~The Daily Grind~ 3/31/10

Jennifer do please report on the book when you read it!!

And Nan...don't forget to do that thing..;)

DH says thanks to everyone for the bday wishes :teeth:

I didn't stay at the gym very long today, but every bit helps. 20min on the treadmill. The place was crowded today, we usually have the place to ourselves.

That flooding you all are having is just insane! We dried out today, and it warmed up nicely. Hope that weather is headed your way!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Deb!

Christy, your child is not a brat. Sounds like he is being a boy. With your continous guidance teaching him right from wrong, he will be fine.

My Wednesday to do list:

Feed cats and clean their boxes
Write in DD's communication book
Fold laundry
Get DD up and ready for school
caffeinate
work
here is where my day went into a whirlwind. I got a call from DD's school. She had a seizure at school and they thought I should come pick her up.:scared1: DD has never had a seizure ever. I told the nurse that I was absolutely DUMBFOUNDED that they didn't call 911 to have her brought to Children's to be checked out. I ran up to her school, 1/2 hr from where I was then a 1/2 hr back into the city to the hospital. I called DH on the way to met us. No reason could be determine why she had the seizure, she has been cleared to resume all activities, with the exception of swimming until she mets with a neurologist.
Home for a quick dinner, oversee tubby time and early to bed for all of us.

Oh Lisa!! How scary! What is up with the school that they didn't call 911? Glad it's all ok now, but so scary!

I have to say I was furious. I will be speaking to the director tomorrow about it.

I just can't imagine a school not calling 911 for a medical issue that the child has never experienced before. Holy heck is going to be raised.

OMG, Lisa! Are they insane? Whatever happened to "always err on the side of safety?"

Hand them their hineys in a hammock tomorrow - we'll be thinking about you!

Lisa thank you! he is definately ALL boy and a stubborn one at that.

I too would be handing them their behinds on a platter tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers will be with you on this one.

I am frightened for the peeps at your DD's school, Lisa (although they deserve it!). Give them heck!

Oh Lisa that is just unacceptable. I'm so sorry to hear that it happened in the first place and on top of it not to call!
Go get them today! Please know that my thoughts are with you.

Holy cow Lisa... I hope you light them up today... That is UNACCEPTABLE!!! That is a serious issue that should have been addressed and let medical professional determine if she was okay or not....

I am so sorry you had to deal with that... how is Princess doing today?? How are you doing??

The Director called me first thing this morning, we have an understanding of how things will be handle should DD ever have another seizure at school.

Unfortunately DD had a second seizure last evening in her sleep. Let me tell you CPR training comes in handy, not only to know what to do, but to do it calmly. She is fine now, hopefully no further ones will develop but her pediatrician is going to arrange an EEG and a MRI with the neurologist. In the meantime, her dr said she can go to the Cape this weekend so we will leave in the morning. I think a nice weekend wil be good for us.

Oh Lisa I am so sorry. I hope she is feeling better tonight. Have a great time at the cape this weekend.
I'm here is you want to talk.

Oh Lisa, I am so sorry.. I whole-heartedly agree that CPR training is a must for parents... DH is certified every year and so am I...

I hope you all have a good weekend at the Cape...

Lisa I hope you are all able to enjoy the cape this weekend. Hopefully the Dr gets the apts arranged quickly. CPR is defnately important.

 Oh Lisa, I would scared out of mind. I hope the destressing at the Cape helps everyone.
