The Daily Grind ~ 4/3/12

Hello everyone!!! Things are I thinkk settling down for now.. I sure hope so... as I said on my FB... April has gotten off to a bumpy start and I would like a DO OVER!!! Looks to be that we have some answers, we have specialist lined up and Daddy will be on the mend... I am awaiting results on the U/S that they were running today because of a low level... However, I had to be home for big going ons around here... So, here is my list for today...

8:15am leave for Dr for PJ (college immunizations)
dr appt
home and ready for
10:40am leave for DS15's first drive w/ instructor
DS11 and I will browse the stores in town since its just an hour drive
I will have DS11 drive home since most of the area is quiet due to spring break
call and ck on my Dad again
call and talk to Buffy..easier to explain what she asked about then text it
call and talk to my Dad after he has rested
spend time w/ my kidlets since I have been away most of the last 3 days
scrapbook (I need to get 8 pages done today, SIOH is killin' me!)
DS15 back up to town to take his FINAL driver's ed class exam
dinner
crash (sleeping at the hospital w/ no blanket and in a chair is hard)

Today started early! Had a meeting that started at 8:30am and ran until noon. Stopped for lunch on the way home.

Nothing else on agenda until picking DD up at 5 from drama.

Need a nap.

Nan, hopefully they have some answers soon. No blanket? I'm surprised the nurses didnt offer you one. Next time ask for a nice warm one I love those straight out of the blanket oven

Today has been nuts.

DS didnt sleep at all yesterday or last night
Grocery run with all of the kids to get easter dinner stuff and a few other things with the double coupons. cheap essentials.
working on lunch now
hopefully get some baking done. cookies for easter, rice crispy treats and some pink lemonade cupcakes for DBF's bosses baby shower on friday.

get 5 pages scrapped today no matter what

ignore the bridezilla that used to be my sister.she is finally getting married and not once but twice cause she's special. and she wants all but DD3 in her wedding cause she probably wont do her flower girl duties and ruin 1 of her precious weddings. They even made a huge production out of dress shopping without DD#3. and it hurt her feelings. My sister is sending me nasty texts about how its her day and she will do what she wants and that if I want a say to have my own wedding. HA! I did and nothing went my way at all every choice I made was a battle with my mom even though she didnt provide a dime. So now on to the battle of the wedding crap has begun. I hate weddings. sorry for the vent. I just hate Weddings!!

Dinner- not sure yet depending on DS maybe be fend for yourself night. last night was eggs

hmmm I think I would complain to your mom or I would plan a Disney trip for during the wedding with DD3 - Tell sister it is either the whole family is invited or none of us will be there & if DD3 is having to sit on her own then she would most likely would come up & join you or her sisters. Mickey would be happy to see the whole family -- I can be a witch for attending weddings with my kids

Haha. They don't have a date set for the 2nd one just yet. Oct or Nov- our trip is planned for the end of November. I just think its rude, DD#3 will be almost 5 when this wedding comes along and she's not going to notice? Please. I just replied that since she was being a not so nice word that she can just find other people to be in her wedding. Problem solved!

nan glad things are evening out on your end. NO BLANKETS come on people I know that nurses are over worked but really...... I would have been complaining


well my life is over FIL is home god help me. Although I do have to give him 1/2 an ounce of credit he did say that the house looked nice and how hard tom and I must have worked. I told him that I would do more cleaning (scrubbing of stuff) tomorrow when I dropped off his meal. I now have hot water to do it with since he just had to buy a new tank that tom put in this pm. He did start to complain abt where things were and we faked a lot of stuff.

Off to have dinner with my boys and then a glass of wine and a bubble bath

Rachal.... solution to bridezilla... DISNEY vacation is already prepaid and you can't change the date (even if you aren't going)... sorry bridezilla!!! My sister did this too... except because DS15 was not in it.. she included him in everything and got him a big gift... I was the most hurt as I was not asked to be in her wedding but she wanted me to attend everything and plan her parties.. LOL NOT!! Stick to your guns and keep all the kids out of the wedding.... let her find others to drive nuts!!!


I know I should have asked for a blanket but the way my sister was behaving with them, i decided to be the sweeter of the two and I got more information and assistance with them... I'm not talking to her right now as she has evidently been talking w/ Rachal's sister!!!

Nan, I'm sure they would have brought you a blanket no problem since you were nice. I've found being nice to my nurses gets you a lot better treatment.

I'm not in hers either but I was already told about the cake, which was my moms way of "asking" me to make it. What?!

Weddings make people nuts. She had my dad call to give me the whole life isnt fair speech. I understand life isnt fair, but apparently my sister needs a lesson in that. If it was one kid only in the wedding it wouldn't be a huge deal, but 2 outta 3? No way. She then got an earful on how things arent fair when it comes to weddings and families. I did ask dbf if he thought I was being a butt about the whole thing, he said yes, but only because they were butts about it first. Haha. Love that guy!
