Sun is shining here but it's muggy and warm and in the 90's - too hot for a hot flashing woman, hahaha! Hope to go for a walk later this evening.

I've got my Saturday chores done and DH pressure washed the patio and front porch :)

I'm getting ready to scrap some and think about my Mama and what will be her last Mother's Day on this earth. She has been battling Alzheimers for the last 11 years. Currently she is in a Hospice facility in north Georgia in the very late stages of this horrible disease. She can barely move, doesn't recognize any of us six kids nor my Dad who has diligently gone six days a week to sit with her for 4-8 hours a day since last September. I was there for a week just two weeks ago to spend time with her and to help my Dad with his spring cleaning. It was so hard to see her like that, this vibrant woman who so enjoyed being a Mom, who traveled the world with six kids and her husband. I miss her soo much..

Hugs to all of you wonderful Moms and your Mom and Grandmothers - time is precious, make the best of it...

Bless your heart Poppins2000!!!! You made me all teary.. I despise that disease.. it stole my Grandma... the only blessing is on her last Christmas she was able to meet my last son... if only I would have remembered the blasted camera for photos... :(

Well, we ended DS15's soccer season undefeated, we tied the last game.. it was a hard fought game between both hometown teams so it was nice to end in a tie.. however my DS is in trouble for missing his goal.. popped out of keepers hand and his whiff kicked it.. needless to say, his full name was blurted out and "you are so busted" boy!!!! It was nice that both teams we supportive of one another and it was a great game!!!

Next game tomorrow for DS11..

Ok, better get to scrappin.... I got senior items to finish!!!

Evening all

sounds like you all had great days

we went to a logging expo in Burlington (well Essex) and pick up our first piece of college paper work :scared1: for SUNY cobbleskill for Levi OMG! I'm not ready for the thoughts of this to start already

now making plans for Eric and a buddy to go fishing tomorrow

Off to finish cleanin the upstairs hall and part of the scrap room (which has been dumped in badley).

Thanks Nan...Alzheimers took my Grandma too, only she was 89 when she died and that was 5 years ago. My Mom is only 75...can you imagine, Mom didn't lose her Mom until she was 70!! Anyway, that's kinda why I started scrapbooking - if this disease does pass down thru the generations and I happen to get it, I want DH to take me through our scrapbooks to see what a wonderful live we shared together...

we lost my daddy to Alzheimers also back in 2003...my saddest part is that Megan didn't know him the way he was before ...he was already getting pretty bad when she was born in 2000 and went quick due to having seizures also, he was diagnosed in 1998. I did take lots of photos of them together and will cherish them forever :goodvibes
