colorado had one! What a day!!

Yesterday we finally saw rain for an extended period (maybe an hour)... :woohoo: It delayed our game for an hour..but our team one!!!! It was a great game!! DS15 got play time again on VARSITY!!!

Today:
Here is what is left to do:

:laundy:
scrapbook
pick up DS10 from school
homework duty
run DS15 cold water for practice
DD home from XC practice
DS10 ready for his soccer practice
pick up DS15 from his practice
dinner
older kids' homework

**May have to pick up one of the kids' friends to take to the college site because PJ has to stay at the HS for her college class today..... The kids will text me and let me know this morning.... so I need to set my alarm for that and her pick up back to practice.

Nope, I'm not a SU Dealer. A girl at work was talking about the club that meets at her mom's house. They had lost a few members, and she asked if I wanted to join. Ummmm... YES!! So, I have that one along with the one I do online now :teeth:

So, there is a bit of time after the demo and before we have to leave for work that we work on our own stuff. I'm hoping to get things ready to do assembly for my card swap groups...

I'm so happy to hear that everyone is alright after that quake yesterday. :goodvibes

Nan, congrats to your DS and the team!!!!

Today is going to be a tough day, but also an exciting one. We move DS to the dorm today. I'm so excited for him, but I'm going to miss him so much. He's really excited and can't wait to get started on this new adventure, but he says it feels so wierd that he won't be coming home each day.

Here's my day:
Help DS pack last few things
Make list of things we need to stop and get on the way
Take photos
Stop for missing items
Stop at car shop to see what's up with car
Go to FSU and get DS moved in
Take more photos
Say goodbye to DS and try hard not to cry:sad1:
Cry on way home with DH shaking his head at me
Take my car for oil change
Maybe go to a movie or something with DH since he's off today
Grocery shopping
Dinner- ??
Scrap

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Stephanie, i admit that it is tough when they move out for college. Rog and I would have a tough time as each girl left, one yr we had three go at the same time. Think it is called "empty nest syndrome."
Find something to do to occupy you - crying is just fine and normal. Just think, as your dh is shaking his head, he's feeling the same way inside. BTW - just think how your son might be feeling - so many "news" for him to experience. Hope you all have a great moving day!!

Morning Linda, Deb and Nancy - hope you all have a great day. :thumbsup2

Stephanie, It's okay for you to cry!!! I will be crying with you next year!!! My dad said my mom cried the entire hour and a half drive home.... I cried too.... believe me... my mom has photos of me to prove it... (of course it didn't help that my 2 best friends from HS helped moved me in and they were going to a different college)... I didn't even know it for several months but a guy from my hometown lived 3 floors above me... Didn't find out he lived in our dorms until his drunk butt came knockin' on my door w/ another HS friend. LOL

Stephanie remember to take pics for a layout before you start crying. I'll be there next year too! I was even crying on Monday for Sarah's "last first day" as she put it. I'll bet your DS is nervous, let us know how the move in goes. Maybe you could do something fun this afternoon.

My day:

Work on event or AK swap
Laundry
Pay bills
Go to pick up Rachel's choir dress
Dinner--Rachel is cooking (I'll assist)

Have a great day all :flower3:

 Stephanie, go ahead and cry, its what us mama's do, I know I will have some tears on the 7th when Megan starts middle school. Bright side is he will be close by and I'm sure coming home with lots of dirty :laundy: for you!

Nan, congrats to your DS and the team!

Happy everyone is safe after yesterday's quake :goodvibes

we went to our dinner prep place yesterday and Megan had a blast putting all the ingrediants together, unfortunately they are closing this shop, but are keeping the one about 30 miles away, they will do free delivery though from the other shop, but its fun to put the food together, so we might be going on Saturdays from now on since Megan enjoyed it so much!

today:
:surfweb:
scrapbook - just 6 more groups of photos and WDW trip is completed
meeting grandma to see "the help"
couple errands
meeting friends down at our little beach for picnic dinner and sand time!

here is megan's new closet, waiting on the new curtains, she put everything back where she wanted it! will have room to grow as she gets older once the American Girl area is packed away.....the three white cubes have stuffed animals and other small toys in them
