The Daily Grind ~ 4/30/12

Rachal, glad the bank is willing to fix the toilets. Porch rails are pretty easy, heaters not so bas as we head into summer, that gives you some time.

Seems to be a good amount of space, now you just have to make it "yours".

Good luck with the well inspection!

Cassey

Thanks!! they put them in so they should :)

exactly, just minor things in the long run. :cool1: I cant wait to get rid of the blue counter tops. It is a little smaller than we wanted but its laid out in a way that you dont feel it. :)

love the house Rachal! looks like lots of space! I agree on getting the PVC, no painting! make sure the pump for the well isn't too old either, we had to replace the one at our house in spokane was $1,700 and it was only 15 years old!

We have baseboard heat and it's amazing....we heat our house for 1/3rd of what others do w/ electric and gas.... Most around here in winter average about 600 per month... (the mild winters)..we didn't nudge but 200 once this past winter... 2 years ago when it was a bit worse I think our highest bill was 275...

I'd definitely re-do the rails... look into those pvc railing systems.... they look great and they don't require much if any additional maintenance...and they will definitely prevent the little ones from 1. stuffing each other's heads through the railings... or 2. falling through the openings you have now...

I hope the well inspection goes well... fingers crossed..

I had it in my old house and the apartment and never had high bills, we have it here and its insane, i think they heaters are too old and there are too many drafts. looking forward to cheaper bills for sure.

DBF said that I could have white rails (as long as the rest stayed wood) :cool1: so I will be looking into the low maintenance stuff for sure. He is also going to expand the laundry room by like 4 feet into the garage, right now my butt hits the wall if i were to put the front loaders in it.

Well, James saw the pizza then wanted to stand in the dug out & watch for it some more - he didn't even bat the ball

Reddy, that is something my daughter would do too. Gotta babysit the pizza!

Rachal your kitchen cabinets look similar to mine. I have a dark plum countertop. With the ivory cabinets almost any color countertop looks good.

The house looks huge, good luck with it.

Thanks, the color in person is almost a flesh color  so I think I am going to paint them a nice green color, not sure on counters just yet something nuteral. they have some new stuff thats easy to use and paint over the old laminate. So i think we'll do that since the blue isnt going to match what i have and new counters arent in the budget. :goodvibes

Congrats, Rachal, that looks really nice!

Thanks!

next crop is at my house!! :rotfl::goodvibes
