thanks girls.
he is nutty over them lately. and he works hard all in week in school, so we are trying to reward him for all his hard work by having game night on fridays. so i guess we will do pizza and a game of his choice. he did get quite a few from santa that we have not played yet. Like an Indy Jones dvd one. It looks like fun. But i have a feeling he will pick monopoly. Maybe because he's been talking about it all week!!!!
We were looking over the games when I was in the closet getting shorts to wear and I noticed that he got a tag reader thingy from leapfrog from my bil and sil for christmas, and he's such a good reader that i really don't think this would be good for him. I would hate for him to go backwards in his reading. So I don't know what to do with it?? I have no receipt. My sil would be out of her mind mad if I dare to ask for a receipt. I have no idea how to sell something on ebay so that's out. Any suggestions anyone??

Oh, I'd probably pick Monopoly too Holly! I have a collection of Monopoly games. I think I have about 10 versions of it at the moment and 3 of them are Disney!

If you can't sell the reading thing, maybe you could set it away for a Christmas present or to donate to Toys-for-Tots or something at Christmas.

Thanks for asking about MIL. She's doing okay, but has been having some panic attacks. The oncologist meets with her today to let her know how bad the cancer is. We're all nervous about those results.

how funny Stephanie. we just have 2. we have regular and spongebob. i'd love to have a disney version. i'll have to put that on my list! have you ever played apples to apples? we have not opened that one yet either.

i thought about donating it to his class. but then i thought how would they share that? i guess i'll have to wait for toys for tots.

good luck with the results today. it is very scary. just that word oncologist to me is scary. i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers today. please let us know how she makes out.

We have played the regular version with our youth- some of the language is a little hard for them but they love the game and ir cn be quite interesting when they are choosing the winner in a category they don't understand. He would probablyy love the junior game. Occasionally we skip words with our youth group because of the sexual nature of them - in the adult version.

Wooohooo! Friday!

I'm working, but I think my boss is still out with his granddaughters. I've got an appt at 1:00 today about my wrist, it's been hurting a lot lately when I type, and that's pretty much what I do at my job. I'm also going to ask for a prescription for my allergies. They are really now. I need something with some oomph!

Apples to Apples is a great one for kids.. gets them thinking!!!
It also is quite humerous w/ the little ones since they don't know the words/definitions really well and need to figure out what works best.

We have 4 long shelves stacked of board games...
Another one your DS might enjoy is Disney Scene it.. it's a board/DVD game.. it's awesome!!!!

Lots to do today... so I just wrote my list on a paper and will mark off from there..
The kids have their day off from school and I have to get DD to track practice in a few so I'll see you all later!

We like Disney Scene It, too. Holly, I think you are right, I think the LeapFrog Tag reader would probably be too easy for Bubba. DS got one for Christmas and he loves it, but he's also 4. It does have interactive games that asks questions about what is happening in the story. Still, I think Bubba is way beyond that. Do you have craigslist in your area? We've had good luck selling things that way too....

Bah, good news, bad news...

Good news is I got a prescription for Allegra. Here's hoping it helps my allergies!

Bad news is the doctor thinks I have carpal tunnel in my left wrist...Oh joy! He gave me a prescription for a splint, which I'll pick up on the way home, and said to use ice and take 400-600 mg. of an anti-inflammatory (hasn't been working), and if it doesn't feel any better in a week, give him a call and we'll set me up with an ortho, since this is affecting my job. I seriously hope I don't need surgery though!

I need ice cream now.

We'll see what Target has when I stop to get my prescriptions filled, but ice cream is most definitely in order tonight!

Jennifer, I can't help with the carpal tunnel, but I HIGHLY recommend Neil Meds Sinus rinse. You can pick it up at any drug store, CVS, Walgreens. I have chronic, severe sinus issues, once taking prescription decongestant two a day chased with Excedrin. Always in pain. Since starting the Neil Meds a year ago, I have not had one sinus infection, and probably have only taken my prescription twice and Excedrin maybe three times. I wish I had started it years ago, I would have save myself a lot of torment.

Several others here do it as well with good results. I faithfully do the rinse once a day, twice if I feel a cold coming on.

Now go get that ice cream. I hope you feel better soon.
