~The Daily Grind~ 4/21/10

Good luck Pam, I hope it's nothing.. keep us posted!!!

Jennifer, go get some chocolate.. you deserve it... that's awful..sorry he is being not a nice boss today/this week... maybe he is planning something for Friday? We can hope, right???

Pam, I hope all is okay. :wizard: and !!

Jennifer, that's horrible that your boss did nothing, but maybe he'll do something tomorrow or Friday. My DH has 3 assistants to make a fuss over, but he's out of town today so he'll be doing his thing tomorrow. I made cards for him and then we got each gal a gift card since we figured they would probably prefer that over a gift they probably wouldn't really like or can't use.

I had such a fun time at work today. We just finished resetting the scrapbooking department in our store (I think all the stores are doing this) and I spent the entire day putting out paper and stickers and chipboard and flowers. What fun looking at it all as I stocked. We've got things set up by theme now. It's so much nicer!

Well - the good news is that it is *nothing* more than getting older!

It is a tiny floater that may go away in a couple of months...or not. It is annoying, since it constantly flits across my left eye, but the doc says that's because it is new. Once I've had it for awhile, I won't notice it as much. Great. :headache: Go back in a month to check in again...

But, no damage, tears, rips, etc. - so it is all good! Thanks, everyone for your concern - it came on so rapidly with the pressure/pain that I was a bit worried.

Good News:goodvibes

Have fun in NYC tomorrow...

Oh I see, you'll share with your co workers but not your DIS Sistahs? :snooty:

I like the No Complaining Day.

I like this too! It goes along with my accent the positive, eliminate the negative. :thumbsup2

Ok - I won't complain that I didn't sleep last night;)

You should have called me. DD had me up past 1:30 am , ugh. :scared:

PBF, how is your eye? Dr give the okay?

Another no do day. :)

We did run out to do a few errands. DN needed to get a NY Times for a school assignment. MomE needed to go to the post office. We met the sweetest man with a rottie dog. We arranged a play date between DN's dog who is arriving tomorrow and Baxter. Stopped at Trader Joes, and bought some Powerball tickets - $252M. Ahh the trips to WDW I could take with that. :goodvibes

Oh yeah, when we got home, I mowed the yard. First time ever I had to mow this lawn so early in the season.

Jennifer - I say use the corporate card to get yourself something nice! Hahaha.

This is why I don't work in an office.

Hahahaha...I've thought of that!

He's very nice, very generous, understanding about time off, leaving early for girl scouts/sports/school/whatever stuff, but he hasn't done anything for Admin's Day in years! I know it's in his calendar. He just doesn't seem to care anymore.

I didn't get any chocolate, but I'm going to have some Skinny Cow ice cream later ;)

That's good news Pam!

Mmmm, skinny cow. She's a little freaky looking, but her ice cream is good.

Jennifer--I don't think yours was complaining! Calling your boss a jerk for skipping Admin Day is a FACT. . .not a complaint!

Pam--I'm glad to hear the eye is ok!

I made it pretty well today. I didn't complain--though I really, really wanted to. The problem is that I would like to make others (co-workers) STOP complaining, and I can't seem to wave a magic wand and do that!!

DH had a work dinner tonight. Said he would be home at 7. At 7:30, I get a text (not a call), "I'm on my way". He gets home, walks through the door, and says, "Why do you look tired?" Ummm, hmmm. Ok, not complaining. It's possible that he may need to use his medical insurance tomorrow!! :rotfl2:

Pam - glad your eyes are just old.;) I have a floater in my left eye. Bothers me sometimes more than others.

DH had a Meeting after work and then was going to go ahead and drive to out of town meeting tomorrow. He said he would call and let me know what his plans are. He didn't.:headache: Not that I am complaining....:confused3;)

Haven't accomplished much today. But no ER visits so thats something right!?

Dinner is baking. Laundry is dry but not folded.

OK OK will go fold it. Gosh slave drivers.:yay:

No ER visits.. that is a good day!!!

I worked and worked and worked all day... and we are still working w/ DS13 for his egg drop project due when.. TOMORROW!!

Love the egg drop project!! My BF has 4 kids - their nerf basketball is well used - :lmao:

But never a broken egg!:thumbsup2

Wonder if our school here does the egg drop!?
