So my body had gotten in the habit of waking me up at 2a...and then I can't get back to sleep... It's starting to get on my nerves!


My list for today:

Caffeinate- this repeats everyday!!

Keep to my points! Must watch carbs too...

Work till 3p

Go to CU

Go tanning

Swish and Swipe...

Dinner- Left overs.

I've got today off, but it's not going to be all fun. I've got my (overdue) annual exam with the girlie doctor today. I've got to ask for a sleep aid of some sort. I'm soooooooooo restless lately!

Here is my running list for the week. Two more days to go I decided to delete what I have finished so my list looks shorter as the week goes on.

And YES!!! I am getting excited. We leave for the airport when the boys get out of school tomorrow (around 2:45). Then we drive to see DD at college since it is only a short distance out of the way. We haven't seen her in about 6 weeks. Unfortunately, she can not skip classes to come with us But I am excited to see her. So dinner with the whole family and then off to the airport hopefully in time to catch Amercian Idol at 9. Flight leaves bright and early at 7 am on Thurs. We should be in FL by 9:30am and at OKW by 11 am at the latest if all goes well. Then 9 days of sun and humidity

Looks like rain today! YIPPEE bleck.

Not much on my list today - driving to Modesto to have lunch with a friend. Dropping 4H horse show forms at fair office on my way. I will reboot laundry on my way out.

Maybe have to check out Beverlys while in town - its like JoAnns - maybe a cousin? or Sister? but used to have a huge scrapbooking section! And go to kids furniture store where I bought DD10s big girl bed back when - hoping the furniture line is still in production so I can buy the matching trundle for DD2.5 since they share a very small room here. Then I can get rid of the crib and DD2.5 can have the set in her new room in the new house.

Its my plan right now. Guess we will know in a few hours if its going to work out.

Have fun WDWMom... I need to touch base with you after your vacation about having a college kid!!! Time is flying for graduation... and now we are trying to make him decide where he is going.. he is so fly by the pants.. not me.. make a decision and lets move on this.... I applied to my dream school in Sept/Oct... was accepted by December!!!


Okay today is day 2 of spring break.. DS9 has the sniffles, DS13 is achy and DD is just grumpy... lol yay me!


Today:
1. finish 6 more pages... I have a HSM one I did yesterday that I love.. I need to glue down and add the finishing touches to it after lunch today!

2. DS9 must finish 1 more project if not 2 for his rabbit project

3. Start packing list/needs list for Disney/FL trip (need to start buying a little at time even though I probably should inventory what I already have first! )

4. mark on calendar when my homemade passports should be received from artscow

5. check w/ DH and DD to make sure she is still going to Grandpa's to work on her woodworking project.. I'm getting a new entry way shelfing/seat unit..

however, where the middle two "coat racks" are will be a mirror in the center & shelving units throughout... We have sketched and ready to fit right in the entry way! I can't wait! The bottom seat base cabinets are big enough to hold my scrapbooks!!!!

Nancy, I'll talk to ya anytime about grad/college. Thankfully DD is a planner (or I am ) and we checked out schools summer before senior year, applied before school even started and was accepted to all 4 by Oct. Had narrowed it down by Thanksgiving to just top choice and 2nd choice depending on financial aid since 1st choice was private.

It can be overwhelming, but take it one step at a time. If DS is dragging his feet maybe that means he's not ready for a 4 year place or really hasn't found one that is a great fit. Happened with DD's roommate. DD now has a room to herself for the semester because RM didn't come back after Christmas break.

We've been taking him on site visits since his Junior summer.. I'm the planner..
He has been accepted to 5 schools... 2 lower on the list.. the 2 ones he wants the most are the most expensive..and as you know the $$ only stretches so far when you still have others to raise, a roof to maintain, etc... this is my DsS...so we have to work with DH's x... what a treat! (note excessive sarcasm here!)

We are going to start taking our DD this summer to colleges... She wants to look at UCF (Univ. of Central Florida) so we are going to take her there while we are on vacation this summer... it's her 3rd choice... It's amazing how much mail the kids start getting their sophomore year of school.. holy cow!!!

Anyway, I'll touch base after you return and settle in... Have a great vacation!!! Have a dole whip or two for me!!!

She wants to look at UCF (Univ. of Central Florida) so we are going to take her there while we are on vacation this summer... it's her 3rd choice... It's amazing how much mail the kids start getting their sophomore year of school.. holy cow!!!

UCF is a nice school- we have a number of our youth from labelle that have gone there- if she wants to talk with someone who has gone there let me know and I can get a email address to her. If she ends up going there we may still have a youth or 2 there by that time- DH's seminary is only about 5-10 minutes from there so he sees some of those youth more often and at times spends the night with one of the guys when he has Fri/Sat classes and I can't go with him (when I go we stay at Disney).

We will be doing a tour of UCF this summer as well. It's DS's 2nd choice school. We're going to tour the 3 Florida schools he's interested in this summer and then he'll be working on the applications and getting them submitted as early as possible. He's not a planner, but I am so I will be on him to get it all done.

He'll be applying to a few out of state colleges, but he's on track to get Bright Futures, which will pay most of his costs at a Florida university, so we'll be sticking to an instate school probably. We've got some wonderful colleges here in Florida and the 3 he's looking at have wonderful programs for his intended major.

UCF is the closest public school but there is also at least 1 private college in Orlando- I had a high school friend who went there but I don't know the name- of course it depends on the area he is looking at- UCF is known for their hospitality school and their computer department (graphics and design), I also know a number of accountants that have gone their.
