The Weekend... Day #1

Stories from my house:

DS21 (22 on Monday) is now the owner of a 2007 black Honda Civic EX. I'm told it's "DA BOMB"... but I still haven't seen DS21 to have a tour of his vehicle. He was at work when I got home yesterday, I was asleep when he got home...

DS18 had a job interview yesterday. We really thought he was going to get this one, poor kid has been putting in apps since last summer...so the new manager tells him that they will be rehiring some returning kids first, and there isn't a position for him at this time. But she is really impressed with him, and if anything changes, he will be called first. Everyone at the shop really likes him, so I'm sure he will be called if something changes, but that doesn't help him right now...

I have to work all weekend and Monday...DH is playing at the beach What's wrong with this picture?

me ready for the day why am I up at 5 am on a weekend I wanted to sleep.

see if E can walk or not he fell off the bunkbed ladder last night at 10 as we were finishing packing the truck. Scrapped the heck out of a shin and banged it good. I iced it on and off all night and kept it elevated.

put dogs in outdoor kennel
hit the road for the day.

Crop night last night was fun as always!!!! I finished 3 pages!!!! I got lots of scrappy time since it was almost the same gals as always and they've all learned how to use the Cricut and I'm not needed to help much anymore!!!

I'm not sure what we're doing today. I'm going to go put away my scrap supplies from last night and then work on the AK swap a bit while everyone is still asleep. I know DS has a graduation party/cookout to go to and then I'm sure his social calendar is booked after as well, so DH and I will just fend for ourselves and maybe go to lunch and a movie. I wanna see Shrek and Prince of Persia. I'll let him choose between those 2!!!!!

Well it's sat morning. And I hava a list 3 miles long!!!

I went to drop bubba off at a friends house yesterday afternoon after school and sat with the mom and dad and we ended up calling dh when he got out and had an impromptu dinner! Smores by the fire after dinner. It was so relaxing. This family is a nice family. Salt of the earth type of people. This is the little boy that my little boy came home and said mommy Aidan dies cub scouts can I do it with him. And so began a friendship. My dh's get along great, we (the moms) do too and the three boys are like the best friends. It was a nice time.
Ok I am getting up and getting movin.

Gotta go to the cemetery and do the flags. After that, we have to pack and drop Morgan off at my sister's and hit the road. Taking our time getting there. Will stop at Big Lots on the way, and find somewhere for lunch.

We are have neighbours over for a BBQ (vegetarian - a bit of a challenge but I found a GREAT recipe for portabella mushroom burgers - yummo)

Clean kitchen (sinks and micro)
Clean out fridge to make room
Tidy Back and Front Parlours
Dust first floor(dd)
vacumn first floor (ds)
Clean first floor bath
Mow lawn (fornt and back yards -DH)
Throw in a load of laudry (mine)
Straigthen up the gazebo
Make grocery list
Stock drink fridge
Shower
Make fruit salad
Cheese and cracker, guac and chips

Mornin' all...

Today is a new day.... celebrate one milestone last night..another one today.. My DS is now 14!!! So today will be celebrating him.. We are going bowling in an hour, than down to the restrauant of his choice, a swing by big lots (provided Jacksmomma hasn't cleaned it out! LOL)...than to the mall to look around!!!

quiet today - we didn't go to the hosp, nor even call. Nephew came and helped take up the remaining carpet, dh painted three ceilings and I scrubbed and started on the garage. Yuck. Is all I can say. When i can't work any more, I sit and research Alzheimer's units.

Hope at least SOME of you are having a good weekend ;-)
