It was great!!!
Of course the foolish bio mom had to make herself look like an idiot...but I just ignored it..
Literally threw herself on my DH in front of mutual friends... "Our baby".. WHAT? WHAT? Well, it may be.. you all divorced and have been for YEARS! Of course I get the last laugh b/c DH asked for a photo of him and DsS... got it...camera ready.. and DsS says, is this all going in my scrapbook!!! Well, of course.. good cause you are the only one who cares to take photos of MY big moments.. too which she stormed off...
Than there were several couples who witnessed her behavior and came up to me and said that it's so nice to see that I don't let her get to me... I thanked them... I didn't get a photo w/ DsS..but he did give me a hug...

Tell Cabana boy his auntie is super proud of him!!! Anymore word on college choices?

I have so got to explain cabana boy to you more... cabana boy is not my DsS... He is a cute friend of PJ's... I mean a cutie!!!!

I will pass on the congrats to DsS though!!! He is very proud...

Oh yes, you know how it goes... I can fill you in tomorrow!!!

The urge to knock her is always there...but like I keep saying.. you can't change stupid... I just smile and let it roll.. although DH did get an earful of it on the way to our anniversary dinner afterward...

Way to take the high road Nan!! A hug and being recognized for your efforts is awesome! Gloat, you sooo desserve it! It's a shame that biomom has to act the way she does, but you totally get kudos for keeping up with the memories! They can't say anything bad about that, or they way you act!! Having steps is so hard, but you are doing a great job!!

I thought you said cabana boy was DsS in the pictures. I'm so confused!!!!! Lack of sleep, sick kids, nightmare school, inhaling paint fumes in my futile attempt at having a pretty house again.
I may be slow but I'll get there eventually. LOL

We have friday and all of next week off, maybe I'll have a moment of clarity.

Good for you Nan. You and dh must be very proud of him. And Congrats to DsS for a job well done. and for giving you props for all you do for him. And I love that you smile and I bet that kills her. It must be so hard, but it sounds like you have got the best attitude about it!!

Yes it can be very, very hard..because she only thinks about herself.. not her boys... it's sad...but anyway..not to dwell on her because that is what she wants anyway...while she wants to be the center of attention... that is one option I will NOT allow her to have in my life!!!

He also got his SAT scores yesterday... they are good but not good enough he wants to take them again.. DH called him this AM and woke him up and told him that he is actually well above the average SAT scores in 3 of the colleges he wants to look at... of course DH reminded him that he got all his brains from me... which got DsS all up and laughing and saying..that he knew that..and got his great looks from me too! Gotta love that kid.. so of course DH tells me this and I have DH ask DsS "what do you want?" LOL

Thanks our anniversary is tomorrow!!!

We went to a pizza place in town that is really good.. it's all-american and is full of military/history memorabilia.. I love that place..

i love the home town favorite places. we have our fav place in the next town over and it's our go to place.
dh proposed there
i took dh there and told them we were going to have bubba
we went there when we signed on our house
all anniversaries
bubba's 1st birthday

we actually went last week before dh's friend went back to oregon.

no need for a menu anymore. just know what i'm having before i even get there.

that is the way it is here too... I need to get photos inside..it's amazing...
military personnel in uniform eat free!!!! I took my brother there when he came home from the service in 2002 and it was amazing.... the owner came over and chatted w/ him and saluted him when he left.. didn't have a camera as I wasn't scrapping at the time..but my Dbrother laughed at me for crying!!!! But what can you do... when you are proud of what he does....
