Good Morning!

Gray start to the day here!

So I have to share this, Josh decided on nachos for dinner last night and being distracted I managed to set the whole pan of chips and cheese on fire in the oven Set the smoke detector off Julia ran out of the house and burst out laughing! The whole mess ended up in the sink so I could put out the flames. Burnt cheese and chips smell nasty! Oh well, lesson learned not to get distracted while making dinner. DH had barely walked in the door when Julia blabbed about my troubles. So much for mother/daughter solidarity!

So on to today:

Julia to school, last day!
Work
mail blankets hopefully
checkbook-didn't get to it yesterday
dinner porkchops
pull paper for paper clip cuts

Hi Cassey - very grey here too at the other end of the state. In for some big time rain - and, according to the Weather Channel, a 4/10 chance of tornadoes.
Rain we can surely use, but tornadoes, no thanks!!

More cleaning - on a roll here.

Her last softball game was last night and they were undefeated for the season (they lost one game in tournament play, but that doesnt' count towards their regular season standings) so they took first place. She also hit a grand slam Ok, I am done

Had a great time with Lisa and Megan yesterday. We made some progress

Soon as my counters are cured I will be in heaven!!!

All that's left to be unpacked is Dbf's stuff. And some playroom stuff, that I'm not unpacking till rooms are painted.

Start laundry. Not looking forward to this at all- I'll post a pic of my laundry area soon.

we did have fun at Rachal's yesterday, didn't get home until almost 11, so slept in a bit this morning!

sorry we didn't get more done Rachal, at least we got a couple rooms livable

That was a productive day for him.....

After you left he did bring his nightstand up, and moved the bed to the wall opposite the tv

I need to find my paper so I can make lists for everyone. Or I should just do it all myself and then publicly shame him on facebook

Whew, finally a minute to sit down! I baked all morning. 2 batches of boxed brownies, 2 batches of banana crumb muffins, and 1 batch each of zucchini and zucchini chocolate chip muffins!

Got a call from one of the dads in our troop. Their family is involved in little league too, and since baseball is done, they would like to donate the ice cream to us for the sale. Well, OK! I went to the concession stand and picked up chocolate eclairs, fudscicles, screw balls, and Sonic the Hedgehog and Spongebob bars. They were just going to throw it away! So, my chest freezer is full! Since it's all donated, it's pure profit, and we can under-price the ice cream truck when they come around

No storms here yet, but I expect they'll be rolling through. It's super humid out. Cassey, no distractions while cooking tonight!

Rachal and Lisa, glad you got to visit and got at least a little done.

Been a very busy evening last night and day to day..

PJ did well..she is doing great in her recovery and is enjoying being pampered.. My girl is a trooper!!! Very proud of her..

Congrats to your DD, Michelle!!! I love those type of seasons!!!

Please send the storm and rain to my hometown... it's so miserable here... the sun is blazing yet again...and when they say we have a chance of rain the east side of the state and Ohio get slammed and my hometown sees absolutely NOTHING, my grass looks like the Sahara!

Ok, back to taking care of my baby girl..

Ok, so, more warnings of possible tornadoes this evening. After the terrible tornado here last June, 2011, I will get things ready in the cellar, just in case. Better safe than sorry.

The warnings are at our end of the state, western Mass, so we can expect quite a bit of rain this time (hoping), high winds, possible hail etc....

Accomplished a lot of cleaning today, really on this roll lately.

Nancy - hoping that TJ is comfortable after her surgery.
Michelle - congrats to your dd.
Rachal and Lisa- nice team work there!!

I'm tired
James had his dental surgery this morning - got done with that about 11 so we decided to hit the Dallas Zoo since we were pretty close to it & James was doing great (they didn't over do the sleepy stuff)
got caught in one lane of traffic - road work ;(
but we are home & I got laundry going
